I had a very disappointing experience with Caliber Collision in Algonquin, and I would not recommend them based on how poorly my estimate request was handled. I scheduled an appointment for Friday, April 17, around lunchtime, to have two separate impact areas on my vehicle examined. When I made the appointment, I specifically explained that I needed two separate quotes: one quote for each impact area, plus a combined total if there would be any discount for doing both repairs together. I arrived on time and met with Nik Pigounakis, who inspected the car. To be fair, he was friendly, but he also seemed like he was in a major rush. He took photos and told me the quotes would be emailed to me. Then nothing. I waited all weekend and still had not received anything. On Monday near the end of the day, I emailed him to follow up. He said he had sent the quote Friday at the end of the day. I told him I had not received it and gave him an alternate email address. Moments later, I received the quote in both email accounts, which makes the original "I sent it Friday" explanation questionable at best. Even worse, the quote was wrong. It was a single combined quote, not the two separate quotes I had clearly requested when scheduling the appointment. I immediately pointed this out, and he said he would fix it and resend the corrected quotes. Twenty-four hours later, I still had nothing. I followed up again, this time expressing my frustration and asking why such a simple request was being handled so incompetently. I also told him I intended to write a review about the experience. At that point, he simply stopped responding. So after taking time out of my day, showing up on time, clearly explaining what I needed, following up multiple times, and giving them a chance to correct the issue, I was left with no usable estimate and no response. The lack of follow-through was bad enough. The ghosting after they failed to provide what was requested made it worse. Friendly service at the beginning does not mean much if the follow-through is this careless. Based on this experience, Caliber Collision in Algonquin came across as rushed, disorganized, and unprofessional. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Recently purchased a car that had an outward dent in the driver door. Car came with a 3rd party warranty and I was told to take the car to a body shop to have it looked at. I picked caliber in Algonquin based on their great reviews. Glad I came here! Thankfully my car ended up in general manager Michael Reinerts hands to inspect, and he actually had it repaired while I waited! I asked what I owe since it wasn't ok'd yet through the warranty company, and he said I didn't owe a thing and he would rather fix it for me and get me back on the road same day instead of having me wait a week or two to get the repair approved then have to come back etc. I've never had such a positive experience at a body shop where I was genuinely looked after. Big shout out and thanks to the Caliber Collision team in Algonquin, IL. We were rear-ended 11/27 doing close to $17,000 damage to our car. I needed collision body repair done on my Subaru Forester through insurance. Being a former manager of a body shop I had certain expectations. My expectations were met and exceeded! The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Enterprise met me at the body shop with my rental. I loved the fact that I was sent regular detailed text updates. So there was no need to call for updates. I was advised when additional work was necessary and the extended delivery date. My vehicle was delivered on time. *****Beware***** If you are reading this RUN! I was almost scammed by this company, who if you do your research if you weed through the fake 5-star ratings was actually in financial trouble. Probably explains why they tried to insurance scam me by quoting 150% above what the repairs cost in a effort to take the car to salvage auction or fix it up and sell it. I got offered cash for the car from another mechanic because of how much it wasn't totaled.... I let the insurance company know not to send people there, I am reporting them to the BBB AND they tried to take advantage of my immigrant wife. They claimed they were booked up till May but could get her in if she agreed to the repairs that day and force her into signing some sort of contract that provides them the right to the repair. The other place I went to I've known for 15years and his hat almost fell off his head when he saw what they were trying to get away with. "FRAUD in no uncertain terms he said, cut and dry fraud." Caliber if you're reading this (I hope so) I am letting everyone know about this. The BBB and any insurance lender that you're certified under. You should be ashamed of yourselves and if I can save one person from ever making the mistake of using you its a win. read more

When my daughters car was in an accident I picked Caliber Collision in Algonquin on recommendations from friends. It has such a wonderful customer service experience. They call you with updates weekly, connect you with the car rental companies, and go above and beyond when I had questions. We went with the person who hit her car insurance company so there was no out of pocket expense to us but we saw the itemized bill and thought the pricing looked great compared to other places we have used before. They also provide a warranty for their work. The car looked amazing, the color match was spot on with perfect blending to the other surrounding parts of the car.
