I have had amazing experiences every time I've come here! Last year I got in an accident, denting the left side of my car. Fix Auto fixed the dent with no problem in the span of a week and got my car back to me looking brand new! They noticed that my handle on the inside of my car was damaged, although this wasn't from the accident they still offered to fix it (with additional fees). I wish i could give more than 5 stars. Robert at Fix Auto has been incredible in the past 1.5 years. I got into an accident in April of 2017, and Robert handled everything with ease and always made sure my husband and I were informed. My husband then required some work to his bumper and had it replaced, and the paint and time this was finished in was impeccable. Only a month later, my husband got rear ended and needed his bumper replaced again. Robert made sure to get him in before he left town for 3 weeks, and got him his car back to him in time for him to leave. Michael was awesome !!! After being in a hit a run he was really helpful keeping me updated on the progress and he went out of his was to make sure my car was 100%. They didnt notice my gas cap wasn't working until I drove off. Michael called me and let me know he noticed it and that he had order the part because they didnt know if it was part of the accident or not but he was going to take care of it regardless. I took my truck in for minor damages in April and they said I would have it back in 10 days. They took the truck apart and then they said we hope to have the parts by July. They kept saying they couldn't find the parts, but I found the parts myself with one phone call. They were able to fix three trucks with the parts I found. The manager and salesman will tell you whatever they think you want hear, but you can't trust their words. We were leaving on a trip in 11 days and they swore that the truck would be ready but it wasn't, so we had to drive our other truck that cost us twice as much in gas. They knew our time constrained and they still took the truck apart anyway, even though their parts locator couldn't find the parts. They were supposed to use the light that I purchased as my deductible., but instead they made me pay the deductible or I couldn't have my truck. The deductible exchange had been previously ok by State Farm. I would never take another vehicle to Fix Automotive in Poway. read more

Let's face it...no one wants to take their car in for repairs. That being said, if you have to, Fix Auto Poway is the best! I *might* have accidentally sideswiped a concrete pillar trying to back out of a parking spot. Mean ole' pillar took off my passenger side mirror and put a decent-sized dent in the passenger door. I cried some tears, cursed the pillar, then put my big-girl pants back on and called my insurance. Fix Auto Poway was a recommended repair shop, so I called them up. From that moment on, everything was a breeze. I got the estimate, brought it in for repairs and actually had it back earlier than they thought! Everyone I spoke with was amazing. I was rear-ended and took my car to Fix Auto. It's safe to say they helped me make the best out of a bad experience. The communication was wonderful, they did an excellent job repairing my car, and they left it 10x cleaner than it was when I dropped it off (which is saying something because I keep my car clean). Took in our car for body work; one ding by another driver (covered by insurance), and a much smaller ding created by us about six months earlier (to be paid out of our pocket). Due to a miscommunication somewhere, we went to pick up the car and found the smaller ding untouched, even though the car had been in their care for about a week. The manager got involved and WOW! We were only looking for a simple fix ( reattaching part of the bumper that was sticking out ) ... and he did that, AND buffed off the paint from the pole that was bumped, AND cleaned the headlights, too. A quick update, the car was returned to me a week or so ago. During the interim, the vehicle was inspected by one of Fix's electrical sub contractors per Ryan's instruction. They informed me that they were able to fix most of the issues less the iDrive system and the restraint system error. After speaking with my insurance company and Ryan, we decided on allowing the vehicle to be diagnosed by BMW of Escondido. Upon diagnoses, BMW informed me that were some loose connections that were not fitted properly. I received no verification from my insurance company or Fix in regards to who would accept liability but from my conversations with BMW, they expressed a difficulty in attributing anything they worked on as accident related. Upon receiving a call from Ryan, I picked up the vehicle with no further issues. My delay in updating was to ensure no other lights in my cluster popped on or any other further issues presented themselves. In short, I believe Fix did an excellent job with the body work on my vehicle (so far). The astonishing part to me as a customer was how dismissive several employees were when these issues presented themselves within seconds of me starting my vehicle. In my opinion, Fix could