Expensive labor and shoddy workmanship. I have had blades sharpened before there and never had a problem, until now. Weeks and weeks passed and they never reached out. I want to say maybe 6 weeks. After several calls and requests to get a time frame for the work, they finally told me that one was ruined and they had not gotten to the second one yet. However, I was now out of time and had to purchase a brand new weedwacker from them for the job. I asked what I needed to do for this transaction and they said nothing, the weedwacker was totaled. I bought the new weedwacker because I had no other options. Fast forward a year and they start demanding a $45 processing fee for one of these two machines. I went in to pay it and they left me waiting in the store by myself for 10-15 minutes. I left, came back a week later, and explained how inconvenient the entire process was and suggested we waive the $45 fee. Considering how proactive I have been trying to resolve this, I am very disappointed they insisted on charging me the $45 fee. I always got the vibe that Cecil's Tractors had a preferred clientele and I was not it. I am now convinced they do not want my patronage at all. No loss to me though--the service was always poor and prices very high. I always try to support my local businesses but they couldn't meet me halfway lol.

I knew it might cost me a little bit for all three so I just waited for them to call me and let me know the estimate for getting all three repaired. I missed their call but called em back after the Memorial Day holiday. They told me both push mowers were ready for me to pick them up...then the guy I spoke with told me it be about $200. If I would have known that I would have just bought a new push mower...at any rate, I popped by today to pick up all three mowers and squareup on my bill. When they told me my riding lawn mower was gonna cost $300...I just told them I couldn't afford that. Evidently, they suggested I have the carbuerator replaced as well... I don't want to come off like a jerk in this review or say anything bad about them...I really did appreciate them going over the bill with me showing what was replaced and why it was replaced. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly and kind. These are hard working honest folks and I do plan on coming back. I would've given them five stars had they had a better system in place that would have let me the customer way the cost benefit of repairing the machines versus just replacing them.
