Job was a simple bumper and fender replacement with…read morepaint and no underlying structural damage. 1st attempt- bumps in paint and misaligned body panels. 2nd attempt- again, bumps in paint and headlights not aligned correctly. Also, new damage to new bumper caused by shop. I was initially told that the misaligned panels were "within tolerance". Was supposed to meet management but they could not make appointment due to flat tire. Told that they would call. No call. Final attempt, this is three weeks worth of work by the way, acceptable fit and found a couple of paint bumps under the bumper but because it's out of sight and I'm fed up with shop, accepted work. Told them that the manager never called, they said they would reach out to them to make sure they called. 10 days later and still no call. Nothing. The job was basic work requiring simple paint of new panels and alignment. The fact that they had three tries at the paint and they still could not get it right means that they don't care and their staff is poorly trained with non existent quality control. Extremely disappointing. Go elsewhere for any work.

As anybody with a brand new car knows, that first scratch is really frustrating, especially when it is a huge one down to the bare metal. I brought the car in based on some reviews of some buddies at work and they looked at it immediately. Brett then gave me 2 options on how to tackle the issue, one being the "proper" insurance way where the whole door gets repainted and blended which was priced like a proper body repair- this is where most places would stop and give you no choice. He also gave the option to do a touch-up with a wet sand and and buff which was substantially cheaper, so cheap in fact that I decided to try it first and if it didn't meet my standards I wouldn't really feel like I lost out while doing the full door paint and blend. Well anyway I dropped the car off the next day in the morning and by lunchtime it was already done. Not only was the repair incredibly done, the whole car was cleaner than when I bought it new! This was actually several months ago and the repair is still as good as the day it was done. So the place isn't just great because they do good work, it's good because they don't just try and gouge you and actually give you options.

Phil was extremely kind at first, when we had work done there. But when it came to a mistake that was made, Phil could not get his head around the fact that they could have possibly made one. I was met with hostility and another bill from a different mechanic to fix the issue. I'm actually in shock when we called him and he told me to come down to his shop to "talk man to man", the guy seemed to be a stand up, honest mechanic and we were initially extremely happy with his work. The cost of everything when they fixed our vehicle was $6,000 back in June. The mistake was $800. Not a stand up guy. Not honest. Would not recommend.

The Chevy dealership told me the entire antenna and base would have to be replaced, because it wasn't possible to get the sheared-off antenna out of the base. They quoted me a price of $425. I decided not to even ask the Chevy dealer for an estimate on the dent repair. Valley Auto Body quoted me a "worst case" estimate of $784 to fix the antenna and repair the dents. He said he would try first to get the antenna out to avoid having to replace the entire base. He also said they may be able to do a paintless repair on the dents and save me some more money. I thought, "yeah, right". But I thought the $784 sounded reasonable for all the parts, labor and paint. I dropped off the car and expected to get it back in 3 days. I was really surprised when Gary called late that afternoon to tell me my car was ready. And I was SHOCKED when he told me the bill was only $307!!!!!!! He was able to get the antenna out (so why couldn't the dealership?) and they were able to repair the dents without having to paint. AMAZING!!!! I am so impressed with the quality of service and their honesty and integrity. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Valley Auto Body. So pleased with my experience with them!!

I had a very disappointing experience with Caliber Collision in Algonquin, and I would not…read morerecommend them based on how poorly my estimate request was handled. I scheduled an appointment for Friday, April 17, around lunchtime, to have two separate impact areas on my vehicle examined. When I made the appointment, I specifically explained that I needed two separate quotes: one quote for each impact area, plus a combined total if there would be any discount for doing both repairs together. I arrived on time and met with Nik Pigounakis, who inspected the car. To be fair, he was friendly, but he also seemed like he was in a major rush. He took photos and told me the quotes would be emailed to me. Then nothing. I waited all weekend and still had not received anything. On Monday near the end of the day, I emailed him to follow up. He said he had sent the quote Friday at the end of the day. I told him I had not received it and gave him an alternate email address. Moments later, I received the quote in both email accounts, which makes the original "I sent it Friday" explanation questionable at best. Even worse, the quote was wrong. It was a single combined quote, not the two separate quotes I had clearly requested when scheduling the appointment. I immediately pointed this out, and he said he would fix it and resend the corrected quotes. Twenty-four hours later, I still had nothing. I followed up again, this time expressing my frustration and asking why such a simple request was being handled so incompetently. I also told him I intended to write a review about the experience. At that point, he simply stopped responding. So after taking time out of my day, showing up on time, clearly explaining what I needed, following up multiple times, and giving them a chance to correct the issue, I was left with no usable estimate and no response. The lack of follow-through was bad enough. The ghosting after they failed to provide what was requested made it worse. Friendly service at the beginning does not mean much if the follow-through is this careless. Based on this experience, Caliber Collision in Algonquin came across as rushed, disorganized, and unprofessional. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
