I've had to replace the bulb on my TV twice and each time these guys come out to my house and change it on the spot. I'm a single mother of five and can't afford to buy another television at this time. If it wasn't for these guys I would have to lug my TV to a repair shop or pay for pick up and delivery. On the first TV service call Ramon was great. He brought a helper to take the TV off the wall, installed a new circuit board and put it back up when done. Parts were provided by the warranty company (Allstate). When another problem with the TV came up we went thru the warranty company and they sent more parts. 5 Star was assigned by them again to install. Worst customer service ever. Have called multiple times since July 2025 just to get a part number from a previous service. No one answers, can sometimes leave a message or get a recording asking for a remote access number. (?!) No one calls back when you do leave a message. Finally talked to "Jesse" beginning of August who couldn't help me because he didn't have access to records. Never had anyone call me back. A service person came out on 6/21/23 to service our washer, which is under the Lowe's protection plan, and scheduled by Lowe's. This service individual just came in a gave us a lecture on how to do our laundry. He then calibrated the machine and left. A hold ten minutes for his service. We have since called the Five Star Electronics on numerous times and the Lowe's personnel also called this company, to come back out and fix the washer, as it is STILL not working . I would never ever recommend this company and I am seriously think of filling a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. read more

Had 5 Star electonics come look at washing machine. They set re set codes and left. The washing machine need a gear box and lid switch. 5 Star Electronic doesn't know how to work on maytag. Not sure what there able to repair. I had Crown TV and appliances repair washing machine. Please change name to -1 star. Had set up date. No call to confirm appointment no return of call I placed. Diagnose oven range turning off while cooking. Roman provided excellent service especially as repair request came from Cinch Sears Home Warranty. Roman responded as soon as request was received. After first service call, in a very timely manner, he diagnosed several issues and ordered required parts. However, request for parts was delayed. Both Roman and myself contacted Cinch several times and all parts finally receive. Roman promptly returned to install part so hopefully no more problems. He follows up with warrants company to ensure a paper trail. He is excellent and encourage others to use Five Star. read more

I was having issues with my Ice Maker, and filled a claim with my Home warranty. They were easy to work with. Within 2 days Roman was out with a new Ice Maker. He was very polite, and used all of the necessary precautions to keep himself, and my family safe. After 15 minutes he already exchanged the Ice maker. read more

I can't speak for their service, but this review is for their character. We had a problem with our clothes dryer and reached out through Yelp. Through messaging, one of their technicians diagnosed our problem. Instead of making an easy sale to come out and tell me that they couldn't fix it, he directed me to a vendor who could actually fix our problem. I greatly appreciate their expertise to diagnose my novice understanding of my problem, and their character to not take advantage of that naïveté. I've used 5 Star several times in the last few years. All have been a remarkable experience. Yesterday I called to have my dryer repaired. Roman came out at the time I was told, took the dryer apart and rebuilt the wheel assemblies in about 30 minutes. Extremely fair priced. I was referred by Home Depot insurance claims department. My first appointment the tech did not come to my home he asked me over the phone what was wrong with my washer. From that he said he would order new parts (without even seeing the washer) that should've been my first red light. A week went by and I had to call them. They said parts were in and scheduled me another appointment to install but the never showed up. I had to call Home Depot to start a whole new claim. What a hassle. Our washer and dryer are covered under a protection plan, for which we paid a pretty penny, that requires us to use this company for repairs and maintenance. Our dryer is currently on the fritz and a repair person came out last week. He said he didn't know this was a repair call and that he would be back this week with parts. We've not heard from them since even though we've called 6-7 times and left messages. This is similar to our experience the first go around a couple of years ago. I would not recommend these folks as they are not reliable or professional, especially in light of the fact that they haven't even bothered returning any of our numerous messages. If they get around to calling us back, I might revisit this review but until then, my advice is find another company whose owners/employees give a rip about customer service. read more

