Brandon did an excellent job designing and building our 8x12 shed on site. It is fully compliant with our HOA guidelines and looks great both from a distance and up close. The craftsmanship is superb. We highly recommend Five Star Sheds! read more

Five Star Sheds - Sheds & Outdoor Storage Near Me

While it's great to have a partner who is so handy around the house, he accumulated more tools than our garage could comfortably hold, so it was time to call the pros for a shed. We were both impressed with the sheds available on the website and what we saw on Yelp, so we decided Five Star Sheds would be perfect for our own custom shed. The guys were great to work with throughout every step of the process. They came out a couple months before installation to check out the building area and go over our options. (Because everyone was still getting in their pandemic home improvements, their spring schedule filled up quickly.) When filing the permit with the county, we learned that our original plan for the shed wouldn't be possible due to the property line distance requirements, so we needed to have a somewhat unusual 4'x12' design. The guys had no problem with this request and even designed a special roof overhang for my husband's kayak. A few days before installation, they gave us a heads up when previous project was running longer than initially anticipated, so we were able to make sure we could push it back by another day. It was amazing how quickly they built our incredible shed! The crew arrived just after 7:30 and by 2:30 we had a completed custom build! I watched from the window a few times throughout the process and each time I couldn't believe how quickly everything was coming together. It was so sturdy that they were able to test the shelves by standing on them. There are so many beautiful finishing touches to the shed, like metal plating at the entryway and decorative hinges. The parts of the shed also include very generous warranties, so if we ever have issues with the materials, we can call to get it fixed. We were blown away when we did our final walkthrough. If you are looking for a custom shed in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to call Five Star Sheds. They definitely live up to their business name. Even if you have to wait for your build, it's well worth it! The craftsmanship is unmatched and the team works hard to surpass your expectations every step of the way. read more

My wife and I could not be happier with Five Star Sheds. From the time we contacted them for an estimate, to agreeing on the scope, to scheduling the job, to building the shed (which was finished ahead of schedule) all the way through walking us through the final product to make sure everything was just the way we wanted it, their commitment and communication was among the best we have experienced in the 26 years we have lived in our home. In addition, they also contacted us a couple of days after the job was completed to make sure we were still satisfied. Great company, great people. Although the basic structure of our shed was fairly straightforward, Brandon and his team listened to our wish list and suggested ways to make them happen. Given their experience, they were full of great ideas and gave us a final product far better than anything we could have imagined or done on our own. These guys are skilled craftsmen and know their trade very well. And we got a customized, stick built shed that looks great and will last for many years. Like I said in the beginning, my wife and I could not be happier with Five Star Sheds. Highly recommended! read more

Brandon and crew are great craftsmen and 5-Star is one of the few companies out there who will build on-site. They do a great job at a great price and they are fast - once they get to your house. And that is their one problem. They have one crew. They have no office staff. When you call them their phone rings on the worksite and Brandon will probably not answer. They are not very communicative. Sometimes it take a while and many attempts to get their attention. I started my contact with them in April and they were so backed up it took until late August to get it built. But despite the lack of communication and long lead time it was worth it. They are in demand because they do great work. read more

Adding to the great reviews for this small company. Initial consult in June re site, shed size and features, with shed built in October as promised. Importantly, I felt no pressure whatsoever re doing larger or more than I wanted. Although my 8x10, relatively simple shed went up in just a day, it is very well built, sturdy and tight, with excellent clean up after construction. It comes with a great warranty. These folks have it down to a science. I did not have the comms issues that some have reported. Folks just need to be aware this is a very small local company with no office staff; they are backed up with work because they are in demand; their work is honest and good and for a fair price for customized construction. A little patience with them will be rewarded with a good experience and excellent product at the end of the day. read more

We can't say enough great things about Brandon and his team. Excellent craftsmanship, professional and efficient. It is not surprising that they are in demand so get on their list, be prepared to wait a few weeks or months from their initial site visit. It is worth the wait! read more

These guys just completed work on what was admittedly the smallest shed they've built. They built it perfectly to our specifications and taste. Top notch build and great communication. They thought it would take one day but it took two full days. The material they used was top of the line (e.g. Pella windows!) and they cleaned up really well after the build. Well worth the price and now we have the exact shed we'd envisioned. Thanks guys!! read more

Came to give us a quote in early this spring-- said they would install the first week in July. Instead, they ghosted us, and are not responding to emails and voice messages. I do not recommend!! read more

Waited 2 weeks for them to come for an estimate and then he didn't even show up. Called several times left emails nothing. He left me an email asking if he could come early and a number I called it several times. Wasted half my day. read more

We love our new shed! Brandon and Matt removed our decrepit old pool shed and replaced it with a beautiful new shed that is larger and has an attached lean-to that covers our pool pumps and filter. They are prompt, courteous, extremely hardworking, meticulous and very reasonably priced. I am so glad we found this company - we already have plans to have them do some more work for us later this year when their schedule permits. This is one TERRIFIC local business! Thanks guys! Highly recommend! read more

Five Star Sheds - Our brand new shed with lean-to - by Five Star Sheds in Manassas. - Sheds & Outdoor Storage Near Me

They might be great shed builders... I wouldn't know because they almost never reply to emails or calls. I finally got someone on the phone in December and they said they were closed until March but then they'd be making appointments/planning in February so they'd call me back in February. Sounded great...except that they never did. I tried contacting again last week and never got a response. read more

