I am so glad I found this repair shop!! I have an older vehicle that needed all brake lines replaced as it was rusting to the point where it finally broke. I was also looking at replacing my rocker panels since those were rusted out too. I called several different shops and got several different prices along with different opinions on how much work is involved. When I spoke to Bill he gave me a rough estimate over the phone but explained that I needed to bring it in so he could see the amount of rust and give me a written estimate. I didn't realize they do everything at this shop, not just body work which is great, I didn't have to take my vehicle to 2 different places. So I brought my truck on a weekend to get the estimate and he was honest about the amount of work I needed done and his price was fair. With all the work involved, he only had my truck for a week which I thought it was going to be longer. I couldn't get to the shop before they closed to pick it up but Bill accommodated me by staying late which was very nice. It was also great that he told me if I needed a car wash in the next 90 days to call him and they would hand wash it since the new paint can't have the wax from the car wash on it. What a nice perk!! He also explained why the underbody of my truck was rusting so bad and how to keep it cleaner so it doesn't get any worse. He also applied an underbody coating to protect what is left! I will eventually bring in our new vehicle to get the underbody coating applied so it doesn't rust like my truck did. Since then, I've brought my truck back for a water pump, an alternator and a new used hood since mine had a rust hole thru it. Again, Bill was great about explaining everything and how much time it would take along with giving me a really good price. He treats my vehicle likes it's his own and I appreciate that. I've brought my truck in a few other times for small issues like the blinker was going crazy and water came in my back door when I went thru the car wash dryers. Bill had his guys take a look and since it was a quick fix I was able to wait while it was being worked on. He also didn't charge me for these small issues, which I thought was very nice and unexpected. I highly recommend this shop for all your auto repair needs. Bill is an honest, down to earth guy that really takes care of your vehicle. When anyone asks if I know a good repair shop in our area, I always recommend Cary Auto Body. read more

I took my 2007 Pontiac solstice here to get the door fixed after someone tried to break into my car. The handle was broken and the door dented and scratched. During the estimate, he didn't see the scratch so the estimate was wrong. State Farm found the scratch thankfully so it was added to be fixed. It was $800 to get the door repainted and the door handle fixed. I came to pick it up and there was rubbing compound all over the edge of the door and then peeling of the clear coat on the edges as well. He agreed to take it back and fix it and then I came a second time to pick it up and there was STILL peeling. He then proceeded to tell me it was my fault and it was because of something on the car prior, when there was ZERO peeling EVER on the car because I only hand wash it so I know every inch of that car. And he continued to tell me it would be $5k to fix since the whole car would have to be clear coated and the door would have to be completely repainted. He refused to fix it and stuck to his story that it was my fault. I think he thought I was a dumb girl who would just believe it and go away. Unfortunately since it wasn't a State Farm certified place (I know why they aren't now, it's for a good reason), there was nothing I could do. I did proceed to contact the owner (Jim Olson) and he agreed to fix it up at their location in Harvard. Jim Olson even said, "there should be no peeling at all after a paint job." However, he gave me back the car with PEELING and said "there's nothing else I can do" when I confronted them about it and he wouldn't even look at it or talk to me about it. If an auto body shop cannot paint a car without causing peeling and/or fix prior peeling, then they should not be an auto body shop. This place is a total scam and they do not have a moral compass so stay away! They used to do great work and my family has spent a ton of money in the past here and now they are total con artists. If they are willing to do this to long term and loyal customers, who have spent probably close to $25k between all the business we've given them, then they will do it to anyone! I paid $800 for them to make my car peel, I would rather have the broken door handle!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR MONEY WASTED, YOUR CAR LEFT PEELING, TO BE LIED TO AND BLAMED FOR THEIR MISTAKES. read more

TERRIBLE COMPANY! They scam you. I had some work done there, took it to another auto shop and the new mechanic said they purposely messed with my wires so that it would break very soon. He also said the work they claimed to do, was not done. They charged me for like 5 things they did not do! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! The owner is rude, demeaning and threatens you. Billy, who runs the Cary shop, is just as rude and has a HUGE temper problem. He yells and screams at customers. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

I have been using these guys for 5-8 yrs, and have brought in numerous cars. I called Bill Olson because my bumper on my Suburban was damaged, I went in for an estimate which was $1227 for a new bumper. I called back and said can you fix it or repair it. He said sure for approx. $200. I bring my Suburban in to get the work done. When I got the bill I was amazed that it was $668. He said the $200 was only for the repair not all of the work & labor. He never mentioned any other prices except for $200. Whether he out right lied to me or forgot to mention it the other costs I do not know. It was my mistake that I did not get it in writing first, but I trusted Bill since I had done work with him before. I will never use this company again. If you elect to still use Bill Olson make sure everything is in writing, so he cannot misinform you over the phone. read more

Brought in a motorcycle seat that needed to be matched to the 45 year old original paint. This is one of those jobs where I was afraid I would be told it is not worth our time, but they gave me a good price and great match on the color and they did the side covers as well and fixed the stripes. Got a few more project motorcycles that will need paint and I am glad to know I do not have far to go. read more