If you haven't started doing business with them I would take your chances with someone else. I have lots of kids and no stove. It's been over two weeks since our stove went out. It is now Sunday night, day 15. No solution, stove still broken, no parts, no delivery date, no tracking available, I guess I'll call again tomorrow. Ramon is pleasant to deal with, but for the most part when I call, I get Jesse who says he is the owner. He's not pleasant, not helpful, not compassionate, not considerate. So I'm stuck and the only info I have is "the part isn't in yet" (I was told it would be in Wednesday or Thursday of last week) Nobody calls us to give updates and nobody cares that it costs me $40+/meal to eat out with 8 kids. After confirming installation costs and setting up a schedule for the next day, they showed up 30 minutes early! They came to my house and took my very nice and very expensive TV and it has been almost a year now and they can't even find it. It is ironic that this company has 5 stars associated with its name. The problem is no one seems to be able to provide them with more than one star. This speaks volumes to the quality of their work. In my case they did not disappoint. I called inquiring about converting my dryer from a 4 prong to a 3 prong hookup. The person I talked to seemed nice enough told me if I brought the dryer to them he would hunt down the schematic for my dryer so that he could convert it. And he could do the job for only 80.00 all I needed to do was leave the dryer with them a few hours and I could return and pick it up a little later. Something told me to check the internet for a fix and sure enough I found it. No schematic no tracing only a screwdriver and a pair of pliers and I had the job done in 10 minutes. These folks are real scumbags i wouldn't let them change the battery in my smoke detector. The house might burn down! BEWARE!!!! read more

They come to get your tv, tell you a deposit for the parts of around $170-$185 then never do the job. I would recommend Roman's 5 Star Electronics to anyone with a problem with an appliance. He let me know of his availability earlier than scheduled. He was quick, going right to the problem area, on our dryer. He completely disassembled the dryer testing all the leads, found the problem and corrected it, on site. Normally, they say they have to order the part. I was pleasantly surprised when Roman said he would fix it and get us back into operation. The repair person replaced the lid for my dryer today and asked my daughter if I would delete my previous review. No, I will not. They fixed the damage but the damage should not have occurred in the first place. There was no reason to take a hammer to the fan to get the blower off or to dent the lid and attempt to deny it. Also, they forgot they even had us down for an appointment to replace the lid today and had to be called to be reminded. Want better reviews? Provide better service. read more

Although they do close at noon on Saturday, they did wait for me to pick it up at 1:30 pm. These guys are crooks, they don't return calls, they began the work with our dryer and never attempted to repair it, asked them for the estimated time of arrival on the parts that they did not have for the repair they never gave us an answer and told us and refused to tell us if they even ordered it. As a customer I know they should have all those answers because it's on the computer, I don't believe they ordered the parts needed, We waited over 1 1/1 months for these people and they were rude and unprofessional, upon reading their reviews from other's there were around 20 negative reviews and they too had very negative remarks about 5 star electronics, they are crooks as one person remarked, apparently they had the same issues we have, I will not recommend these people to touch anything. they are very bad for service. 1st appointment was with a 5 hour window, didn't show up at all. 2nd appointment they scheduled with Sears, but didn't contact me so I wasn't available. After that it was text and calls....about the part being back ordered. This started in August it is now Oct. The refrigerator is under warranty. Lastly I got a call from Sears saying someone else was doing it; when I called and asked why, they said, 5 Star said they were not able to contact me, which is not true. Don't waste your time with these guys. I have an LG washer that is 90 days old in need of warranty work. I contacted Five Star on July the 1st.These guys are supposed to be the authorized warranty people for this area. I was told by the boss (Randy) that they would order the needed parts before they came to repair it. Supposedly the parts have been in for two weeks now. I have been told several times (by Randy) that they will be here any day now. I have yet to see them ( this is July 25th. now) Randy finally called me and said that they were on their way, but guess what? They never showed up, called or anything!! Still have a broken washing machine. I guess the morale of this story is don't buy an appliance built by TV and phone people or at least don't get a TV repairman to fix it. read more

I dropped off my projector on 7/21/2016 to have a diagnostic test run on it. They told me it would be done by the end of the week and I would get a call back. It took them two weeks to give me a call back and I felt like I had to track them down and do their job. Every single time I called to check up on it, no one knew what the status of my projector was and no one would call me back. Then they tried to tell me that they would have to charge me $50 for the diagnostic test, although their website says that they will perform it without charge. About one month later I got a call saying it was finished and all work had been completed; I then called back the next day to see if it was available to be picked up and I was told that no work was done on it and it hadn't been serviced. Honestly, the level of unprofessionalism is astounding. After about 2 months of playing this cat and mouse game I decided to take my business elsewhere, and sure enough my projector hadn't been worked on. I would not recommend Five Star Electronics at all. read more