I recommend Five Star Sheds for anyone interested in a quality custom shed built by respectful professionals that clearly take pride in their work. They were on time for the initial consultation and it was great to meet the men who would be working on my property. Brandon and Matt built my 16' x 10' Elite shed in a couple of days. They arrived early each day, confirmed key details, and kept me informed of their progress and schedule. The end result is a sturdy, beautiful shed that I'll enjoy having for a long time to come. While I don't anticipate needing it, the 10 year warranty is added peace of mind. I looked at a few different options for storage buildings, but Five Star's pricing was fair, their craftsmanship and professionalism are second to none, and the options for customization are excellent! read more

These guys came on time, were super clean, on budget and on schedule. They built a custom 10x10 shed under my deck. It came out looking great! Super high quality. Very friendly too. I would recommend them. read more

Getting a new shed has been on my list for some time now. I priced out many options and was lucky to have a neighbor recommend Barbara & Milton at Five Star Sheds over the summer. I can't say enough about my experience. The shed itself is fantastic - sturdy, functional and built with a careful attention to detail. I know it will last for a long time. After our initial meeting Barbara & Milton set a date about 6 weeks out and checked in several times in between. The morning of the build they were on time and exceeded my expectations in all aspects of the job. Lovely people, great communication and fantastic work. A++ read more

If you need a shed ....hire this company!!! They came out to our house in Culpeper to look at the area where we wanted it and gave us many options and design ideas. We received a very reasonable quote and a date to start construction. They were right on time with the date promised! We made some adjustments on site the day they arrived and they couldn't have been more accommodating!!! The shed was built exactly how we wanted it with great workmanship in 3 days. They couldn't have been nicer to work with and take well deserved great pride in everything they do. read more

We just had a 16x10 shed built by Milton and Barbara. Due to weather they were pushed back a day but notified up plenty ahead of time. It wasn't an issue at all. I was doing a lot of looking around for companies to put in the shed. My issue was only having an 8 foot wide gate to access the back yard. Milton and Barbara came out on a Saturday and showed us lots of pictures and samples of materials. They went out in the yard and checked everything out. We wanted siding that matched the house. They had that but it was a deluxe color so they checked on the price for us and it wasn't too much more so we went that route. They started the shed on Wednesday and finished on Friday. It rained Friday morning but they had showed up at the house (after I left for work) and waited out the rain. They didn't want to waste the day if the rain stopped. When I got home they were finishing up the shed. They took the time to work with me on exactly where we wanted the shelves in the shed and how far apart we wanted them. I could write a lot more about how awesome Milton and Barbara were. Call them up and find out for yourself, it is well worth your time. Hands down one of the best companies I have dealt with. read more

KMS Sheds just completed building my garden shed and I am thrilled. Here are the highlights: - Husband and wife team do all the work; based in Manassas - Very prompt, professional, organized, responsive and friendly - They build the entire thing on your lot - They closely matched the siding color and trim paint of my house - No need to level or grade the ground - they build a small level foundation on which the shed sits - They frame the structure, just like a house, and add roofing, siding, quality screened windows, a ramp, secure door and custom shelves inside (some of these are all options you may choose) - 10 year warranty - My shed is 8 X 12 and it took two full days to build - They bring a 15 foot trailer with all the materials, plus their own bathroom, so you don't have to be home while they do the work - They worked very hard despite 94 degree heat I highly recommend KMS Sheds. read more

Great experience, great attention to detail; the legacy continues. It only took 2 days for 3 guys to custom stick-build our awesome 10 X 10. The crew happily accommodated our every whim. Price included tear-down and removal of existing aluminum shed. Plan ahead, though; their dance card fills up quickly. read more

This is the second time I've used KMS (Five Star Sheds as is their new name). They built an 12x8 shed for me about a decade ago and it came out better than expected. They just finished another 12x8 shed and it surpassed my expectations yet again. Barbara and Milton are very responsive and easily the most pleasant people I've worked with. They own the business and build the sheds themselves. They remembered the last shed they built for me over a decade earlier! Granted, it was a bit unique because of the slope, which made it stand out. I can't say enough about their work ethic, promptness, communication, and overall joy to work with. I highly recommend them! Thank you Barbara and Milton!! read more

We just had our shed built by Five Star Sheds and could not be happier with the end result. Before deciding to build with Five Star Sheds, we shopped around with several other builders. The prices were all very competitive. The difference for us was Barbara and Milton. They came out to our house on a Saturday to design the shed with us and they were able to accommodate all of our requests. We were able to get everything exactly the way we wanted. It's even custom painted the same color as our house. The build went very well without any issues. They completed everything on time just as promised. The shed is very well built with high quality composite materials. Milton even hauled some scrap building materials from my old shed to the dump to save me a trip. It's refreshing to know that there are good people still out there who deliver excellent service and a well build product. Thank very much Barbara and Milton, it was a joy to work with you! read more

Milton and Barbara are a terrific couple who built my 10x12 shed in September. They communicated very clearly and regularly, asked me what features I wanted, and produced an excellent finished product. Milton even did some leveling of the ground beforehand, at no extra cost. I am so glad I went with them instead of getting something made out of plastic. read more
