I took my truck a week later to someone else and they let me see what my brakes looked like and come to find out Taylor Tires let me drive my truck without any brakes on the back and I had no brakes on passenger side. So the only brakes that I had was on drivers side and they were very very thin. How can you allow someone to drive off in their vehicle without any brakes. I could have been killed or injured. And I could have killed someone or injured someone if I had hit them. How can they sleep at night knowing that they did this. I have had a great experience every time, but what happened today was worth taking the time to write about. As part of dealing with some recent issues with my vehicle, I knew the car had been out of alignment. One tire had become badly worn, while another was almost brand new because I had replaced it about a month ago after picking up a screw. I went into Discount Tire fully expecting to replace all four tires and spend somewhere around $1,000. I told the gentleman helping me that I needed four new tires. He inspected all four and essentially told me, "We can certainly sell you four tires, but I think we can sell you one and potentially get another 18 to 24 months out of the others." Obviously, I wanted to hear more. He walked me through the condition of each tire and showed me exactly what he was seeing. One tire needed to be replaced. Two others had worn more aggressively because of the alignment issue, but the wear was even and they still had approximately 60% of their usable tread remaining. The fourth tire was the newer one I had recently replaced. Instead of simply selling me what I walked in asking for, he recommended replacing the one tire that actually needed it, rotating the others into the best positions, and then having me come back for their free tire rotations so we can manage the wear and hopefully extend the life of the set another 18 to 24 months. I walked in expecting to spend about $1,000 and walked out spending roughly $200. That kind of honesty is exactly why this is now the third time I have chosen Discount Tire since moving to Hixson. What made the day even better was that I had just come from another automotive repair where I had also received some unexpectedly good news. Between the two businesses, I started the day mentally preparing myself to spend close to $5,000 on my vehicle. Instead, because both businesses recommended only what I actually needed, I ended up spending around $800 total. You just don't have days like that very often when dealing with car repairs. Discount Tire had every opportunity to sell me four tires. I was standing there ready to buy them. Instead, they gave me the advice that was best for me and saved me approximately $800. That is how you earn a customer's trust and repeat business. Three experiences with Discount Tire since 2022, three great experiences -- and after today's experience, finally a well-deserved review. Highly recommended.

They are super friendly and always do what is best for the budget. Their prices are the best. The original issues still aren't fixed, and now the A/C won't switch from the floor vents--I have no defrost and no air from the center vents, which makes the truck unsafe to drive. On top of that, I just found out they lost the hardware that holds the center console down. Seriously? The staff constantly changes, and everyone claims they've "only been there two weeks." No one knows what's going on. It's been 5 months, and they still can't fix my vehicle. This place is full of incompetence, excuses, and flat-out lies. I'm reporting this to corporate and the Better Business Bureau. I will never return and strongly warn others to stay away from this location.

Over the course of several visits for repairs, I've noticed parts mysteriously going missing from my vehicle, including my engine cover (with Honda branding) and my rear windshield wiper blade. These are not minor oversights--they show a lack of attention and care. One of the most concerning issues was a broken mirror, which I noticed before I even left the lot. It took three weeks just to process a claim and get a replacement. That kind of delay is unacceptable for something that was clearly damaged under their care. I'm currently dealing with an oil leak that has been "fixed" three times already, and now I'm waiting to hear back--again--about the valve cover gaskets and service availability. It's been four weeks with no concrete answer. Meanwhile, the ongoing leak has caused even more damage: I've had to replace my alternator twice and now the belt is beginning to squeak. This is the result of poor, incomplete service. I wanted to have the warranty work done at a different Meineke location due to lack of trust in this one, but was told it must be done at the same location to be covered. That policy only adds to the frustration. With the high employee turnover, there is zero consistency in communication or workmanship, and I've lost all confidence that they are capable--or willing--to properly resolve the issue. I've been calling twice a week and stopping by in person, only to be met with delays and excuses. It really feels like they are just stalling until the warranty runs out. At this point, if I don't get a resolution soon from either the store or Meineke corporate, I will be forced to report them to the Better Business Bureau and consider filing a police report for small claims court. There is no excuse for this kind of service. I strongly do not recommend this location.
