We hired Gary to refit our house with new flooring and a kitchen and bathroom remodel. This is the 2nd time we've allowed Gary and Terry to come in and do stuff for us. The first time, they installed some wood floors and they were great. So we decided they should build us some storage in our laundry room. We showed them a bunch of random stuff we found on pinterest and listened to their recommendations on how to proceed. Good thing too because their ideas were way better than ours. The best part of the entire thing is the paint. If I had to describe Gary's painting skills using only one word, it would be "Warhol". I was referred to Gary, by a friend, after mentioning that we needed some tile work done in our bathroom. Gary did such a great job that I kept thinking of more and more things I wanted him to fix. He's installed wood flooring, built custom utility room shelving and cabinetry (from a design we found online), installed sod in our yard, painted accent walls ( with those pesky rounded corners ) and rooms, and put in a nice recessed electrical outlet for hanging a flat panel on the wall. If you have something that you've been meaning to do yourself or just an idea that you want in your house, Gary is the man. I should add that his colleague Terry is equally as skilled and helped a great deal in a number of the projects above. What I like most about Gary and Terry is you tell them what you're envisioning, they estimate cost and keep you in the loop along the way. They are also very patient with explaining each step (if you're into that). You can tell by the quality of work that Fix It By Design does things the "right" way and to your satisfaction. I would definitely recommend using Gary and his company. I called Gary when another contractor backed out at the last minute when my home was sold and under contract and due to close in a few weeks.. Gary managed to finish the work the day before inspection. His team did it all, paint, sheetrock repair and plumbing. He was able to fabricate the plumbing (shelf in the way of P-Trap) around are new vanity we selected and it's looks great. He went out of his way to match the existing paint when he found the paint formula bought (same brand) did not exactly match.
