Louisiana joes looks like a small sandwich shop from the outside but inside it is a flavor factory. The staff was so warm and welcoming and were so helpful. We tried the pork sandwich, jambalaya and the Mac and cheese. There are so many great menu options, it was hard to choose. The jambalaya features shrimp, chicken and sausage. So flavorful and the portion size was excellent for the price. The pork sandwich was delicious - pork was super tender. But the star of the show - the Mac and cheese. We are Mac and cheese lovers and try it everywhere. Well congrats, Louisiana joes. You've officially taken the top spot for cheesy deliciousness. I just regret that we didn't add a protein. I wish they were open daily and had longer hours but I also love that they're not because the staff can have lives outside of work. Cannot wait to go back and try more!!!

I have yet to be disappointed by Louisiana Joe's Sandwich Shop. Everything thus far (*ahem 2…read moreitems*) has been flavorful and has opened my taste buds to wanting to try more. The first time I went here, I ordered their shrimp and grits. Simply put, it's delicious. I've been back a couple times just for that. On this visit, based off another Yelpers review, I decided to give the grilled cheese with the beef brisket a try. Sandwiched between two toasted and I want to say buttered (don't quote me on this) brioche sliced breads with Provolone cheese melted on the bottom half and cheddar oozing out on the top half is the perfectly tender and healthy serving of seasoned beef brisket. I had to eat it as soon as I got it to savor in the moment and experience it in its true form. Hot and cheesy. The two cheeses brought the sandwich together nicely creating a savory dance on your tongue. The cheese literally oozes out with eat bite. As good as it was, I know it will not be a frequent meal to grace my belly, because personally, it's just too much meat *for me*. Considering this, I ate the whole sandwich in one sitting. I'm not usually a brisket person, but I was willing to give this one a try. Cheese, meat, and bread, sign me up. It is a lot to eat as far as the meat is concerned, so if you're not a crazy meat eater, don't be surprised if you only have room to eat half if not one full slice. I also wanted to try their corn nuggets, which looks like fried corn bread but rolled into a ball, but they didn't have it that day. I left feeling a little deflated at that, but my belly was full. I doubt whether I would have been able to eat that along with my shrimp and grits. Note: the longer you wait to eat it, the Colder it gets and its not as good as the first couple of bites *IMO* When the mood hits, I will definitely be back to try something else on the menu.

They gave me so much shrimp and rice that I almost couldn't finish. And I'm someone who eats a lot. The catfish basket was amazing. The fish was fresh, juicy and tender. The seasoning was on spot. Every corner of the crust had some Cajun seasoning on it. The crab spring roll was a little bit hit or miss. I won't recommend it. The shell was a bit hard. But it's alright. My friend had the gumbo soup. She said it's amazing. It smelled amazing and the serving was great for like 8 or 9 dollars. They were super friendly. The environment is clean, bright and friendly. It was busy but with a good amount of loudness so people don't need to shout across tables to hear each other. The restaurant was also super spacious. Great for group hangout. There's also a bar. They also offer a lot of wine on their menu. We had 2 people ordered about 60 dollars. 30 max per person. Totally would recommend this place to anyone who loves seafood and Cajun flavor. I also love they put lemons on drinks. There's plenty of parking space outside for free.

The restaurant's ambiance was wonderful, with several spacious dining rooms that each had their own charm. We chose to dine on the outdoor patio, which felt like a rooftop restaurant in the city, with beautiful trees creating a canopy overhead. Loved the vibe ! Our party of four started with the escargot and clams. While I don't personally eat escargot, the others at the table thoroughly enjoyed it. For my entrée, I ordered the mahi-mahi with mango, which was phenomenal--extremely fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The other guests raved about the halibut in lobster sauce and the potato-crusted grouper. I finished with the carrot cake, and all though I was full proceeded to finish entirely because it was that good! A special mention goes to our waitress, Michelle, who was attentive and thoughtful throughout the evening. She even brought extra crostini so the table could enjoy every last bit of the escargot sauce. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we look forward to returning.

While waiting at the bar for a friend to arrive, I was swarmed by fruit flies, which should have been my first warning sign. The pours at the bar were skimpy, but I tried to shake it off once we got our table. The service there was actually friendly, and our server proudly told us the duck was a top seller, so we ordered it along with a salad and a fish dish. Most of what came out of the kitchen was diner quality at best--nothing special, but not offensive. The duck, however, was a disaster. It tasted old and stale, like it had been sitting in a freezer for months before being rushed through a fryer. The meat was fried to a dry, brittle crisp, and the only flavor came from a cloying sweet duck sauce slapped on top. No richness, no tenderness, no redeeming qualities. We absolutely hated our meal and the entire time we spent there. I can't recommend this place to anyone who actually cares about what they eat.

I stopped by last night after a multi year hiatus and was surprised to see the place so crowded on a Monday evening. The vibe has certainly amped up from quiet and relaxing to lively and frenetic, especially around the bar area. Maybe their "Mussel Mania" promo** (a 3-course repast for $39.95pp including appetizer, a nice array of mussels, fries and chocolate mousse) drew in the hungry hordes. I noticed that most tables chose to join the Mania when I was there. Service was good considering the situation. They offer an amazing selection of Belgian beers served up in authentic glasses from the breweries that produce them. I chose the dark Cherry Chouffe and appreciated its 8% kick and hoppy fruity taste. The lobster croquette appetizer was miniscule but tasty. Mussels with bread crumbs, served in a large black pot, were OK but on the small and dry side. Chocolate mousse dessert, presented in a small cup with chocolate sauce drizzled on top, was a puzzling Americanized version of one of my favorite rich desserts. I saw some tempting things on the menu and plan to stop by another night to sample different items; in fact the cheesy onion soup is calling my name now..... **Tip: Make sure to ask your server for the mussels promo if that's your choice, as it isn't offered on the main menu they hand out.

I was very disappointed that it wasn't Buffalo wings but for anyone who enjoys sweet chili, this is great! Had no choice but to eat it because it was my lunch at work. I didn't need a replacement but was calling to let them know. The wings are perfectly fried and juicy on the inside. The sauce wasn't too sweet which was good and the spice was pretty mild. The wings are meaty and the order is so much (already ate 2 pieces before remembering to take a photo). Spanky's still my place to order wings. We chose to sit and eat but it definitely seems as though it's more a takeout spot, they even have a cute little window for pickups. Regardless the staff was very friendly. We definitely ate with our eyes and went home with leftovers. We got the honey bbq wings, mozzarella sticks and the spanky sandwich and quesadilla. The quesadilla needed some kind of sauce or something. Felt a little dry. The sandwich version was good. The mozzarella sticks were standard who doesn't love a mozzarella Stick. My favorite were the wings so crispy and their honey bbq was great! The cocktails are only $10 which is great deal. We got the strawberry lemonade sans alcohol which is typically a cocktail. I would want to try other items and a $10 cocktail when I'm in the mood to see how they fare but really I would say the wings were the best item we got.
