I brought my car in because of all of the great reviews. Biggest regret ever! When I got my car back, there were still dents and completely horrid paint work. There was overspray, orange peel, paint drip. My front bumper looked like a glazed donut. I brought it up to them, and every time they try to fix one thing, they screw up something else. Service was done on date promised. Quality of repair was good. When I picked up the car and about to drive it, I noticed the button that needs to be pressed for the reverse gear to work was broken. It was left on the coffee mug holder. I informed David and denied his personnel broke it. He glued the broken part so I can maneuver the car and leave. I went through a long drawn out ordeal with sharper image where my vehicle was never returned to its pre-accident condition. David gave me an estimated repair time of 10 to 14 days after they look at the vehicle with the appraiser from the insurance company. I thought the appraisal was low for the damage, a vehicle that hit my front left tire about 40 miles an hour, but I'm not a mechanic and David assured me that they would ask for supplemental claims to cover the repairs from insurance. 3 months later I got the call to pick up my vehicle, Having paid for my own rental for three months I was happy to get my vehicle back! I drove home and parked in my space, 15 minutes later I pulled out to run an errand and there was a puddle of oil under my vehicle. I called sharper image I told them about the oil and David told me to bring it back in. As I'm taking it back in the check engine light goes on and I let them know when I arrived. I asked David who check the vehicle before declaring it repaired mechanically he said that an outside shop does their mechanical work and it turns out it's a good year tire and wheel shop that also does mechanical work. I was surprised because I was not aware that Goodyear would be doing mechanical work and I had gone by sharper image's ratings to choose the shop that I was doing my repair work. At this point I spoke to the owner Russ (the owner) and he wanted to help the situation so he said he would cover my rental during the main seal repair which is a small fraction of the time that they had my vehicle and I had to cover my own replacement vehicle. So I contacted the manager good year and I asked him how was this overlooked and how could you not see a huge oil leak between the engine and the transmission at the main seal and he said he was told by sharper image to only do the specified repairs and not to look at anything else. Anyway David tells me that it will be looked at and that they would submit a supplementary claim but the insurance would have to determine if the damage was from the accident? Well surprise surprise the insurance just claims it's not from the accident and I pay out-of-pocket $750 to repair The main seal between the engine and the transmission. Every mechanic I've asked since, has told me that that was probably from the accident due to the hate being directly one side of the axle. The check engine light was cleared but im not sure any repair was made (they told me they changed a catalytic converter) because it keeps coming back on to this day and it has to do with the EVAP and smog systems mounted right where the hit was. When I complain that my vehicle was still not returned to its original condition and I still have the check engine light and the warning lights from my 4 x 4 system Russ lashed out and raised his voice and said that he was done repairing my vehicle and he was out money? Obviously forgetting that I was out $750 for a pair that was obviously caused by the accident and I was out my rental vehicle cost for two months longer than David had estimated the repair to be (That's how far off their initial appraisals are from reality) read more

Let me start off by saying David is a boss! This shop was recommended from a good friend/coworker of mine for my particular car. Although the job on my car was not super extensive, nevertheless it would be a challenging job to match paint and body lines on the front panel of my Subaru WRX. David set me up same day to come in, called Enterprise to pick me up, and kept me updated the whole entire time! He was incredibly professional, efficient, polite, and informative from drop off to pick up. He even had me bring the car in the next day to touch up an area of concern I had. Greeting yelp friends. I don't write reviews, but I love to read them. Today I'm writing to share how my experience went with Fix Auto and their site manager Walter went recently. I have an AMG S65, no damage to the car and it wasn't an insurance referral. However, my panoramic sun roof with retractable shade had jammed on me after a simple push of the button. Extremely frustrated I poured over reviews, blogs and youtube videos and to my horror found that I wasn't the only disenfranchised Mercedes Benz owner. Frustrated at the realization that I was in for a repair that was going to make me want to pour gasoline on my V12 BiTurbo and send it off a cliff. Reason set in and I thought I'd avoid the dealer FOR SURE and see if a body shop could assist. My first stop was Fix Auto here in my home town of Brea. The auto gods sent Walter to greet me. He got right down into the issue and explained he'd seen this many times and would be open to taking a look, and honestly prefaced the whole conversation with he would do his best and if he couldn't do it, he would stop. He did exactly that. After removing the sunroof Walter explained in detail what was happening. This wasn't what I wanted to hear, but it was the TRUTH. That my friends is all a frustrated Mercedes Benz owner can ever ask for. The result I found the BEST sunroof repair shop in Orange County located in Costa Mesa who saved me thousands. I am so glad that my insurance company suggested Sharper Image to fix my car. I got hit while I was parking at the parking lot and the landscaping company will take care of everything to get my car fix, even the rental car that I need it. Sharper Image has Budget rental car in spot, so you don't have to go back and forth to two places and rent your car and pick up your own car when they're finish fixing your car. It's way more convenient for me because I have a very active toddler in tow. I talked to Russ, the owner and he was very accommodating and Jason, took care of everything that I needed. From the rental car, moving all my stuff from one car to another, billing statements, and even made sure that I got everything that I needed from the other insurance company regarding reimburse me with the payments. We took our car in here after a collision. They did the work on time, and the car looks as good as new. The molding is perfectly smooth, and the paint job is impeccable. They washed the car and cleaned the interior, and even treated the black trim so it looks brand new as well, practically an auto detailing. They also offered free engine compartment cleaning. Took my car in last week (Thursday)to get an estimate from a rear end and Angel assisted me. He literally took 1 minute with my car and said he will send the estimate by the end of the day(Thursday). My tire carrier is an obvious replacement and my rim is bent. Angel never got back to me and I emailed him telling him my tire is also damaged since the psi keeps going down when I pump air. Again no response from Angel. I emailed him on Friday for an update and again no response from him. I called in this morning(Monday) to see the status of the estimate and the rep helped me and emailed it over. When reviewing the estimate the rim and tire weren't included and Angel hasn't responded in which are obvious damages from the collision. Seems as if this company cares more for the insurance company and not customer. I don't recommend this place, will take my business elsewhere. read more

