I came here on Wednesday Jan 22nd for my birthday and got a full set of acrylic nails. Definitely…read morewasn't the best experience that I've had. Normally nail techs will push the cuticle back and trim around the nails and whatnot, I did not get that. When he was filing my acrylic nail on my pinky, he cut my pinky (not terrible but still he cut it). The acrylic isn't all the way on my nail like to the back, not super smooth. The shape isn't bad either. But it's definitely a little wider than what I wanted but I didn't want him to file more. When it came time to pay I handed him $50 and my husband was bringing the rest of the money in. Total was $55 and he told my husband $15 more. And we couldn't get that extra money back. My mother in law goes in here all the time and likes them but I'm not a fan. I was wanting to go somewhere else on my birthday but they were closed that week. It is pretty quiet in there, soft music playing. They didn't talk much. The wife talked to me more than he did. Only things he said was "what shape" and the price. Other than that it was a pretty awkward appointment. The color of my nails is amazing. I just wish I had a better experience. Also normally nail techs are nice and pretty gentle but he wasn't. Filing my nails too rough. Kinda swatted my hand out of the way. I don't know if it's just me but I thought I'd put my experience out there for others.

So i used to go a while ago, and i think my basic glitter oval nails were the best ones i got! but…read morethe only issue is the three different sets i got were all different length nails but very noticeable on some nails. the ones with the E initial and french tip were okay the lengths were very very different on all of them. the regular french tips were probably the worst ones i got unfortunately. thy were very bulky, in the pictures they were grown out so thats not concerning. but i asked in advance if i can get a gold or silver design that was very simple drawn on as a accent on my ring finger. at the end before the top coat went on i reminded her, and she told me that i could go buy brushes and nail gel and do it myself because she didn't have enough time. also the top coat was very poorly applied, i paid 75 dollars with high school discount. i was excited to get the nails i wanted for my 17th birthday and i ended up without the one simple design i wanted i was very upset about it. i discontinued going after i heard the way she talked about customers that were slightly late or had to cancel. i was worried she would talk about me like that as well.

The spa and gift shop were clean, tidy and inviting. I was brought back rather quick for my massage. The whole facility appeared fresh and clean. The massage was great and I was in the couple's massage room although it was just me. The other table was unoccupied. The female masseuse (I forgot her name at this point) did a good job and made me feel comfortable the entire process. If I was back in the area I would visit again. There was plenty of street parking.

Approximately two hours before the appointment I received a call from Sam indicating the esthetician assigned to do my facial would not be in and he professionally reviewed my options. Having the opportunity to do that before arriving was greatly appreciated! I skipped the facial and relaxed in the zen room which was the perfect prelude to my scrub and massage. After a hot foot soak my wife and I were off to more treatments. The ocean scrub was amazing. The balance of exfoliation with the salt wrap was amazing and left my entire body (ok 90% of it) feeling baby smooth and soft. Shawn Marie did an amazing job and had the right balance of pressure and healing touch and I was very "healed" upon completion. My wife was very satisfied with Patricia's professionalism as well. Patricia listened to what her client expressed in terms of where she felt tension, where she carries her stress and went to work. All interactions felt authentic, personal and it is clear the staff are true professionals, not someone in training or someone just figuring out how to be a therapist. We will definitely return for additional time in this Spa even if we aren't staying in Manzanita. We'll done Spa Manzanita Team!!
