If you know cars, avoid Matt's Motor Works. I booked him for walnut blasting, confirmed days in…read moreadvance, and only at the last minute did he tell me he was a mobile mechanic. Walnut blasting isn't something you do mobile --nor is it recommended for outdoor use near homes or neighbors due to the difficulty of containing the airborne dust and debris. He showed up unprepared, hoping I'd settle for a chemical intake cleaner instead. He burned 30+ minutes talking about car trivia, pulled a spark plug with the battery still connected and the engine hot (a rookie mistake that risks real damage), and then tried running an OBD2 scan with a dead reader. None of this addressed the service I asked for--only to buy time, which he then charged me $65 for, based on what he thought was right. Transparency wasn't there from start to finish. In the end, I rearranged my schedule, got no real work done, and paid for wasted time. From preparation to honesty to execution--everything fell short. To make matters worse, my trusted mechanic later confirmed the spark plug threads were stripped from his work.

would strongly caution anyone considering this business...They were very friendly over the phone…read moreand initially seemed helpful in person, but the experience quickly went downhill. The "diagnosis" amounted to briefly checking and SMELLING the gas cap, yet we were charged $150 for that alone. Afterward, we were told we owed an additional $75 that had not been clearly discussed upfront. When we questioned the extra charge, we were told the balance could be sent to collections, which felt unnecessarily aggressive given the situation. The biggest issue was the lack of transparency around pricing and what services were actually being performed. If you do choose to work with them, I highly recommend getting a detailed quote in writing before agreeing to anything. Overall, this was a frustrating experience that left us feeling taken advantage of during an already stressful time. So disappointing. EDIT: Sent threats and called me names after leaving this review... Screenshots attached. Saw his reply To this post, we sent $75 before you came and $75 after you showed up. That would be $150. Then, sent you the other $75 today after you decided to cuss out my boyfriend and threatened him multiple times. Not sure where the hostility towards us came from, but I do hope this review helps others save their time, energy and money from dealing with someone like yourself.

We are furious with the service here. The lack of communication is just disrespectful. They will over charge you and use crappy parts. Disconnected the PCV valve which caused the car not to be able to even run. Make claims about other shops being really bad and dishonest. I've been a customer here for almost a decade, but I am FIRMLY committed to no longer doing business with anywhere that charges this 3% fee instead of simply including it in their prices. Also, the 3% surcharge is not mentioned anywhere on the written estimate I was given, and wasn't point out until after the work was done and I was about to pay. Then, after I indicated that I wasn't happy, I was told by the guys working the desk that EVERY shop in the area is doing this. I have been a loyal customer for 8 years, i had a family member who was a mechanic for years and just recently moved away, and he would always use Cassidy and always recommend the place for me for tire issues. I got a new car about a year ago so it had been some time since I've been to the shop. i took it in last week for a simple tire rotation and balance something that would have costed me just under $100 has turned into a literally nightmare and costing me hundreds. Cassidy tires stripped my lugnut and claimed to me that the car came in that way, well that doesn't make any sense considering we were able to take the tire off by hand the night before and now the next day it's stripped and can't come off? Weird. Took it to another shop which confirmed with us that it seems like Cassidy put the impact gun on too aggressively and it stripped the lugnut... now i wouldn't have an issue if Cassidy would take responsibility for the issue but they refuse to, they want to charge us $175 an hour to fix a lugnut that they messed up... i am really not one to bash a place or leave a negative review but Cassidy tire has made my entire week and last week a living hell considering i had to get a rental car now because im in an out of town wedding this weekend. my car will need well over a hundreds of dollars in repairs to fix Cassidy's mistake, when they easily could have let me know they stripped it and taken responsibility. If you take your car here, enter at your own risk and just know that if they make a mistake they will not fix it. I also wanted to say that this shop is under new management and it's no good. I know for a fact if it was the same old store manager that I've always dealt he would have made it right and fixed the mistake that day. I'm extremely frustrated, upset and stressed from this large financial burden all caused from Cassidy tire.
