3.5 seems on point as 3 stars is "a-okay" by Yelp standards. I'm going to round up because of how well they handled our big group without much notice. We went with a large group (what's up, UKG Identity crew!) from a workshop and they were able to accommodate all 20 of us with style. You never expect good service when going anywhere with a big group so I was more than pleasantly surprised. Beyond that, the food was also better than I expected! This place looks like a fry-up and, okay--fair enough, it is; but everything was hot and fresh and great tasting. I ordered the "Texas burger" which did not disappoint. My only ask was that it did not come out wet (because I don't lie a wet bun) and they accommodated my "extra" request. The fries were hot and crispy and I got salt and malt vinegar to dip them in. Missed opportunity was not getting seafood but everyone around the room was happy which, to me, equals success. I'd take the work crew out here again, any day of the week. read more

Over the years I have eaten at Flanigan's many times. I have eaten as a carnivore (easiest), pescatarian (easy) and vegan (not the easiest). I have had extraordinary service and meh service. Unfortunately, Yelp is a moment in time typically determined by the latest dining experience. Today my daughter and I were on our own for lunch. As tables around us were greeted and orders were taken from people sat after us, we were still waiting to meet our server. We finally got to order. Typically my daughter gets the kids' mac n cheese. Today she decided that she wanted wings and fries. Unfortunately they only offer wings as a meal M-F (10 wings & fries for $5.99) so today I had to order 5 wings (8.88 because she wanted ranch dressing) and an order of fries ($4.99) and because there is no wings kids' meal, I also paid $2.99 for a kids' drink (same price as my drink). My kid drinks carbonated water so it wasn't juice or soda or milk. So my kid's lunch was $16! I had the pasta Caesar. Typically it has a ton of veggies. Today there was 3 little pieces of broccoli (and I mean little), 1 piece of red pepper, one black olive (cut into 4) and about 5 little pieces of onion. There was plenty of pasta and lettuce. It was more of a crouton salad because there was no shortage of those. The kid's menu comes with a scratch off ticket. Normally my kid wins nothing. Today was her lucky day. She won a chocolate sundae (2 scoops of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup, whipped cream and cherry on the side for me). That was probably the nicest our server was. She seemed much more pleasant with the table of 4 across from us. With tip our meal was $33! A bit much for what we ordered. We will most likely be back, it's local. It's not my favorite. read more

I've been a customer of Flanigan's, specifically the Davie location for years! But a few months ago, I met my friend and her kids at this location (Weston) and haven't been back to the Davie location since. My last experience at Flanigan's was hands down, the best experience and it's all because of our server Paul! Our party of 8 arrived on a Saturday night. We were told the wait was going to be 1 hour. After waiting only 20 minutes, we were seated and greeted by our server Paul. As he has kids himself (his wife was actually being induced the next day with their second child), he let me quickly order my toddler a meal off the kids menu. Before Paul was back with our drinks, the kids meal of bbq ribs with fries was on our table. Now talk about fast! Throughout our meal, Paul made sure we were happy customers. Paul made sure to keeps our drinks filled and he would even take away the dirty dishes, as need be. Paul's service was really the best! He was quick, yet efficient and personable. On this particular night, we ordered an assortment of appetizers, salads and meals. There wasn't one complaint about the food. Actually, everyone was raving on how good the food was! The food was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. It may have been the best food I've ever had at Flanigan's. The next time I dine at Flanigan's, I'll be sure to ask for Paul as I know he'll provide excellent service. read more

It's amazing the things you miss when they're no longer available to you. Such is the case with Flanigan's. Hurricane Irma came and went, and well, my boyfriend having a mild case of cabin fever is putting it lightly. Not to mention that we are social beings and love to go out. Consequently, as soon as we could, we got out of the house and went to go get some ribs. Before anything, I have to say I have nothing but the best things to say about this place. This restaurant was one of the first ones working after the storm. They were calm, cool, and collected. Our server, Nick, was fantastic; he was very personable and everyone in the table was pleased. To clarify, everyone in the table consisted of four people: my boyfriend's parents, my boyfriend, and myself. That said, we ended up at this restaurant because my boyfriend had a huge craving for ribs all throughout the storm and then some. As soon as the storm passed and we heard life was slowly returning to some sort of normalcy, we went and I must say we were fortunate. We missed rush hour. That time instead seemed to have been when we left, but anyway, here's the rundown of what we ordered. Boyfriend had a beer, while everyone else had water. We shared an appetizer of rib rolls. They were very filling. Afterwards, we all had baby back ribs. Well, that is everyone but my boyfriend's mother who had a chicken sandwich. I hadn't been to Flanigans in years until this visit. The Weston location is big and comfortable. We had an inside table and our server, Sherry, was friendly, efficient and came back to check on our drinks. She added to the happy ambiance of the place. Years ago I used to love the teriyaki chicken so for old times' sake I had to order it. It was delicious! A large chicken breast flattened and grilled. Just enough teriyaki sauce, bacon and Swiss cheese. Great combination! The sandwich is served with one side and I chose the fries- curly fries! They were terrific. DH has the legendary ribs. So of course I had some also- very tender and tasty. Meat fell off the bone. Their bbq sauce has a vinegar base which didn't thrill me. But the ribs were tasty. I'd definitely come back, if not to this location, maybe to one closer to where I live. Enjoyable dinner with good friends. Always a plus. read more

