I came to this place to replace my windshield since it was in the network for my insurance. 2 times there's was something wrong with the windshield. 3rd time was the charm to drop off our car to replace the windshield. Our appt was at 3pm and They told me that we would get a call in 2 hrs but I realized it was 5pm and no one had called me so I went to the shop and it was closed. I called and there was no answer. No one was there. After I went home the technician called me to tell me my car was ready. There was such lack of communication. The technician was very nice and it wasn't his fault . He agreed that appts shouldn't be at 3pm because customers always get confused and think they're closed when he was actually recalibrating my car. I don't recommend this place. read more

The windshield on my wife's car recently had a small chip turn into a giant crack. Knowing that it wasn't repairable, I took to looking for an alternative solution to replace it. I checked with 3 or 4 different places between poway and Escondido and while they all got back to me quickly with quotes, Auto Glass Now in Poway was the closest and the least expensive. I forwarded the quote to her so she could call them and make an appointment that worked with her schedule and she was able to lock something in a couple days later. While there she said she was treated very kindly and that they even gave her an additional discount on her windshield replacement. They reviewed the pricing with her multiple times to make sure everything was understood and they began working on her vehicle. She was told it would take about an hour, but in the end it took less time than what was quoted. I can truly appreciate when businesses underpromise and over deliver like they did with the turnaround. This was a fantastic experience all around from start to finish and I'm really happy that I got a quote from them and that we gave them our business. Had great service once again from All Star Glass in Poway. The right rear quarter window on our 2006 Chrysler minivan was broken and needed to be replaced. After checking part availability with the dealer they recommended sourcing the glass through a salvage yard since Chrysler has discontinued the glass we needed. I was referred to ASG from another company due to my "double impact" chip that was about quarter size. I visited the Poway location hoping to get repairs, but their staff was out on calls. Instead of returning for an appointment, I was offered a residential visit since I'm the primary caregiver for my folks. I was also informed my insurance would be billed which was a surprise, since the same company said I'd need to reach my deductible limit BEFORE I'd get coverage. The service was provided within the "window" I expected. The nature of the repair was explained and quickly and professionally handled. I knew in advance that chips are subject to spread and destroy windshields. But in that event, the cost of the repair would be applied to new glass. read more

Ok so I waited for my boss to get off one night. NO not to stalk her but she was just nervous and didn't want to be alone. So we left and man does she drive like a bat outa-hell! She went on her way and I on mine. I was driving a long when BOOM hit my window. I thought someone shot at my car and YES I almost (I said almost) wet my fricken pants! There was a huge truck infront of me and I couldn't catch him to get any numbers. He didn't have a cover and the rock flew out of the back. I had to do something so I asked around and everyone kept suggesting All Star. I called them and they came to my condo. Fixed it like that and now i have a gorgeous view! We had a stress crack in our new windshield and not only did they replace the windshield with no problem, they went above and beyond with their customer service. My leased car was due back in less than 10 days when a damn pebble hit my windshield. Marcy told me the cost and explained the steps needed to to work thru my insurance. Within 15 minutes my claim was processed; my insurance confirmed the same thing Marcy had previously explained to me, that would be required based on my model (sensory calibration, no aftermarket option available, etc.) Marcy received the claim and placed the dealership order within 2 hours of my initial call to her. We had used this company before and had good service decided to go back for another windshield replacement, this time the experience was subpar and we will never be using this company again. I submitted my claim to the insurance company on Sunday, I call on Tuesday to schedule an appointment for mobile repair and was told I would receive a phone call to schedule an appointment. Later that day I received an email containing the invoice with a note stating to call the customer to schedule an appointment. I called the following day because I had never received the phone call, again I was told they would send a message to call me and schedule. Today July 15th 2022 I called again since I still had heard nothing about scheduling an appointment and I was told the shop is not answering their phone and I could schedule to take it into the repair shop vice having mobile repair. read more

