Everytime we come here and order the food is always messed up.. They don't listen to what you order and then they charge you for white meat chicken and end up with dark meat. This place is way to expensive for a bowl of rice and some chicken regardless-the veggie bowl is just as much- they need to reduce there prices and get more organized and learn how to take orders. They are to busy playing on their cell phones to do there jobs here. Won't be back! read more

My mom came to get us some food here to go. They had messed up our order and she noticed when she was there so she told them it was brown rice not white rice so they fixed it. When she got home AGAIN my food was wrong they charged her for half and half bowl and chicken bowl but they gave her both chicken bowls. I tried calling but they NEVER answered. The food is decent enough to eat, but the best part about it that its healthy as it is advertised. Way better choice than fast food for sure, but it does range about 7-8 bucks. not really a place i would chill and stay to eat, but i use this place on the way back from the gym so it does what i need it to. If I could give negative stars I would . I don't normally review places even when they're bad. But today was the WORST. I went here on my lunch. First bowl. Chicken. I found a HUGE bone in it. I called and they seemed pretty unconcerned. I asked for a steak bowl and they exchanged it when I got there. Drove back to work for the second time and then I was mortified when I found what looked like a piece of a dirty used mop. Seems to me like someone got mad that I complained about the bone and decided to put something in my steak bowl. This lil piece of fabric blended in perfectly. Again. The guy said (same as the chicken) it comes readily prepared and he would be sure to complain to the manufacturer. Hmmm. What are the odds that I'd find two foreign objects in my food today. ? If these people are putting stuff in people's food cuz they don't like the customer...pretty gross and petty if you ask me. The health department needs to do some inspecting. read more

DAY OLD CHICKEN?????? First time I ordered chicken bowl was delicious. I Ordered a chicken bowl again but this time the chicken was DRY as sand paper, like eating dirt!!! It tasted and looked like pieces of chicken had been thawed andput in to grill to heat up and it was so disappointed and HARD to eat. Dang !!! Every time I come here to this particular place the kids that work here are rushing us out at 8 pm we get here and the boy is a manager and nods his head mad because there's more people coming in at almost closing time,he's rushing everyone by mopping close to our feet and sweeping really fast looking at the clock every 5 seconds,I could not eat my food in peace,and I asked the Asian girl to please make my bowl with no sauce because I'm gluten intolerant and she rolls her eyes,and gave it to me and says : it's takes longer to make without sauce I will never come to this p kace again read more

This is a great location! I call in an order at least once a week for my lunch break and the sweet ladies at the front are the reason I will continue to come here! All employees including the owners rushing to close, not to mention they weren't even working in informs how unprofessional and unsanitary! if i could give this place zero stars i would. i called over 20 mins in advance of me getting to the location to place my order. The girl took the order and said it would be ready, i got there to a huge line 10 people deep. i waited in the line just to get to the front and have the girl tell me she doesn't have my order and never made it but they can start right now. Then to make it even worse they didnt even have the person behind me to go order either!! Why call over 20 mins in advance to make sure i can eat lunch before going back to school if this place is going to be unreliable and flat out incompetent. this is the second time they've done this, i will not be returning. They didn't offer us anything as compensation for this experience which is extremely disappointing they just tried to blame it on us. do better read more

I never really had a problem at this Flame Broiler. The girl at the cashier is always happy to see you, and since I'm a regular she knows how I want to build my bowl before I even have to order. It's crowded during lunch hour, but if you wait like half an hour after the rush, you'll get your food quickly. I've never had a problem with their food, their Half & Half is always a great meal to get through the day. read more

This place specializes in rice bowls. People don't know where to get the bowls for cheap but all you got to do is use the coupon from online or the one you get in your mailbox. Some locations offer $5 regular chicken rice bowl. Coupons consist of buy two rice bowls get one free or 10% off a bowl. Small selection on the menu but very good food. You can add the magic sauce which taste awesome. Food is very healthy, they don't use oil, you can ask for brown or white rice, whatever you prefer. If your more hungry just buy two bowls simple as that, meal will be only like around $10-$12.50ish. Also ask them for a rewards card so you can accumulate points to get a free rice bowl once in a while. Will be coming back! read more