We frequent Flanigan's quite often for lunch, so we decided to finally leave a review. It's definitely a great option for lunch. Their 5.99 lunch menu options don't disappoint. I usually alternate between the flaningans burger or wings for lunch. Today, the Flanagan's burger was cooked to perfection. It was delicious and juicy! I had the burger with a side of fries and some signature flaningans lemon butter rolls (always so so good!!). My husband had the wings and they looked great -- he always said they tasted as good as they look! The service is always good, even during their busiest lunch time! Staff is responsive and attentive. I normally don't have an issue with Flanigans. But this particular location rubbed me the wrong way. Mainly, it was the waitress that helped us. As soon as we sat down, we specifically asked for the lunch special which included a 10 ounce burger. When I wanted to replace the potato for a salad she mentioned that if I had a salad it would no longer be the $6.99 price. She then asked me if I wanted to drink and I told her I did not. We get the check and when I look, I was charged the regular rate for the burger. So when I asked her, about it she said that because I didn't order a drink that the meal came out to be the regular price. My point here is, we had a wholleeeee discussion with you about wanting to get the lunch special. Why not mention that??? You did tell me that the salad Would not allow the price to be 6.99 so if I didn't order a drink wouldn't you think of mentioning that as well and let me know that it would not be the $6.99 price as well? I obviously didn't know, which is why she enlightened me when I asked to replace the salad in the first place. Anyways, her attitude wasn't up to par either. Not hospitable or friendly at all. She did her job and occasionally stopped by to ask us if we needed anything. The birds annoyed me at first. They flew everywhere. But they actually weren't that bad, as they helped the time pass since she was ignoring our table for at least 10 minutes before coming over to us. If this was delivered to me kindly and at the right time I wouldn't have such a harsh review. However, her whole demeanor and intent felt off and not nice. Best way to LOSE A customer is BAD customer service. No matter how good the sale/ food/service is. It's the customer service. I'll be going back, just NOT the Weston location. Stopped by here on the way back to our resort from the beach and the food was SO GOOD!!! My husband for the ribs and chicken wings combo for us to split. We are from Virginia and he even said he can't name another place that has better ribs!!! I didn't try the ribs but the wings we got flavored Hot and they were phenomenal. He also ordered the rockin rib rolls and he has nothing but good things to say about them! Service was great! We sat outside overlooking the water. I came to Flanigans with my boyfriend and a few friends. I was seated at table 16 where our server, Melissa, had served us and asked what drinks would we like first. I ordered the "Life's a Peach Margarita" to which it tasted like peach water with a lime. After we had gotten our drinks, the server did not come to ask us for our food order until about 10 minutes later. She would also only come to our table if we waved her down. She had checked on other tables behind us or near us but wouldn't come to ours. After she came back and we ordered the tumbleweed onions as a starter, they tasted like nothing but straight oil with a side of honey mustard that tasted like mostly mustard. After we had been done with the appetizers, which we hadn't really touched after a few bites, we ordered our food. At this time, we had used plates stacked in front of the server and she would only grab one cup and had left the plates on the table until about 10 minutes later. Just to clarify, the place was not packed and there were only about three other tables with people eating in our section. Once we received our food, I had gotten the shrimp pesto pasta and my boyfriend had gotten the blackened dolphin sandwich. The pasta looked amazing; however, it literally only tasted like boiled noodles and shrimp. The carrot had more flavor than the whole plate of food. I had only taken about 4-5 bites of the pasta, did not take it to go, no flavor, not appetizing. The blackened Dolphin sandwich buns were burnt and the dolphin hadn't tasted like anything either. I been eating at big daddy Flanagan's for years. The service is normally very good, but tonight it was some of the best service I have ever had. She was good! She mad sure we were well taken care of. We we need a few minutes to look over the menu and she didn't forget about us. We need extra napkins, they were there. Drinks needed refilling, she gotem quick. When the food came out she checked on use and made sure every thing was good. Tonight was buy a pitcher of whatever and get a loaded nachos for free. So we got nachos tonight. They were dam good! chips were fresh, the chilli didn't have to many beans and it was not overly wet and soggy. My wife whom doesn't normally like the nachos really enjoyed them. For me, I decided to have the chicken filly. The bread was warm and fresh. The chicken was tender and taste along with the onion and mushrooms. Personally I think the chicken filly is better than the regular filly.
