This was my first visit to this local dive-bar and most of the folks there seemed to be regulars. The first thing that struck me was the friendliness of everyone there. People seemed to be having fun. They are improving the place and so they do a few projects that are in flight but quite honestly it was still very pleasant. Even the dogs were having fun. Great friendly atmosphere. We had a reservation for a table and after a little confusion, it was apparent that some other folks had taken our table. The situation was quickly rectified and we were seated. The staff gave us menus and took our orders. With the local band drawing in crowds, including us, and the fact that they were understaffed, the service was always with a smile and courteous. The food selection was better than I expected and the salads were fresh and tasty. The meals were tasty too. Overall, I like the place and recommend stopping by to support a local bar. read more

We gave this place another chance after it has revamped their new menu. We had burgers and the French dip. All 3 meals had super greasy bread buns. It was rather strange. Our hands were greasy. Our dinner party didn't all finish our meals. Meat quality for the hamburgers was very poor quality. The bread buns for these meals appeared to be covered in grease or butter. Their menu is very limited. They really should only offer *bar food* appetizers only. The meals are not worth it ​ read more

We had an opportunity to work with the fantastic staff at Fizzie Mulligans earlier in July. From a bands perspective, there was good energy in the room and the stage was a great size to perform on. This is a bar that serves food, keep that in mind. The atmosphere is friendly, especially the staff. We went on prime rib night and the wait for our food was quite long. But, there was only one server dealing with the whole place, cocktails and food. The proportions are large and the price was fair. Big bar with a front and back portion, I guess they do live shows in the front. Plenty of tvs to watch the games, and delicious free pop corn. Our server was Dawn who had great recommendations ( the green beans and steak bites ) which were AMAZING. She also made our drinks perfect, a deep eddy grapefruit martini with a lemon twist, and was great at checking up on us even when the bar was busy. Minus a star for the dated and dark interior. We rarely go out to bars, but had heard this place was decent in our area. I was disappointed to find out there was no live music anymore there, though. It seems they decided not to do it at all anymore. The waitress/cocktail waitress was hovering over us a bit too much and I found her need to talk about politics in a pushy manner was a bit annoying even when we tried to change the subject and show we were uncomfortable. The only reason this place gets 3 stars was because the drinks were fast, stiff and a great deal. The bar tender remembered my order throughout the night and was always quick in making it. Called a few weeks ago to reserve space for my husband's 60th birthday party. The manager calls me today (2 weeks before the party) to tell me her employee made a mistake. They are not taking reservations that night due to it being StPattys day weekend. I was told "everyone leaves the parade downtown and comes her". Well she just lost about 50 customers. This place is pretty nasty inside. A bunch of regulars hang out in the back bar area. They have some pool tables and a golden tee. Prices here not that cheap on liquor. They have bands on the weekends and some are good , some are bad. Outdoor smoking area. Any food we have had here has all been sub par so we just come here to drink/dance. Plenty of TV's. Bands play in the front part of building. Bit strange how its all set up. Service here always decent. Bottom line is its not my favorite place to go, but I will go again . 2 1/2 stars. read more

That was my first and last visit to this dump. It all started off okay with our drinks arriving and placing a dinner order. But after that time stood still... I grew a beard... Eventually a helper brings out two cups of ice cold soup. These were never heated! After another long wait we flag some help to return the cold soup. An ice age passed before the soup returned. It was just a bit warmer than tepid this time. We barely got into our soup and a moment later our dinners arrived, prime rib, the special. No utensils or napkins though. The helper just dropped the plates and ran off. Another long wait to flag down some help. This one was our original waitress and she asks if we got our appetizer. I reply, "No, keep it! And we didn't get any utensils either!" As the words come out of my mouth our appetizer lands on the table from the helper. Now our waitress is crashing about the place looking for utensils as if nobody ever eats a meal here and they have to find these things. We get some utensils dropped at our table but no napkins and I have to ask for these too. Another run around the place to find napkins. Now we get to our dinner and it is cold. The steel plates can't go in the microwave so it all got slid off, re-heated, then re-mounted on the steel plates. The food came back at us looking like it was dropped - twice. Both our prime rib steaks were microwave-burned and chewed like leather shoes. Near the end of our meal the waitress finally returns to ask how the food is. I told her it was like rubber from getting burned in the microwave and she ran off to tell the cook. Another long wait before she returned... In the end she comped us my beer and the appetizer we took home, and she apologized. Don't bother with this place for the food. They only focus on pouring out beers. read more

I only go here when there is live music. They seem to have good musicians. Sammy Eubanks being one of them. I have not tried any of the food here. I have drank the beer! It usually seems busy but tend to get quick serivce if you can find a spot at the bar. They also have cocktail servers too but dont seem to use them much. They do charge a cover charge. I recently became Duchess of Fizzie Mulligans, I was hoping they wouldnt charge me but they did. I was also joking and he didnt find it funny. Ah well, the life of a doorman is a sad one. read more

I give this place 3 stars bases solely on the service. They often forget that this is spokane and even more so that this is north spokane and try to charge cover charges on busy nights or for bands that are so so. I went in Last Thursday to see an NFL game. In the past the service was slow in coming to order then receiving help with food or get more drink. This particular night brought more of the same. I went to the bar to pay. I expressed my dissatisfaction with slow service to a male bartender and the blonde woman server. She said they were understaffed. I said I supported them, but management should be notified of my complaint. They were visibly upset in expression, and I just asked to pay the bill. The bartender mumbled something and walked off and the woman laughed. I asked what he had said and she told me she didn't know. Why did she laugh then? I told her this situation is not funny. The food is nothing really special but it is more than acceptable for the prices they charge. I love the popcorn shrimp basket the most but our friends always eat the broasted chicken. Now for the best part - the drinks are great and are among the lowest priced in the Spokane area. It is a neighborhood bar so after a few visits you will become familiar with the regulars and will find that everyone is very friendly. They have a nice size bar and a even bigger dining area. If you don't care for the music you can sit with your friends in the dining area, have a drink or two, some good food and enjoy the day. New to the area, heard about this place and thought I'd give it a try. The overall upkeep of the place was a bit lacking walking through the door, but not bad. I've had some really great "dive bar" experiences! The food was OK, but for the price definitely not worth it. Didn't have a terrible experience, but I don't think I'll go back anytime soon read more