Someone broke into my car recently, and in doing so, they smashed one of the windows in my car. Fortunately, my insurance covered the damage, and they let me know they'd have All Star give me a call to arrange an appointment. About a half hour later, I got a call from All Star and they found me an appointment for that afternoon. I was given the standard time frame of 1 -5, but Juan, their installer showed up right at 1. Juan was very professional and polite, and after surveying the damage, gave me a few options and supplied great advice. I was worried about the quality of the material they would have, but it was to factory specs. He spent a lot of time making sure all the broken glass was cleaned up and was done in about 45 minutes. Yes, it's been that long, about 20 years, since this company went to ONLY auto glass. This makes them NOT All and not a Star. Sloppy technician! I have a small leak on drivers side. Went to Poway location yesterday. To locate the leak the tech did an "air test" This consisted of taking an air gun & blowing all along the inside of the windshield to see where the leak was coming from..(later that day, I realized with that f***ing air gun, he scratched all along the inside of my damn window..) He ended up removing the weather shield on the outside of the windshield to add glue or adhesive or whatever.. I called to complain that he did not fasten it down all the way.. Next day..car wash..leak is MUCH BIGGER! I'll be demanding that $70 rip! Just made it worse! Don't go here..go to safe lite. read more

Carlos, the installer, was personable and did a good job communicating the repair and potential issues that may come up. Despite having to schedule a five hour window, he called me when he was 15 minutes away which I appreciated. He was very customer oriented and made sure that all my questions were answered. Five stars for him. I had four contacts over the phone with Marcie and Margaret, one before the repair and three after. All four contacts deserve zero stars. The posture taken is accusatory and defensive - when questions are asked, they are answered in a way that shuts down the conversation, like they assumed that I was calling with a complaint instead of just trying to get information. It is clear that they see their customer as the insurance company, not as the car owner. Every time I called, I was placed on a minimum of a five minute hold. Every phone conversation started with them letting me know the call was being recorded, so I hope someone actually listens to the calls and is taking action. Me trying to get a simple question answered was turned into a negative service experience. I would not use All Star Glass again unless I could bypass their administrative "process". I ended up taking my car to the dealer to have the windshield inspected and to get my question answered. read more

Had a very small chip in my windshield repaired here. Now the chip has reappeared because the resin they used to fill it has come out. I called to see if they could fix it, but apparently they do not warranty their work on chips. I have had other chip repairs elsewhere that have never been a problem. Their receipt reads that they do not warranty the chip repairs against glass breakage--fine. But the glass didn't break, the resin fell out. Why would someone want to get their window repaired here if the company wont take ten minutes to fix something that they did, and that should have lasted for a long time? read more

Deceptive and irresponsible work. Technician broke the brackets off the side mounts to my windshield and instead of being responsible he opted to glue them down hiding his mistake. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received at All Star Glass. The receptionist told me "sometimes with your kind of car you just have to deal with it". Ever since I got a brand new windshield installed there has been a terrible noise coming from my window. It sometimes clicks and rattles and sometimes it howls and sounds as though I am in a wind tunnel. I have already taken it back; they say they can't hear anything and that there is no way there is an issue because the man who installed it took his time. Every day I deal with this unbearable noise, and even though I am still paying off my pretty car, I feel hopeless and annoyed. The windshield itself was fine. However, the rear view mirror was not installed properly - they left almost 0.3" between the "foot peice" of the rear view mirror and the windshield. Because of this, the rear view mirror itself could not be moved into a straight position to see out the back of the car. We called them, they came out and not only stated that they installed it "to spec" and there was nothing they could do, they told us to go to Mercedes dealership and find a vehicle that's the same year (SUV is 6 years old mind you) and see if the install is any different. We just went to the dealer to have them fix it (at our own cost) - MB stated that it was in fact not installed properly - they fixed it in about 10 minutes and since we've been loyal MB customers for the last 16 years, there was no charge. read more