I eat at a lot of the Flame Broilers though out the Inland Empire, I must say that this location is by far the best ever !!!!!!!! I had the pleasure of talking with the owner yesterday and was able to find out about the homemade chili sauce and was shocked to know that this is a recipe that dates back over 100 years from her family. OMG !!!!! it is AMAZING !!!!!!. It compliments any and all items in which you may eat. Sadly she will not sell it in bottles to take home, but it is surly worth going back every time for. When you walk into this flame broiler, you are met with a pungent smell-- I guess its from the food? Maybe not, I go to Flame broiler in Menifee about 3 times a week for lunch and never does it smell.. Anyway, the female filipino cashier is rude and talks to you in a fast and short manner. Even looks at you like "hurry up and go" type of attitude.. When I was waiting for my food I saw both men either touching their face or picking their noses. It was disgusting. It was a put off to be doing that in a kitchen where you are working near food. I won't be going here again. The manger here is rude. She always has a bad attitude and argues with customers. I've been in there a few times because I thought maybe she was just having a bad day. Nope I was wrong. She's just lacks any knowledge of what good customer service is. They had got my order wrong and when I went back up to get it corrected she just argued with me about it and said that's what I paid for so that's what I was getting. WORST FLAME BROILER IN I.E.! The state of the front of house is an indicator of how the rest of the business is run. Dismay. Menus are crooked unleveled along with the TV. (Lack of caring and effort). The beverage counter is literally falling apart. The grout is black and it should be brown. All of these show they don't clean properly or care. Imagine the kitchen... Now the food, on two separate times I've pulled a chicken bone about the size of the quarter from the meat. Rice is often overlooked along with meat. Veggies will be added non proportionally to compensate for lack of meat in bowl. People have commented on employees lack of caring, that comes from the top. The owners of this franchise clearly don't care of the quality of their product but completely their margins. Don't go here. Go to a different flame broiler, this isn't representative of all of them. Man I love Korean food, and that is what this place really serves even though they don't say it outright in their marketing. I've eaten the beef, chicken, and pork short ribs here and I've never had a problem with the taste or service. You get your choice of one of these marinated items with white or brown rice (the brown is delicious!), along with a salad, and an orange wedge. I prefer this location to the one off of University because that location uses short cuts that take away from the quality of the food like constantly pressing down on the food as it cooks to make it cook faster. The end result of that method is burned food that is not as tender as it should be. I love their kim chi (definitely an acquired taste) and can say that it's the best that I've had in Riverside so far. The only real downside is that they don't have as many items as a traditional korean restaurant does. read more

So after trying the new place called Yama Hibachi Grill, I was left wanting. I still wanted a rice bowl to fulfill that rice bowl need in me. I've passed the Flame Broiler before but finally decided to try it after Yama couldn't fill that space in my stomach. I went there around 3 in the afternoon and the first thing that caught my eye was the B rating. I'm not a food snob by any means, but I decided to forgo the B rating and try it anyways. It wasn't the cleanest restaurant but there was a decent amount of people there being that it was 3 in the afternoon. I ordered a steak bowl and the service wasn't bad and neither were the prices. It was $5.55 plus tax for a bowl. They didn't add any sauce and I guess you're suppose to add as much as you want because they have Magic Sauce on the counter. The sauce wasn't "magic" or anything. It actually tasted like teriyaki sauce. From the picture I was worried that there wouldn't be a lot of meat. And unfortunately I was right. It had more meat then Yama's did, but still not enough for me. The rice was good and so was the meat. Just needed a little bit more. If you like a lot of rice and not enough meat this is the place for you. If you are ever in Ventura County you've got to try Chicken Bowl. It puts more meat than Yama's and Flame Broiler put together! Trust me! Its in Simi Valley and I implore you to go now! read more