have done the extra leg work to ensure these lights were not a liability of theirs prior to me picking up the vehicle initially. The intake form and the release form clearly show differences from when the car was brought in and does not, again in my opinion, imply adequate care or customer service. I would have been more than happy allowing Fix to pursue options while my vehicle was there initially stating something like "We apologize but there were some persisting issues we are performing research on. We will get back to you shortly." In many cases during my experience, I found myself wondering what was going on with my vehicle and thus would have to call. On several occasions, I was advised I would receive a call by end of business yet would not receive a call. I was forced as the customer to perform the due diligence on my vehicle that I believe Fix should have been responsible for while my vehicle was in their possession. I have come to these conclusions due to the ease at which BMW was able to perform the fixes. In defense of Fix, I am unsure if the iDrive system could be attributed to any workmanship they performed. Although, no issues were present prior to the vehicle being worked on. The restraint system warning on the other hand, I was advised was coming from a loose connection of a module in the door where the damage and work had taken place. In my opinion, this is something that Fix may have been able to resolve initially if not for so much initial reluctance. I understand they are running a business and thus there exists pressures that would incentivize cost reduction. In this case, I think those ideologies in cost reduction could have been set aside in order to prioritize customer service and customer satisfaction with the end product especially given the number of return visits I, as a customer, put them through on my initial claim. TL: DR Customer service was sub par initially but changed tones when liability could have been on Fix. Fix does an excellent job as far as body work is concerned but run into issues with more complex vehicle models during extraneous circumstances. One star bump for Ryan and the work he did. read more

I contacted Yelp because this review was not being displayed on their site, which makes me wonder if other reviews are not being displayed. The original-estimated-time frame was 3 days but my car was at Chrome Collision in Poway, CA for 28 days to repaint one door, rear fender, blend with front fender, and both bumpers. I received a call after a week informing me that the car would be delayed because someone forgot to paint reflectors on the front bumper. I received a call a few days later informing me of another delay because they found a run in the paint. I received a call on the third week informing me that they found a blemish on the door that needed to be corrected. I completely understood the delays and told the estimator to take as long as he needed to correct the issues. I was supposed to pick up the car on day 24 but I told them that I would pick it up the following day which would give them an extra day to clean the car. (I did not want it detailed but I wanted it as clean as it was when it arrived). I arrived on the 25th day to pick up the car and noticed a run on the front bumper and possibly overspray on the rear bumper. They offered to repair the bumper, remove the overspray, and pay for a rental car the following week. I also noticed thick dust on the entire interior of the car, feet prints on the speaker in the driver's door, smudges on the inner-door panel, and abrasions on the new paint that appeared to be from an edge of a buffer, and two places where paint lifted (peeled) on the fender. I took the car back the following week and Chrome paid for the rental car but I paid $35 for auto insurance. I picked up the car 3 days later which was a total of 28 days. They fixed the abrasion on the door, run on the bumper, lifted paint in two spots, and removed the roughness or overspray from the bumper and mirrors. I was informed that the lifted paint was repaired by repainting the fender but the marker light that is 6-8 inches from the repair fell out because it was melted. I know that the light was melted at Chrome because I installed it 2 days prior to delivering the car. I bought a new light online for $23.97. Some of the staff were exceptional and I feel like others were not truthful (It's my opinion). I appreciate the estimator having the shop repaint / paint parts but I wish they would have implemented a different process, so I would not have waited 28 days to have a finished product. The paint looks good and they are willing to correct their mistakes but I will not recommend Chrome Collision because of the condition I received my car on day 25 especially since they had an extra day look over the car. Unfortunately the estimator was not there on day 25 when I picked up the car the first time because I might have gotten the car in better condition or it might have been held until it met his standards. Updated: I noticed a gap where the bumper attaches to the inner fender. So I touched it and a screw fell out. The paint