This hidden gem has been my go to spot for years. Even through the pandemic period, they were super cautious with cleanliness and wearing masks at all times. They clean your area and even spray sanitizer. You really can't beat the price either! I do the 60 minutes combo massage and if you pay cash, you knock off a couple bucks which makes it about $35. I think I've said this before but I truly believe reflexology places like this beat any Burke Williams or ShangriLa hotel places where I've spent HUNDREDS of dollars and didn't feel like I got my money's worth. It's just practical. I don't need to sniff aromas or have my own private room. I come to this place to relax and get rid of whatever pain I may be having with my shoulders, neck or back. The wonderful thing about their "routine" massage is I know what to expect every time. I particularly love the first 10-15 minutes where they're examining your back for knots and then a swift push down my back to crack my spine. PEOPLE, it's a massage AND chiropractor visit all in one. You know how much Chiro visits are? On top of that you get your feet soaked in water and rubbed with lotion. I almost didn't want to post this because I don't want this going out to the public. Pressure was strong but kept checking to see if I needed less. I was impressed with how it's a totally full body massage from head to feet and it didn't feel like any area was skimped on. One thing that's unique is that you keep all clothes on (will probably wear something more loose next time) and it's not a private room but it's really not an issue at all. This will be my new go-to spa place! Today we opted for the 90 minute combo massage. Oh wow, it was amazing!!! The masseuse worker was very firm, but it felt amazing on my muscles. He was great about checking in on the pressure and how it was going a few times in the beginning. By the time he got to my feet, I was snoring a bit! That's how relaxed I was. The place was very clean and nice. It was very easy to call and book an appointment about a week before. They do accept credit cards and you can leave the tip on there which is nice. The atmosphere was good: dim lights and relaxing music. Everything was done in one open space, but there were curtains for sense of privacy. The only downside was that my boyfriend's massage therapist wasn't accommodating. We both requested for the massage to be lighter/less intensive because it was our first time/our muscles were sore from the gym. The lady for my session was super nice and sweet, and always checked in to make sure everything was going well. However, when my boyfriend mentioned it to his massage therapist, he said "No, you're a guy, you don't need it to be lighter." Just found that to be rude and discriminative. Update: my boyfriend woke up feeling very sore and much worse about his back and his spine felt bruised. Allen is the best. I have been going to him for at least 1.5 years, and by far, the best massage quality is consistently excellent. If you have tight muscles and need deep pressure point releases regularly, Allen is the right person. I have not had experience with the other masseuses, but I am sure they are just as good, based on my girlfriend's experience with another masseuse. I wish I could go here more often, but I am a college student about 5 hours away, so I make sure to go whenever I come back home for holidays, when I visit family, etc. By the way, I have tried other deep tissue massage places around my college; they do not even come close to how professional, expert, and reliable five-star spa staff have been. read more

Again, it's been a while since I've been at five-star spa partly because of the pandemic. But we went ahead and made appointments for the usual foot massages, as well as sweetest massage. If you're looking for a spa environment such as a hotel etc. this is not the place for you. This is a quiet and calm space that offers what I would consider more traditional Chinese massage although they do offer Swedish and relaxation. You enter a larger room that is divided for foot massage and private massage. I opted for the foot massage, which starts out on your stomach that includes back, leg, and neck massages. Then you will turn over and put your feet in some relaxing, warm water While they massage the rest of you. Then they will give you a very soothing foot massage with lotion. Also keep in mind that you are dressed for this foot massage combo and they do not use lotion on your body only your feet. If you're looking for a full body massage that you get undressed, then I suggest the Swedish or another full-service massage. Prices are very reasonable and I don't think they've gone up much in the past few years. I love supporting this place and have been coming here for years. You could always finish off with a nice lunch or dinner in the mall area. Service is always so nice. The front reception gentleman is also super friendly and helpful. I like that you can leave tip on a credit card. There are no showers by the restroom. Plenty of parking. I always find it exceptionally clean here. The massage styles can vary. I'm not a huge fan of massages because they always hurt but I tend to do the split of feet and then head, neck, shoulders, etc. and it's perfect. I love that they have those options. Many places I've tried don't give you the option to break up your time on different areas of the body. I hope it does not sound like I am exaggerating when I say I felt reborn again after my 60 minute full body deep tissue massage with Steven. I had been experiencing whole body soreness from frequent exercise and low back pain due to a tight hip flexor. No amount of