First time ever at this restaurant and unfortunately after COVID lockdowns, I'm still getting used to being around people. Translation, I'm was a difficult patron. The staff, and management were extremely accommodating and helpful. My party enjoyed the food and beverages under the PA night sky. The server was prompt and attentive even when I wasn't at my best. Any concerns I had were quickly addressed by management and staff. Looking forward to a future visit when I get back to the East Coast especially when I am more of myself. I Left my debit card there on Wednesday. While I understand the company policy of not letting you get it back without an Id. They took the policy way too far, I was will to provide a photo of my id and details about the card but the manager there caught an attitude on the phone and refused to provide the card. We were here last Sunday to see the Chicago Bears game on the NFL Ticket. When I called to make sure they were going to show the game there was no doubt in the bartender's mind it would be shown. So that was a nice surprise after calling a few local so called "sports bars" who were only showing what was on regular TV. The place was crowded so we waited until a few bar stools opened up. Ann Maria the head bartender/ manager was very accommodating when I asked which TV the Bear's game would be on. Then she asked where would we be seated to get a better view. The service was great, the beer was ice cold. The only negative is their game day/happy hour menu was not that good. I would pass on all the food except for the wings. I moved to the Conshohocken area a little over a year ago from Philly and was in search of a "local spot," luckily for me I found the BOATHOUSE! The owner Jamie is a class act, passionate about the business and super nice and her staff is the same way. Their daytime bartender, Anne Marie, makes every customers' experience feel like they're at "Cheers" and everyone knows your name, because she in fact takes the time to remember the "regulars" names. Bottom line- Best bartender in Conshohocken hands down! And last, but definitely not least, their food is awesome! Beer & Wings that's what I'm reviewing here: the wings are Awesome. Crispy and flavorful wings are what I come here for and they never disappoint. I love the peanut Thai and the sweet suicide wings. I've also had some salads to Balance the wings out and they were all pretty good (considering your ordering a salad at a bar). The fries are great too. I can't comment on other food bc I've only ever gotten the wings,salad,and fries. I would assume if you want deep fried bar food it should be good here bc the wings and fries are great! Beer!!! They have a huge selection of Beer and even have a bottle shop downstairs to mix and match bottles/six packs. They have a great selection of beer and shots and are cheaper than the bar next door. Sports. Yes, you can watch all of your sporting events here. TV's wall to wall for your viewing pleasure. We recently had Fish n Chips and Crab Cakes, both entrees approaching $30 a piece. The Fish tasted like talapia, not Cod and the crab cakes were either imitation crab or something that tasted like fishy mush balls. We sent both plates back less than half eaten. Our server asked if we wanted it boxed. When we said no, she asked if we didn't like it. We told her, and she said she was sorry and brought us the bill. When I lived in Conshy the Boathouse was always a great place to grab a drink, but nothing special. Boy, have they gotten special! Now, I'm no longer at the age where I'm going out for a crazy night of drinking, but this place always has an amazing beer list (and they get Pliny the Younger which is major bonus points for any place). My husband and I love nothing more than a good beer with dinner - and Boathouse delivers. The waitstaff is always so sweet to our kids and is almost always on point with their service. To pair with their beers, the Boathouse has great bar food. My go to is their Buffalo Chicken Salad while my husband loves their wings. And our kids? They're now addicted to the kids Rib plate - we've promised to go back soon so that they can have ribs and mac & cheese for dinner again. Aside from their regular menu, they always have specials that add a little something to their everyday. Honestly, we never leave disappointed and it's definitely worth checking out. PLUS, how could I forget? They have a Bottle Shop downstairs for even more great beers! We recently brought home some Stone Enjoy By and got 10% off by showing our dinner receipt! A Conshohocken staple. My boyfriend is a wing connoisseur and he gives these rave reviews. We always get the garlic parm sauce mixed with the hot sauce - every time the waiters are like that sounds great (that's because it is!) They should make it a menu option. Anyways, they also have a vast beer menu and a take out beer bottle shop in the basement (with wine too). The rest of the food is hit or miss. The nachos were good. Solid wings, big and meaty. They offer several sauces. So you can get them hot or mild but also honey BBQ, Asian BBQ (which is what I had today), Garlic Parmesan, and a couple others. As long as a place has good meaty wings as a base, I'm a fan of flavor varieties. I don't like when a place has 10 different sauces but puny or otherwise deficient wings. I've been going to this place for wings for over 10 years and they've been pretty consistent in quality. They're not "out of this world, crazy good, gotta have em" but they're solid and they will satisfy your wing craving should one arise. The place has kind of a college happy hour feel to it (my iced tea arrived in a large plastic cup) which is fine as long as the happy hour patrons aren't there when I'm there. Amazing wings!! Seriously just go here for the Wednesday deal of 10 free wings with a 60oz pitcher. They have a good variety of craft beers on tap so that makes this a great deal for us ($16-20 pitchers). We got the Peanut Thai wings which were delicious. If you like peanut chicken satay then you will love these wings. We also the Hot wings, but were slightly disappointed that they weren't spicy hot. I can only tolerate a few drops of Sriracha, and I didn't even think the Hot wings were spicy. So FYI, if you want spice try atomic maybe. Love the decor in here. An aquarium, large model ships, lots of marine theme posters. There was lots of open seating at 5pm but by 7 there was a wait to be seated and the bar was packed. Good bar and good wings. I've been to the Boathouse before but never for their wing / pitcher of beer special. I finally got a chance to stop in on wing night. I think the Boathouse is best for happy hour or for indulging in a large craft beer selection. They have a HUGE beer selection and that's the best part about this bar. I really was underwhelmed with their wings. I mean they were free with the pitcher and that's a great value but I wouldn't ever go there just for wings. As a few people said in their reviews don't go there expecting an above average meal. I tried a burger on this trip and it was pretty good but it wasn't anything to rave about. read more
