I was visiting my brother in Seaside from California and decided to take a leap of faith with my…read moresecond tattoo. I had him call The Lucky Dog for a dealer's choice design with a location of my choosing. While slightly nervous because I knew nothing about the artist, I'm here to tell you that Travis is a gifted artist with a enchanting line style and pop doll collection. Nothing about this tattoo was planned and it somehow ended up matching my first tattoo on my chest. I was blown away by the design when I first saw it, and promptly decided to have it placed on my calf. My only regret is that I can't see it; this tattoo was completed in less than two hours and the attention he put into detail on it in that short time span blew my mind. Travis is affordable, personable, and has years of experience doing this. It's a cash only business; I possibly like this better than my first, and I paid a quarter of the price for it (I'm from California.) I'll be coming back and getting another from him next year, without a doubt. Call and make an appointment because he's quite busy, and walk-ins aren't available. I got lucky with a day-before scheduling.

They make sure that you understand everything you need to about getting a tattoo and they help you to make sure that you have all you need to fully enjoy your tattoo. I will not go anywhere else. I have worked with Signe I have plans to have her do my eyebrows and more tattoos on my arms. It is a huge enjoyment to go to the coast and get a tattoo. There's so much to do in town and it's a Pleasant Drive. Astoria is a beautiful city and this makes the entire visit like a mini vacation. You can go anywhere to get a tattoo, but you can't get the experience they offer here no one else has what they have, highly recommend. And yes, I do have a tattoo from a different parlor. this place beats the pants off of them and the other places I have visited.

5 Stars - Incredible Artist & Awesome Experience!…read more Astoria Tattoo is an absolute gem! My fiancé and I both got tattoos here, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The artist was super, super friendly--easy to talk to, made us feel totally comfortable, and really took the time to understand what we wanted. His work is amazing, especially if you're into realism. He has serious talent when it comes to black-and-white realism--the detail and shading in our tattoos is insane. You can tell he's passionate about his craft and really takes pride in his work. I'd 100% go back for my next piece. If you're in Astoria and looking for top-notch work in a chill, welcoming atmosphere, definitely check this place out!

When we picked Astoria as a travel destination last summer, I started looking up places we may want…read moreto visit and top of the list was a tattoo shop. I did a deep dive into their website and Instagram accounts and Keepsake clearly became our top choice. For the record, their explicit support of #BlackLivesMatter sealed the deal. I knew it was a long shot trying to get on one of their artist's calendars only a few weeks prior, although I decided it was worth trying. I e-mailed both Aaron and Russ. I got an automatic reply from Aaron that he was booked out for like six months, however, Russ responded and while he was already fully booked the week we would be there, he offered to put us on a waitlist just in case someone canceled. Fast forward a week, and still a couple weeks before our trip, and Russ reached out to get more information on what we were looking for. Then he proceeded to go out of his way to bump up some local clients to make room for us. It was my honey's second and my more than second tattoo. Both were in "spicy" spots pain-wise--calf for him, inner upper arm for me. Russ is a seasoned artist and it shows through both his professionalism, as well as his ability to make a painful experience as easy as possible. Tattoo safety aside (which they obviously take very seriously), I really appreciated their attention to COVID safety as well, including masking for artists and clients. Both of our pieces have healed beautifully and we would return in a heartbeat. I am hoping that future travel plans can include more time in Astoria and specifically more time at Keepsake Tattoo. I would just plan farther ahead next time!

I highly…read morerecommend you go to a specialized piercer like this shop, because when it comes to tattoo shops, they don't specialize in piercings only tattooing, like Walmart, Claire's or any other store does not specialize in piercings. Those kind of places use the wrong equipment, and is very harmful, but professional piercer like brand X use the correct equipment and know exactly what can be pierced with what anatomy you have so the conclusion here is, it's worth it for your safety and worth the money to. I highly recommend this shop. The atmosphere is very welcoming. There is plenty information for education because you should always get educated on what you want to have pierced.

Brian (obviously the artist) is wonderful, he is super relaxed, he listened to all my silly request (I made plenty) and steered me in the right direction. The above was my review right after my tattoo by Brian. Way to many months have past, and this dumb blond obviously forgot to hit "post review". Anyways, way back when I was showing off my latest tattoo to my family back in the Netherlands my sister got so enthusiastic she booked a flight (May 2017), told me to "please book appointment with Brian" and came over for him to do the same tattoo on her. I feel should explain; for years I've been trying to get my sister her 1st tattoo, and for it to be a sisters one. I showed her many ideas before and usually got a ", not sure", until I came up with a rough draft for a sisters/family design (as to have my family close, having lived overseas and missing them daily), as I showed it to my sister she fell in love with the simple design on paper and said she would love this, Yes! she wanted one too. She wanted me to help her find a good artist in Amsterdam blahblah, moving forward... for myself I found Brian who made my design absolutely gorgeous so when sis saw it she knew she wanted him to ink her as well. She immediately booked her flight and was on her way to not just get her first ink but also visit me ! Yay! This was the best decision ever. It's even better than mine I'll be coming back with some other ideas I have
