It takes entirely too long to get mobile repairs. They were at my place in January 2025 to repair the steering wheel cylinder in my 5525. In July the same problem occurred. When asked, "when can you come back out" Service department says "it won't be this week"! I went over 18 years and no problem with the steering column, now, twice in 5 months? Was the first repair even done properly? The parts department is pretty good however. read more

Had a hydraulic cylinder leak. I called Virginia Tractor and asked about parts and service to repair. I was quoted to expect $300 a cylinder all told. The cost came out to be less, much less, than quoted which would have been a pleasant surprise on its own. But that's not where they shined. The locking nut had cracked during reassembly, they did not tell me it was my bad, they simply replaced it as part of the original cost. I am a strong believer of do it yourself because nobody is going to care about your equipment like you do. But, Virginia Tractor is an exception to this rule, they put the care into their work and take pride in what they present. read more

Not sure about all the negative reviews, but so far my experience with VA Tractor Warrenton has been fine. I'm dropping a star because John Deere financing said I couldn't use their 1.9% financing since I applied using my farms name - I had to use their 3% financing. Not a huge deal. They delivered my lawn tractor and taught my wife and I how to run it. It was all set up, gassed and ready to go when it arrived. Everyone was friendly, I had no problems getting what I wanted. Yeah folks, inflation, taxes and the tax and spend politicians you elect to office will cause everything to rise in price. read more

Employees are rude as hell. Was yelled at when I approached the cashier without being instructed to do so. Extremely condescending people. Ordered a tractor seat, waited 6 months for the seat. Apron arrival was informed that the seat had been given to another customer because "they needed it more". Useless service department and miserable employees. Would rate lower if I could. read more

Terrible Customer Service I walked into "New VA Tractor" in Warrenton, cash in hand, ready to buy a lawn tractor. Stood around for 15-20 minutes looking at mowers and accessories, put the toddler on a couple of tractors, then heard one of the bored-looking employees walk in the back and say "If yah wan'ta look at sumthin give us a call and we talk to you 'bout it. Don'just come inta the store and EXPECT us to talk to you..." They could have fooled me - what with having a storefront and an "Open" sign in the window. So I went elsewhere. read more

My Deere lawn mower had a flat tire so I brought it to this place(John Deere dealer). new tire with mounting....?? $225. $185 for the tire, 20 for the mount, 20 for the governor.I agreed to let them do the work although my thoughts were "sounds rich!". went home and looked up the exact tire on-line...Walmart: $75 for the tire, 25 for the mount. Later on when I went back to pick up the tire I tried to see if they had wiggle room on the price. Nope... So I learned a valuable lesson about highway(or greenway?) robbery. July of 2018 They repaired my JD Zero Turn mower under the JD Warranty. They replaced a drive motor, a vacuum hose and adjusted the valves since the engine was making popping sounds. All items were fixed first time round - good work. Communication could have been a little bit better about the status of the mower. read more

Even though this is a very busy time for their business they got someone out here to fix a transaxle filter within 24 hours. The technician was extremely courteous helpful and knowledgeable. I will call them again for servicing our lawn tractor. read more

I needed to replace the starter solenoid on my JD445. I bought the part from New VA Tractor in Warrenton and was advised the work was not difficult to do. Part way through the replacement process I ran into some difficulty attaching the new solenoid. After several calls to Greg in service, I was able to successfully complete the installation. Greg was willing to "stick with me" over this series of calls even though it appeared he was quite busy that day. Thanks Greg! Needed a couple things done on the tractor and an oil change, was told it was free pick up, however there was a catch, if you didn't do the full service, no matter how much the work added up to they charged you for pick-up and delivery. This was very did-appointing, everytime I go there there is some issue, last time they returned my tractor with a bad fuel pump, leaked a tank of diesel on the floor of my pole barn and the tractor was never usable after that and I sold it to buy the one they just worked on, keep in mind I sent it for their full service and it was running and usable when it went in for service. Wish there was a better alternative. read more

I second that first review with the comment terrible customer service. Worse than that the service department is just nasty. Every time I go in there to take my lawn mower for service, I get snapped at. Worse yet, they do not properly service my mower. Every year I take it in prior to mowing season and every year after just one or two uses, the belt snaps and I spend three hundred or more fixing it after spending four hundred to make sure there won't be problems during mowing season. This time, turns out they missed a transmission leak and a spindle is loose and so are the blades. I finally took it elsewhere when they blamed me for the broken belt and were quite nasty. Businesses just shouldn't treat customers that way. I won't be going back. read more

I have a large 65 hp farm tractor - John Deere 2350 - that needed significant repair work. New Virginia Tractor in Warrenton was responsive, helpful and took care of all needed repairs to restore my much needed tractor to great running/functioning operation. They were also extremely kind and attentive to all my questions and carefully explained the needed work and the reasonable charges for the work.