If you want perfection, decent customer service and communication do NOT use this shop. I was referred here by family to fix rear end damage to my brand new 2018 suburban. I was backed into in a parking lot. After 4 attempts to pick up my vehicle after the repairs had been made by J. (Front office manager) each time the side panels were not aligned, there was multiple bubbles in the new paint, then they attempted to fix the bubbles in the paint and instead scratched the new bumper and also sanded down too far which made sections of paint dull. At one point I took my vehicle home when they said it was ready and it wasn't, the pictures with the dirty interior was how they gave me the vehicle when it was "ready". I took the vehicle back because J. Told me they could buff out the spots I complained about and that is when The owner moved my vehicle from Brea to La Habra in hopes to make the bumper right after a week of me complaining and getting no where with J. The bumper is far from perfect and to top it off the shop never even checked to see if my rear taillights worked before I picked it up so on my way home I had service warning on my dash. Had to take into dealer even though the owner offered to come to my house and fix that night but by that point I had lost all faith in this shop. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else. The owner blames the Chevrolet bumper for manufacture imperfections, could never be their shops mistake. read more

Update. I ended up spending money out of my pocket and had another Body Shop fix the car. I found the part myself within a day and the body shop was able to fix it in an hour. So clearly it was quite easy to find this part. It was also the opinion of this new body shop that the only way a piece of the body would fall off the car is if it was not repaired correctly in the first place. I had the Better Business Bureau contact Russ at Sharper Image and he is still going out of his way not to take responsibility for the poor work they did. It looks like the next step is court. Just a shame this could have been taken care of rather quickly but they are more concerned with avoiding responsibility. read more

My brand new Tesla car got into an accident. I brought to fix auto brea to get fixed. I have to wait for 3 months for the parts. They didn't call me that the parts were there, so I have to call them. it took 44 days to replace a bumper and quarter panel. When I pickup my car and inspected it, I found out that they created more damages to my car. The tail light is cracked, reflector light on the bumper is broken, the low voltage battery need to be replaced. The rear glass window is damaged caused by metal sparks from welding or grinding. I found it out because I brought my car to get tinted and they refused to tint that particular glass window. They promised to fix it and I waited another month. They did not call me and I have to call them to remind them when they're going to fIx my car. They said that it only take a half day to fix it. The said that it will be ready the next day. They make so many excuses ; the battery that they order was wrong, the tail light is a factory defect, they were on the process of changing the glass window. And I think they swapped my new battery to an older battery because when I brought it for repair I don't have any issue about low voltage battery. The reason I said it, because they willing to put a new battery that belongs to another car and put it in my car. to make the story short I did not get it the next day. And the worst part of it, they lied that my car is ready for pick up, but on my way to pick it up, I received a text that the technician went home so my car is not ready. So I have to wait for the third. I will not recommend this shop 101%. So unprofessional, no integrity, crappy job. read more

This is the only place you should take your car for collision repair. The repair on my Mercedes was done early and it looks like new. The quality was fantastic and I couldn't even tell it had been repaired. My car was returned much cleaner than before the accident and the attention to detail was unbelievable.
