While this might not be a typical review, I wanted to leave a review as I know integrity is so hard to find these days especially when it comes to the auto industry I was in an accident and sent my car here for repairs. Upon taking my car apart there was quite a bit more damage than we could see externally. They called me to inform me of what was wrong and let me know about the parts we would need and the work to be done but made sure I knew they weren't a GM certified shop which could affect my warranty on my car. Unfortunately due to that I had to move my car to a different shop however that really stuck with me. They didn't have to point that out and could have just started the work. Someone hit my car in a parking lot so I told them I would get an estimate and get back to them on how we could proceed. I remembered having an excellent experience with Canyon Paint and Body some years back so I returned. I knew from past experience that another body shop in town would not even do an estimate unless insurance had already approved payment. When I went again to Canyon, they were happy to do an estimate for me. However, the shop gentleman told me he thought he might be able to clean/remove the marks on my paint from the vehicle that hit me. He got some sort of chemical product and some cloths and removed the marks on my car. He did not even charge me! I even called the shop afterwards to make sure I understood correctly and didn't leave without paying. Terrible service. They did a shoddy paint job, and now the paint is peeling off. They refuse to fix it, causing my husband a lot of stress. He trusted them with his car, but they won't do the work or repair the damage. Avoid this place at all costs. There are much better options out there. Read the reviews. We didn't, and now we're stuck in this awful situation. I hope they do the right thing, otherwise, it's a scam. They will lie and say the vehicle was damaged and that was not the case. Initially, I brought my car in for repair after somebody hit the passenger side front door with their car 3 years ago. After a few months had passed, I noticed that the paint was starting to peel where the repair had been made. I got busy and for whatever reason didn't do anything about it until last week. Even though it had been three years, I stopped by on a whim and asked if they could take a look at the peeling paint and my door (which appeared to be misaligned also) to see if they might be willing to fix everything. Amazingly, even though all that time had gone by, they told me they stand by their work and they would fix it. So, fast forward to today when I got my car back. No charge, a handshake and, a repaired vehicle. I can't adequately express how truly impressed I am that in this day and age there's still at least one place where honesty, integrity and pride in doing a job correctly still means something. Consumer beware, I had the front end of my car repaired here, and the paint started failing after six months, once I decided to pursue the warranty that I am promised this company has done everything possible to get out of repairing my car. They lied on the phone to the insurance company about the nature of the issue. I was on the line. I am pretty sure that paint is not supposed to start peeling off the entire surface of the bumper in different locations. I have been in the service industry for over 15 years and there's one thing that I cannot stand, it is when a company does not own up to their mistakes. Not once was I given an apology for what I was experiencing, from the start I was given excuse after excuse after excuse instead of trying to take care of clearly shotty work that was done. They claim because the bottom of the bumper hit a curb that it caused the paint failure. First, the paint fail started before any curb was hit, and the only part damaged is underneath the bumper where it scraped a curb, but yet the entire bumper all the way from left to right and top to bottom has paint peeling. They do not want to warranty it because of this even though they were given the go ahead by me and by the insurance company. Then they want to blame the paint manufacturer and wait on them to see if they will cover it. Again, they are doing everything they can to avoid repairing the work. If they are going lifetime warranty their repairs then why are they trying so hard to avoid fixing an issue that is clearly the fault of a bad paint job. Do not use this company, read more

They call me a few days later saying the door shell is backordered indefinitely and no estimated time back in stock. I decided to take my truck to Puente Hills Toyota to get truck fixed. Asked Canyon to refund my $500 since services were not rendered. They will only refund $500 minus re-stocking fee of the other parts.! On 4/17 I was delivering a backhoe to a job site when I got a call from my work saying "there was an accident involving your truck blah blah blah" long story short, a 40 ton crane hit my brand new truck while being unloaded from a trailer. Obviously I was pissed, but I went to go pick up my truck from Canyon Paint & Body in Brea on 5/1 and I was in awe. They did an amazing job, replaced and repaired all damaged parts with OEM parts straight from the dealer. If you're looking for quality work I would definitely choose them 10 times out of 10. $10,000+ worth of damage fixed in less than 2 weeks. You can't beat that. You'll notice the TSS sensor is missing in the second picture, the sensor that Toyota sent Canyon had a broken clip on the back so they're waiting on another one to be delivered in a couple of days..