stretching, foam rolling, massage gun, or Epsom salt baths were a match for Steven's mighty elbow and forearm. I opted for firm pressure and Steven worked on my knots and I left feeling rejuvenated and walking taller. I was also able to walk upstairs with ease when I clearly remember it taking more effort before my massage. The spa is located at Diamond Jamboree on the second floor right about Ajisen Ramen. I like that it was so easy to make an appointment and they close at 10PM. The facility was very clean and all employees wore facemasks. My husband and I were walked into a large room with multiple massage tables. Our two massage tables were partitioned by curtains to provide some privacy. Wave sounds were played in the large room and it was quiet (therapists weren't chatting), so I can relax. We were given the open to remove our clothes or leave it on. We were glad we opted to remove our clothes because the massage therapist was able to apply oil and really get into the muscles. The body is wiped down with a hot towel and dried afterwards. The cost is lower if you pay in cash, but that was not advertised on their price list in the lobby! There is a recommended tip amount depending on the service provided. read more

It started as an average experience, then it was a bad experience. The process of booking the appointment was easy and quick, I booked a last minute appointment. Called at 3:26 pm and got an appointment with Alan for same day, at 4:30 pm. I didn't know Alan but read about him on Yelp. He seems to be in high demand. People are saying Alan is very good. I was happy to get an appointment with Alan on first try. I arrived at 4:25 pm. Alan was still working on his last appointment. I was okay with it because I had extra time to relax and prepare myself for the foot massage. I booked the 60 minute foot massage. Although we started 15 minutes behind, I did received a full 60 minutes session. The session ended on time. Alan was good, not great. I was in an open room, no curtains & no doors. I can hear everyone talking and walking by. Everyone also can see me. It was awkward and I felt my personal space was violated. I guess I was in an open room because the session is only $40. I didn't get a private space (not room, a space) with curtain. Those would cost more. I got quite relaxed toward the end of the session. But then a lady customer bursted out loud saying she can't relax because her massage therapist kept on asking her how pressure was. Thanks to the lady customer, I got jerked back to the reality and felt very annoyed by her. My session ended within five minutes after that. My experience thus far was average up to this point. When checking out the front desk lady asked me if I was paying cash for tips. I had some cash so I said yes. Although my experience wasn't the best I thought Alan provided good service so I tipped 20%, $8. However the front desk lady asked me to tip MORE. Minimum is $10 for a 60 minute massage, she said. Umm, did you forget my session started late, and that I was woken up by a rude customer? Despite all that, a $8 tip for a $40 massage isn't good enough?!?. Five Star Spa is not a 5-star spa. I went to this massage parlor and had a poor experience. Here is why I won't visit here again: - When booking my appointment they didn't ask me if I preferred a male or female therapist and automatically assigned me a male therapist. Upon arrival and after waiting in the room I noticed a male therapist entering so I politely told him I preferred a female. In broken English he responded by saying that I had been assigned a male at booking and no female therapists were available at the moment. While walking around I noticed there were a lot of male therapists working here. - The room layout was not relaxing in my opinion. It looked and felt like a military bunker. The rooms were divided not by well decorated and thick walls for noise cancellation but instead with sheets hanging from the ceiling like a tent. There were security cameras on the ceiling during my massage. This place seems to have been poorly converted into a massage parlor from something else. The waiting area on the other hand is decorated nicely which is why I went through with my appointment only to be disappointed when being sent to a strange massage tent moments later. - My male massage therapist didn't speak much English and it was very hard to communicate with him. - Due to lack of thick walls between rooms I could hear everything from the next rooms. I could hear other customers and employees speaking to one another. It was impossible for me to relax with so much noise. It is my opinion that there are too many other amazing, well decorated and managed massage parlors nearby with a mostly female staff of therapists for me to return to this parlor. Before leaving I shared these complaints to the front desk employee who after laughing at me said they had been open for many years and I was the first to complain about these issues. I dragged my friend here with me about a week ago for an impromptu 1 hour full body massage. I had Steven and he did a deep tissue massage while my friend got a Swedish massage from a female masseuse. While I felt rejuvenated and much better after my massage, unfortunately he was feeling worse than before he got in. The pain ended up lasting for a whole week, with him reporting extreme soreness and discomfort. We had another appointment, this time for a 90 minute full body massage in about a week and I requested for Steven again. We alerted the front desk that my friend wanted someone different and preferred a male masseur. Second time around, both of us had a wonderful experience!
