When we arrived, we walked into the shop area and it took a few minutes to be greeted. No big deal, but after we were greeted, some other staff members began to arrive and the individual that greeted us began chatting with them. We stood there for a solid five minutes while they chatted, completely ignoring our presence. It was extremely awkward. In addition to this, not ONE of the staff members was wearing a mask even though there is a statewide mandate. I felt very uncomfortable interacting with them because of this. When we were given our rental bow and arrows, we were escorted outside to the range where we were given kind of a half-a**ed shooting lesson. Though I am pretty experienced with archery, I was there with individuals who were not. I wish that they would have taken a bit more time for the lesson as I feel like I spent 10 minutes afterwards demonstrating for others how to correctly hold the bow and shoot. Once we got past the beginning, the rest of our experience here was great! We had a fun time playing various games with the targets and pretending to 'hunt game' with the fake dinosaurs and other various animals. Overall, this archery range is great for the price if you aren't worried about catching Covid-19 from the staff and you watch a few tutorial videos before stopping by. Pro-Tip: Don't come in the winter like we did! The range is all outdoors so your hands may get a little numb in the winter months of the year. If you do come then, make sure to layer up and bring gloves so you can feel your fingers to shoot!

Who knew you could work on becoming Katniss in Indy's own backyard?…read more This archery facility in Noblesville offers the bows, arrows, instruction and targets for people of any age. The facility itself is new, nice and clean, and boasts lots of parking. It was only $15 total to rent TWO bows, one bucket of arrows, and have an hour of range time. Such a fun afternoon activity. This place is open during the winter, but make sure you bring gloves, as the colder your hands get, the harder it is to release the string! The archery range has practice/beginner targets, foam animal targets, bullseye targets, and long-range targets. There's something here for everyone to come and have a good time - beginners and experts alike. There were also two puppies in the shop that were adorable and only added to the great afternoon.

Yes boots of all sorts & sizes to wear as well :) ! Staff here at The Outdoorsman are the sort of folks that always goes beyond your typical brick & mortar stance, IMHO. You're effectively supporting mom & pop venues from within our Hoosier state. I've asked all sorts of naïve questions. Let's say I now appreciate a thing called Arrowsmiths. There's a little bit of everything here. From the wonderful "YETI" brands (worth every penny) to the must haves & why nots. Beginning with the avid archer tidbits & upstairs range to various hunting blinds, a bonanza of fishing poles/lures if a peaceful catch suits your boat, very nice heavy duty safes to keep your guns/amino properly secure, outfits for all outdoor activities to attaining your appropriate Indiana licenses so the DNR folks stay happy. Don't let their size fool ya, it's way way way bigger on the inside. Plus there's a upstairs for kids, women, & men to practice their passion in archery. What? Yes it's quite fabulous. I'm not as versed in the outdoor hunting activities primarily due to those pesky ticks/fleas (super yuck)-no worries...this place will set a novice up. Alls ya gotta do is ask kindly to the staff. Thermacell will help with mosquitoes & it's here too! Staff here are eager to help direct you for your outdoor extracurricular activities! They are vigilant about their craft & help guide you in the direction you'll need! Come wonder towards Greenwood, ya never know...ya might find something fun.

What used to really make this place a must visit was that along with the above mentioned items for sale here, you can also shop for all those knives for sale on QVC late at night, archery equipment, tag you deer and buy guns which really doesn't sound like a good idea at a mini-mart spitting distance from I-65. With my heart set on checking out that SWEET Hi-Point pistol I saw here this time last year, my dreams were dashed with not being able to gas up my car, vent my bladder and buy a handgun all at the same time. Sadly, this scratches off a star in my review, but don't let this stop you from visiting Arrows III when passing through Lafayette Indiana.

The hunting/fishing/range concept seems like an awkward add on. This is a strange hybrid of a gas/convenience store and an outdoor store and they don't do either well. The ammo selection was pathetic. There was very loud music playing in the store and the outdoor section supervisor provided absolutely no help, not even a nod or grunt. This may be one of those "locals only" hangouts. I won't be back.