on the door, rear fender, and rear bumper look good but there is a rough edge on the front bumper. Updated: I continue to find more surprises as I do maintenance on my car. I paid Chrome Collision to remove, repair, and paint the bumper, and there are staples and un-sanded welds or epoxy on the bottom of the bumper. The manager assured me that the bumper was removed after I mentioned seeing silver paint on black mesh behind the bumper. Therefore, I'm not sure why the staples were not installed / hidden on the inside of the bumper while it was off the car. Please see the image. Updated: The paint on the front fender lifted again after three months. Updated: I contacted the Bureau of Automotive Repair who worked with the owner of Chrome Collision (now Fix Auto Poway) who apologized and resolved the issues. read more

The neighbor backed his car into my parked car, baseball sized dent in the rear bumper as a result. Neighbor gave us all his insurance information through USAA. USAA sent us here to have the bumper repaired here. This was all great! Fixed in a reasonable time and looked great. Unfortunately, several months later the rear bumper developed a gap between the rear quarter panel and the rear. Some retaining tabs had broken causing the bumper to popout from the panel, causing a visible gap. I took it back have them look at it. They indicated (paraphrasing here), "There's no way this happened without an impact, it's not covered by our warranty" while a few feet back from the rear of the car... their only claim as to evidence of this is a cosmetic bumper scratch, which came after the bumper/panel started separating. On pressing, the rep agreed to take it back and have the tech look at it. They indicated they find a plastic retaining piece (paraphrasing again) "Just hanging there" and cited that as further evidence of an impact. Was the retainer replaced on install? Was it damaged during the original incident? Was it installed correctly? Might the failure in the install/part cause undue stress on other mounting points that caused the plastic tabs to fail over time? None of this was elaborated on, "It's impact damage, we won't cover it." It seems odd that the area where the quarter panel and bumper started to separate is EXACTLY where the accident impacted. Nonetheless, the rep made the determination that it WAS in fact impact BEFORE the tech looked at it. I'm now having to go back to USAA to get them to fix the problem. I'll either reach a satisfactory solution through this avenue or it'll be to small claims. Bottom line. Their warranty is worthless.They look for excuses to deny a claim on parts/workmanship without putting the due in diligence first. read more

On recommendation by an insurance company, I selected CHROME Collision to review the rear-end damage on my vehicle. The company representative did a sight inspection and then the general manager took over and showed me part of the internal damage. I told the GM that I would like a second inspection. The GM said that there was substantial damage to the rear and the latch of the hatchback would not latch and that he should declare my vehicle was considered damaged and that he could declare it not drivable. This tactic is not acceptable. I had my doubts selecting CHROME because I was not fond of the scare tactics used by the GM, but I decided to go with CHROME since I was headed out of town and was told that it would take 7 days. After I signed the papers, the GM said that an auto detailing would be added to my car as a courtesy service for choosing CHROME. After 10 days without a call, I called CHROME to check on the status of my vehicle. The GM told me that there were a few more items that CHROME was waiting on but the car would be ready by Friday. On late Friday, the GM returned my call at 5:15 p.m. and told me that my car was ready, they lost an employee so the detailing had not been done, but that I could pick up my car without the detailing. I looked up the hours for Enterprise and they close at 6:00 p.m. I did not have time to drop off the rental car and drive to CHROME. I called the GM and told him that I really wanted my car but he promised me the auto detailing. He was rude and said that the detailing costs $250 and he did promise it but it would not be done until Monday. He made it sound like he was doing me a favor and kept saying that he was down an employee. I was upset and told him to keep my car and that I did not want to hear any more excuses as to why my car was not finished. Again, the GM told me I could take my car back now. I told him that this was a blatant disregard of what he promised and that I felt he no longer wanted to give me the service that he offered which I think is bad customer service. On Monday, I was given my car as promised, but after bringing it home had discovered a hazard light came on. I called CHROME, and the GM said that I could bring the car back but that the light was not there when I picked up the car. I've been told before to pull over and stop driving the car with the hazard light on so I told him that when I dropped off the car in the beginning and the hazard was not