I love my car and no one has "handling rights" besides my mechanic and a few selected people! We had our F350 disel work truck stolen and when the police finally found it behind a hardware store in Oakland, it had some significant damage. Arthur from ACR worked closely with our insurance adjuster and got the repairs done pretty quickly considering the amount of damage we had both to the exterior body, interior, clutch and engine. I was in a car accident in January where the lady who hit me went MIA immediately following the incident (apparently you can do that and postpone all car repairs for the person you irresponsibly hit!) and Alameda Collision Repair was amazing to work with. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. My vehicle was in a very minor fender bender and when I found this shop I couldn't have been happier. My husband and 6 year old took the car in for a quick evaluation, and my son came back with a very good review about the "Cars" theme painted on the wall, and how nice the guys were. Then we were able to quickly schedule a appointment at a later date. When I went to drop off my vehicle they were quick to greet and help me, and had all the appropriate paperwork necessary without having to give them any extra info. When we were done with the paper work, without missing a beat, the gentleman that was helping me immediately asked if I needed a Hertz pick up, right before I was about to call for an uber. It was like he read my mind, and answered any questions before I had a chance to ask them. I was also able to drop the rental off at the shop so i didn't have to go back to the dealership. Dino called me the day before I was supposed to pick up the vehicle, but unfortunately it was not done being detailed when he expected, but he called to let me know it would be done the next day. I was able to pick it up that next day, and it was beautiful. We had recently taken it 4-Wheeling and she was a muddy mess, and when I got her back she looked like she just came off the show room. The job they did was a minor corner panel job, but it looks great and straight, and I even think they changed the bumper, which wasn't completely necessary. I brought my car to ACR after several people could not find the annoying rattle in the back of my car. They found it right away and fixed it at a very reasonable price. They had to get the part so I was given a wonderful car to use overnight. The people are very friend and the shop is very clean. I was shown the defective part and the owner explained the problem. My car was WASHED and ready to go. A few weeks later I had a flat tire - while waiting for AAA I decided to clean my glove box and the box between my front seats. The lid on the one between the seats has been off for several years. It was latched and lid put back on!! No one could have done this but ACR. I called them and Arthur (the owner) told me that if their mechanics see something broken that can be easily fixed, they do it. THIS IS DEFINITELY a shop I would recommend. I went in to get an estimate to fix a door that wasn't completely closing. The issue, embarrassingly enough, was some loose screws on the body locking latch which Paul tightened up, solving the problem and sending me on my way in two minutes, no charge. I have had work done on my cars here over the years but hadn't been in to the shop in about six years - this confirmed that the quality of work is still great and that customer service is alive and well in Alameda. About a month ago my parked car was hit while I was at work. Fortunately a parking attendant witnessed the whole thing and got the pertinent information for me. I took my car to ACR. I don't have a lot of experience with collision companies, thank goodness. In fact, the only other experience I had had turned out not so good. So I was somewhat suspicious from the beginning. I couldn't have been more wrong. Leo was the guy I met on Day 1 and he led me through the process. It took a couple weeks to get the policy holder, the insurance company and everyone on the same page but I finally got my car in for the repairs. It was really not that serious, a broken tail light and a rear fender. They apparently had some difficulty getting a suitable fender but once they did, it all went quickly. I picked my car up last Friday and it was more than perfect. The fender and tail light were fixed, of course, but my car had been detailed and was looking better than when I bought it! The front headlight covers had become sort of translucent over time and I thought I would eventually have to replace them. Not so, they look good as new. I bought the car when it was two years old and it had something splattered over the trunk area. It wasn't really all that noticeable but I noticed it. I had tried to clean it up once but was unsuccessful. They took care of it. Mind you, I did not ask for this, they just did it. They vacuum and detailed the inside as well. I feel like I brought home a brand new car. Hats off to Leo. He handled my phone calls and my anxiety like a total pro. If I ever need the services of a collision repair shop, I won't hesitate to turn my car over to them again. Plus, the shop is impressive. It's clean, they have a play area for little ones with a fantastic painted wall mural from 'Cars'. They even have beverages for their customers....free. The Saturday before last a contractor working on another house didn't check what gear he was in and hit the gas while looking out the back window. Unfortunately, he was in drive and hit the rear of my Honda Pilot which was parked at the curb, in park and with the emergency brake on. He pushed my car 10 feet down the road!
