I am very disappointed with Fizz Bakery. I have been ordering all my birthday cakes from them for the past 4 years and also referred numerous friends to them but they have turned me down twice now because they were "fully booked" If you truly are that busy then hire more help instead of turning away your regular customers that were there before your business took off. Also, the lady who helped me was very short with me and didn't seem to care much. Sadly I will be looking for a new bakery which sucks because we really loved Fizz. read more

I've ordered a cake from here before and it was perfect! I was able to order it about 1 week before the day I needed it.. I tried ordering a cake a few weeks ago for my boyfriends birthday and was not able to because they were closed which is understandable... Now I'm trying to order a cake for my birthday which is is in about 2 weeks. I emailed them about 5 days ago inquiring about ordering my cake. There was no response at all. I emailed them twice already and still nothing. Called during business hours and still no response, I'd be less frustrated if I'd at least got a response. Bar none one of the best bakeries ever. I need cupcakes for my daughter's baby shower and boy was I in for a treat. My friend told me about this place because she lived in Stockton. I can only comment on the cupcakes and the wonderful women who work there but the strawberry champagne cupcakes turned our mild baby shower into a game of thrones battle for the last cupcake. Just visited for the first time and I am quite in love! Every staff member was chipper and happy to help me, which is always a positive experience. We tried almost one of everything, and it was quite tasty. The apple turnover was piping hot and steaming when we picked it up. This review started with 5 stars. The cake was good. Very moist, flavorful, and beautiful; exactly what I was expecting. But they were 1.5 hours late. Supposed to be there at 5 and they were there at 6:30. That took off one star. Then 5 minutes after they left my cake topper fell off the cake and broke on the floor right in front of us and our guests. No one was near the table or touched it after they left. My husband said it looked like they put it near the edge of the cake and slightly crooked. That took off 2 stars. The grooms head broke off and the brides wings broke. We had to super glue the head back on but the wings are chipped and won't stay glued. I nearly cried because that was picked out by me and my husband. I will probably go back for treats but I will never order another cake to be delivered and after my guests witnessed everything they all told me they won't be going there ever. Update: my husband and I decided to eat the top tier of our cake now since we decided to buy a fresh one for our anniversary. Seeing as we only got to eat the bottom layer of our cake at our reception we realized that they also got the middle and top tier cake/filling favors mixed. This cake/filling combo was supposed to be in the middle because we picked a specific cake/filling combo for us to enjoy when we ate the cake later.. Update #2: We were able to talk to Tiffany. As before she was very sweet and kind. She expressed how sorry she was for the cake being as late as it was and also the topper falling and breaking. As far as the flavor we figured out it was just a communication error on our part. She was so understanding as to why we were upset. She agreed that someone should have called us and let us know they were going to be late. She went above and beyond by purchasing another topper for us and even gave my husband an apple turnover (which for the record I hate fruit filled anything but this was delicious). I gladly give them their other 3 stars because she was willing to sit down with us and work it out. I just want to say that even tho I had originally given them 2 stars, I had no hard feelings toward any of the girls or her. I know they all work very hard and I was simply stating how I felt. Her girls did amazing work with the cake and all my family loved it. After everything we weren't sure about getting another cake from them but Tiffany asked us if she could make our anniversary cake for us (in the flavor of our choice ). Since this was a late reception our anniversary is next month and I can't wait to see and eat it. There were other problems that happened with our reception that were unrelated to Fizz and it has been really bothering me and this was just another on top of that. We are having our wedding coming up so we met with Tiffany a few weeks back on the cake. She was recommended by a friend. She met us for the cake tasting and was incredibly prepared with many different types of cake and icings/fillings selections. I hope her shop gets finished in the not too distant future and I have a feeling she is going to have a bustling business once the word gets out. Where to begin?? I was turned onto this bakery when I saw all the baked goodies Tiffany would deliver to our office. So I booked her to do the desserts for my baby shower. I sent her some pictures of cupcakes and cake pops I wanted to order and she did a fabulous job. There were so many cake, frosting and filling options to choose from; I was happy she helped me decided