on, but on the very same day that I pick up the car the light comes on so it has to do with the collision. The GM tried to make another excuse, but I was adamant that I would not be driving my car to CHROME. He finally agreed that he would pick up my car and have another rental delivered within 30 minutes. An hour and a half later the GM shows up and proceeds to show me that my car was driveable by doing a circle around my cul-de-sac. I again told the GM that I have been told previously to stop driving and pull over when the triangle with an exclamation hazard light comes on. The GM then got out of the car to show me a printed photo of the dash that was taken during the service. All I wanted was for the GM was to take my car and say that he would check on the problem. Instead he decides to make sure that I felt uncomfortable because I called him about a problem that was not there prior to me taking my car the CHROME. The following day, the GM calls to tell me that the fan for the battery wasn't working. Which, I believe, was caused by the collision. He would need to keep it for another couple of days. I told him that I don't want to hear any more excuses, I just want my car fixed. He then proceed to yell at me and tell me that he didn't want to hear me complain about him making excuse and I wasn't to tell him that anymore. At this point all communication broke down and I told him just to fix my car. Moments later, I called CHROME and told the receptionist that I no longer felt comfortable working with the GM and wanted to speak to the owner. I received a call from the owner who took over from that point. The only saving graces and the only reasons why CHROME Collision was given two starts were the people who worked with me prior to the GM taking over and the owner who managed to salvage a poor situation. I have never been treated so poorly by a general manager of an auto body shop. I signed over nearly $8000 and was maltreated and given excuse after excuse. read more

I picked this place because it was convenient, near my house and the website looked perfect for my situation.. I took my daughter's car there for insurance purposes to get a quote. I have mixed feelings about this place I'm not saying I wouldn't go here again but I will say they have an amazing facility, and a very clean and open lobby, that is very comfortable. They offer coffee and water and things like that with TV's so you don't get bored. The nice gentleman that helped me 1st for the estimate and photos, told me I would have an estimate within 24 hours...after calling several times over the weeks, I learned they lost my estimate... but no one told me about it. I had to bring it in again and another nice gentleman was very professional as well and he noticed I had a side-swipe on my car that was previous damage... He offered to drive it to the back and take care of that for me aside from giving me a quote! I was amazed and when he came back with the car it looked like it was never there, so I know they do great work. That was superb customer service. The reason they lost a star was not because it took so long for my estimate but because things happen...it is the front desk ladies which I talked to at different times. Lets just say I am a very big with customer service. I'm not sure if it is a family business which can explain that, and they are young girls... I just felt i was bothering them, or was not important at all. No personality, or friendly welcoming. Hope they can change that. Ahhh How short lived was todays happiness , I went to recover my vehicle , everything looked great I was happy with the outcome of the body and paint yet once I got closer too home Unfortunately my car began to say it was low on coolant , and overheating . Limp mode all the way too oreilys. Hopefully no permanent engine damage . I open my hood to see the engine has coolant splattered around . And as I try to add coolant after letting the engine bay cool off too my surprise the coolant goes into the reservoir and completely seeps out towards the bottom possibly near the radiator or one of its hoses . I can't believe I've waited over a month to get stucc in the side of the road and have to limp mode too a auto care store... Im saddened by the work it seems that fix auto takes pride in and that GEICO thinks so highly of. ( update) they came pretty swiftly and seemed pretty bummed at the fact they the work wasn't up to par . I appreciate the workers and all the technicians efforts I feel as though Mike may be the only " bad apple" in the bunch he made my experience very un like-able up until I was transferred over too Marc who is and was very helpful ) read more

They inspected the car and reviewed what repairs were needed. All repairs done were explained in detail to me before I left. The facility is large nice, clean and no loud noises from the shop. I chose this shop because they did some work on my car a few years ago when I was in an accident and they did great work. More recently, I had quite a bit of wear and tear and on the front bumper of my Toyota Camry sport. The bumper was falling off and the underneath was dragging.
