We talked the entire time and found some things we had in common. Lots of laughter. We even found that I worked at a school in Morocco that her friend's kids currently attend. She custom designed my henna to make it personal to my relationship with my husband. I don't have a car and it was difficult to me to get to Clarksburg for a consultation, so she made things easy for me by face timing with me to discuss the design. We talked over what I wanted to include, what kind of shapes and florals I liked, and she listened and accommodated my requests even if some of my requests were outside her comfort zone. I told her my husband and I love national parks and that he had proposed to me at Acadia National Park in Maine. She created a design that included scenes from national parks on the back of both my forearms. My husband loves paisley so she included paisley designs on my arms and legs. I asked her if she could draw my husband's face on my palm. It was something no other bride has asked her to do and new, but she accommodated my request.
