It's been a while since I needed. Repair. My precious car. Was a Honda civic . Went to Mastertek. Upon a referral from a friend . Had them. Checked it out. And thanked them. An as about to leave. The owner said. He wanted to test drive my car. I thought There may have been additional problem. And he didn't want me leaving. Because because he didn't feel the car ws safe to drive . Mind you this was maybe 2014 or 2015. So don't. Remember what jt was. But. After test driving the car. With my barter. Account he repaired. And cost me nothing. The thing is he could have just let me leave. I still Remember that tidy as I went for a few mini repairs. Wiper. Oil change a. Tail light. I checked. Prices. On Amazon. The tail light bulb was sold but as part of the entire lamp fixture $150. Plus install. They'd guys said. Naw. Can fix just the bulb. A few bucks. They provide a photo. Email with repair that should be done. And will go back to have them fix them shop local. Save. Small biz read more

Do not go there. It will cost you a fortune to fix anything at that place. I just got a quote for radiator replacement -$1000. I looked up radiator part cost on Google which ranges between $88-$120. The gentleman at the front desk said it's 3-3.5 hrs of labor which comes up to over $250 per hour for labor. Sick. read more

Trustworthy is an understatement. As a woman, I have had many experiences of being overcharged and taken advantage of in an auto shop. I've never felt more respected than when I was at Dave's. Everyone was so friendly and willing to explain the process to me ( who has no knowledge of anything cars). I didn't once feel I was being up sold or look at as an "easy target". These guys took great care of me and did a phenomenal job fixing my brakes and getting a new battery for my car. They kept me super informed during the whole process with an exact pricing break down. So, I took my van in after it started acting funny and the steering wheel was hard to turn and the transmission was struggling to shift. They said I needed new cooling lines to my transmission. They also added that my serpentine belt fell off so they put that back on, they stated that they didn't know why it fell off. $300 dollars later I took the car home and 2 days later, the belt came off again. So we towed it back up there so they could look at it again. They then called and said I had major leaks (oil and power steering fluid) they tell me $700 to fix those and that it has other things wrong with it. I tell them not to fix it because I can't afford it. And when I get there they charge me $25 for looking at it. So, now you know the story and here is my problem. They NEVER told me I had any leaks until after I shelled out $300 for the first repair. They KNEW that it wasn't going to fix my problems because I had a leak SPRAYING out everytime I turned my wheel. There is ABSOLUTELY NO way they didn't see those leaks which existed when they had the car the first time. They fixed the one problem that would make the car drive for a short time and then when it died (which i firmly believe they knew it would quickly) they only then told me i had so many other issues. They told me on the second trip that the belt was falling off because of the leaks. If the belt fell off on the first trip as well, then wouldnt you think it was leaking then too? If i bring my car to you to look at, then i would think looking for leaks is one of the first things you do, right? Then to charge me $25 to look at my car the second time when it should have been looked at the first time I brought it in, was insulting. This is the second time they have done something like this in the 18 months I have used them. They are close by and seem very nice, however, I believe I was taken advantage of on 2 occasion because I'm a bit timid and I'm a woman. I would highly recommend that you do not go here. I know they have good reviews, i just think they caused me to pay out 300 bucks for a repair when they knew the car needed so much more. Either it's dishonest or someone didn't do their job when looking at my car and missed 2 oil leaks, a SPRAYING power steering leak, and numerous other things they told me were wrong on the second visit. I did end up taking the car to get fixed somewhere else. Mastertek quoted my 700 more to fix some of the leaks and I got it done for just shy of 500. BUYER BEWARE!! read more

I highly recommend this shop. The dealer told me I needed the front sway bar links replaced and gave me a quote of $500. Of course, I started looking elsewhere to get another quote. My daughter had used Mastertek for years before she moved and highly recommended it, so I called. The quote was for $300 less than the dealer, so I took my car there. The service was excellent. My wife's car needed brakes, new serpentine belt and oil change and I thought I'd give Mastertek a try. Dave the owner and John the mechanic met me as I dropped off the car and gave me a price and time estimate. A couple hours later the car was ready. When I came in to pick it up Dave was about to take it for a test drive. How cool that the owner checks the quality of the work himself. Although the place isn't in the most business friendly area and doesn't have the nicest waiting room, they make sure to bring a high level of car service to every customer. Stay away!!!! How would you feel to pay for the same repair twice? I trusted the good reviews and took my car for a major repair (close to $1000). They said that their work was backed up by a nationwide warranty and I had nothing to worry if something happens. They installed a bad (refurbished) alternator as part of the repair. Just within less than 2 months after the repair, the alternator quit working one fine day in the middle of the highway as I was driving in another state and my car was not drive-able anymore. When I called these guys, they brushed me off and directed me to talk to the warranty company directly which I did. The warranty company tried to hook me up with some local shops in the area and NONE of the shops was able to accommodate me for the repair, in fact I was asked for wait for atleast 2-3 days before they could even evaluate my car. What good is this kind of warranty? The warranty company finally agreed to pay only a certain part of the repair if I chose to find a shop on my own and get it fixed. With no other option left and to prevent myself from getting stranded in another state for days, I had to pay for the majority of repair out of pocket, TWICE! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! If I could leave zero stars for this shop I would. I brought my car in because the gas cap light and check engine light was one. They never called me to give me the diagnosis of the car or to ask me how I wanted to proceed. They just did what they felt was necessary to the car and then charged me $500 for it. A day later the lights came back on and I took the car back to them. The owner, Dave told me that he didn't have time to fix it that day but that he would look at it the next day. A WEEK later, they still had the car and hadn't had the time to look at it. I told Dave I needed the car back to get around and Dave told me that there was nothing really wrong with the car and that I could take it, the lights would just continue to stay on. Well obviously there WAS something wrong with the car because now it doesn't run. I will never suggest anyone to take their car there. They are not thorough, they do not communicate with you, and they do not resolve the issues with the car but charge you an arm and a leg with no real explanation of what the charges were for. And they have no guarantee of their work and no pride in it. They are not honest. read more
