Excellent first-time class. Safe, professional, and fun…read more I took the Introduction to Handgun class with my best friend and his fiancée, and all three of us came away impressed. We came in with very different backgrounds. I'm in the National Guard, his fiancée has handled firearms before, and my best friend had never held a gun. Dan's instruction worked for every one of us. The classroom session covered the fundamentals clearly: safety, how the handgun functions, loading and unloading, grip, stance, sight picture, and trigger control. My friend said he felt completely safe and comfortable the whole time, which is exactly what you want from a first experience. Dan was patient, explained the "why" behind each rule, and never made anyone feel rushed or out of place. What stood out most to me was the professionalism. A father and his young daughter were also in our class, and the range ran smoothly and safely from start to finish. That says a lot about how well the material is taught and how closely Dan supervises the line. For $69, with the .22 training handguns, 50 rounds, eye and ear protection, and a target all included, it's a great value. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a safe, well-run introduction to handguns, whether you're brand new or just want a solid refresher on the fundamentals

I came in as a domestic violence survivor, carrying more than just a firearm, I was carrying history. I had been holding onto a gun from my past that no longer represented who I am or where I'm going. I knew I didn't want to leave with something that felt like it was hindering me. Brian was calm, patient, and deeply understanding throughout the entire process. He never rushed me. He listened. He answered every question thoroughly. He created a safe, respectful environment for me to make a decision that felt aligned with my future, not my trauma. This wasn't just a purchase. It was a transition. And Brian helped me select something that represents protection, peace, and a better chapter ahead. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely respectful team, Indy Arms Co. is the place to go. The level of care, expertise, and respect I received made the experience more valuable than just the purchase itself. The whole team is solid.

The course instructor, Jeremiah, is a true subject matter expert who has mastered the skills and techniques he teaches. He has boundless energy and enthusiasm for teaching and does a great job of instructing and coaching. Jeremiah is very dedicated to assuring his students fix what's not working and make continuous improvement. Despite the fact he's very good at pistol handling and shooting, he doesn't leave his students feeling inferior. Much of the training involves safety, drawing the weapon from the holster, dry firing, and then live fire after which Jeremiah analyzes each student's target results for corrective action. I highly recommend training with Jeremiah at Panther Ridge. It's a tremendous value and if students approach the course with the right attitude and practice what they are shown, improvement in pistol handling and shooting is guaranteed.