on the perfect flavor combos. Everyone at the party raved about how wonderful everything was. While I like Stockton well enough, you just would not expect this kind of quality from here. The first time, but certainly not the last, I visited Fizz Bakery was for my mother's birthday fruit tart. You wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find a decent tasting one. Mostly, you'll find them with the disgusting glaze on top. But Fizz bakes only the best. I ordered lemon bars for a special birthday for a friend who doesn't do cake. Tiffany and Diana went out of their way to make sure I got my order when needed, and had great communication in the process. The lemon bars were perfection! Any other time I've had some that were not homemade, they've had an unpleasant texture- dense and tacky, as if they were more made to hold their shape than to melt in the mouth. These are mouth-melters! Birthday girl said they were "the perfect amount of gooey," and also liked that they weren't super sweet, "like they let the lemon do what it does." The crust held up its flakiness into the next day. Everyone who tried them wanted to know where I got them. This is the best and favorite bakery in the world. They made a Tiffany cake that look like the purse and the flavor omg. I can not say enough there cup cakes and doughnuts and delicious. They sale them individually. She is just starting out so a relatively a small place but I am positive that that will not be long. Great cake, great cookies and goodies. The only reason I give 2 stars is because they make quality baked goods. Do not however order a wedding cake from here. It was very overpriced and small for what I paid for. My wedding cake was $830 including delivery, and the owner said it would be able to feed 200-225 people easily. We only had 175 people at my wedding and my husband and I did not even get a piece of cake. There were very small cut slices, and while the cake was good, there just was not enough especially for what I paid for. It also was leaning, the design was not that great, and I had to buy the flowers that went on top. None of my family was impressed with the size, and I was very ashamed because a family member bought that cake as my wedding present. Keep this in mind. I have to unfortunately update my stellar review, as a returning Customer. I called Fizz Bakery over two weeks ago about creating another cake, this time for my son's bday. I was abruptly told that they could not accommodate as they have an event for that date. I then asked if I could pick it up even 4 days earlier, adjusting to their schedule...as a paying customer. I was told in no uncertain terms that they still could not accommodate. I have to tell you it pretty much sucks that you spend money with a company, tell everyone you know AND yelp to the stars about how wonderful a local business is and when their business takes off, they can no longer accommodate a regular customer. Please if you have that much business that you can afford to turn ppl away and get this type of review - hire more staff, rent a larger space and do whats necessary to keep customers happy. Ordered a minecraft cake on Saturday for a Wednesday event, I love how everyone in the bakery is so attentive to customers entering the bakery, even though everyone was busy decorating a cake etc I heard a hello from all. First time at Fizz I didn't know what to expect. Today we had our event and OMG the design is amazing, perfect for our minecraft themed party, the cake itself is super moist and very delicious, it's heavenly! Definitely the sprinkles to our event! We've been ordering cupcakes and cookies from here for the last year or so and they are AMAZING. They taste great and look great. The customer service is perfect, we've never had even a single problem with any of our orders. We got a "naked cake" with flowers and it was gorgeous! This bakery really hooked us up for a party we had, the dessert table was amazing and we got so many comments on how beautiful the treats were. Also the cupcakes are delicious! There are so many different types and they are all so cute. There is a lot of detail in all of them compared to most other places that just have the cake and frosting. They all have some sort of filling whether it's mousse or jelly or whatever. The tops of them are always so cute and neat as well. The cookies are always super yummy and fluffy. They aren't skimpy on them either! Lots of toppings and it tastes perfect. Again, I just want to say that this place is super good for parties and events as well as just a small treat for yourself. My fave bakery, I am so glad I made a switch from terrible college bakery to this place. The staff is extremely nice and friendly. Every time I go there, they're just so pleasant and friendly to talk to. I like the location, it is not in the busy area. I love everything about this place from location to customer service. Now about the food, it is DELICIOUS, not overly sweetened. Their cakes are amazing, especially the eggless cake. I stop there frequently to get my favorite banana cupcakes. The only con is if you go there towards the end of the day, you won't be able to find much options because they make their food daily and run out pretty quickly.
