He came out the first time to snake the bathroom sink the same day I called. Provided excellent service and gave me some tips on keeping the pipes clean. Fair price and a 30 day warranty, which I've come to learn isn't a common thing among most plumbers when simply snaking the line. Luckily for me fiz is an honest, cool guy and 3 weeks later I had a to call him up and get him to come back out. He was great about it and showed up about 2 hours later and snaked it through the vent on the roof. I had a kitchen sink problem. It got clogged up on the Saturday morning my wife and I had no idea who to call but we knew we had to find someone that's a good & reliable plumber which is so hard to find when you desperately need one. My father-in-law refer me to Frank and I was quick to call him and although he was somewhat busy he made time to come and fix the problem. Within the hour he was already at my house and had unclogged the sink in 30 minutes. A MAN OF HIS WORD!!!!! After contacting many plumbers to come out and tell me what was wrong, none showed up. I called several REPUTABLE plumbers as well and they didn't show up. Saturday evening the water is coming out of the concrete finding any crack it could, I ran away from my problem to drown my sorrow in a cheeseburger at Norms. Walking out (about 10pm) I see a title on a shirt that read "FIZ PLUMBING". Not wanting to interfere in a dinner waited for with his family, Frank took the time to talk to me telling his family and myself "its OK, I want to help". I normally do not write negative Yelp reviews but I felt that this situation merits one. Again, I am not sharing this story for sympathy it is merely to explain the gravity of the situation. Three weeks ago my father-in-law passed away and my wife became incredibly ill and being in the bathtub has been one of the few things that has brought her comfort during this difficult time. Unfortunately, our water heater broke and I found myself searching for a plumber and Fiz Plumbing was well reviewed. I explained to Frank, the owner, my situation that I had been forced to boil water on the stove in order to draw a bath for my wife continuously for days. Frank seemed very concerned and began talking to me about God and how he would pray for my wife. He also said that as soon as the part arrived he would come in and take care of me because "his mission from God was to serve people" or something to that effect. The part arrived on January 20, 2015 and I called Frank and asked if it wasn't too late to get the water heater fixed. Frank seemed hesitant to accept the job on this day. However, he did have the time to give me a mini-sermon about how he found Christ after his own parents passed away when he was in his twenties. He then proceeded to tell about how he hit rock bottom and ended up homeless and turned his life around. He used God and his life story to lead me to believe that he would take care of me. He also found the time to tell me about a television commercial he has coming out in the near future. He also suggested that I should YouTube his inspirational life story "Pipe Dreams" that was filmed by Yelp. When Frank was done pontificating, he then said he would call me later that afternoon. I went to bed and still received no call. Friday morning I decided to call Frank at his listed cell phone number as well as his "special" number twice for a total of four phone calls. The whole time I continued boiling water for my ailing wife. Several hours later I received a jumbled text message with something to the effect that he was at a field trip with his kid and that he would be out by 2 o'clock. Unfortunately, I trusted Frank and waited and did not bother calling another plumber. On Saturday, I called Norwalk-La Mirada Plumbing and had my issue resolved within about 2 hours. Currently, I still have not received a phone call, an explanation, or an apology from Frank. I hope people read this and that Frank reads this and perhaps takes a course in business etiquette. read more

I was happy with his work and felt like I didn't have to think about finding a plumber again because I had my guy. Well, after making two appointments that he never showed up for, it's looking like he's not our guy after all. I had a serious water leakage on Monday and I called Fiz Plumbing a few days later and Frank (owner) came out to assess the situation. It was a pretty big ordeal that had to involve the homeowner's insurance and remediation company to extract the moisture behind the walls and carpets. Anyhow, Frank and I talked a few times and I was ready to hire him for the job if the price was right since their would be some out of pocket expenses and some would be covered by the insurance policy and all I needed was a written proposal bid and not just an estimate from Frank. He told me he would draft it up and send it to me and well its now been 3 days later and not even a simple phone call or email from him or anyone else from his company. I called and left him a message on his voicemail yesterday and still no response as if he just vanished from the face of the earth unexpectedly. I know he told me that he's a 1 man army and its hard to find reliable plumbers to work under him as he may take on way too many projects but as a owner, its important to communicate with your potential clients within a reasonable amount of time, in which he failed to do so. If he couldn't handle the job because he was so tied up elsewhere, I would understand that but its not only professional but its a common courtesy to your potential clients to let them know if you will take on the job or not instead of leaving your potential clients up in the air, especially when the claims adjuster has also been waiting patiently and the dehumidifer is sucking up all electricity bill. read more
