Safety is paramount with each lane having a Bullet Bunker. Each Bullet Bunker is 4X4 feet and made of 1/2" Armored (AR) Steel. This serves as our Primary bullet trap. The secondary protection is clean sand fill behind the bunkers. The final protection is a berm bunker 7 feet thick, 36 feet long and 9 feet tall inpenetrable wall of sand filled semi truck tires. Neither of us is really 'into' guns, but we had some ammo left over from a firearm safety course we took a few weeks ago, and this seemed a fun way to use it up. The staff was friendly and very helpful, especially for a pair of novices like us. Also, the prices are reasonable. You can even rent a firearm if you don't have your own. My one complaint is that the range wasn't carpeted -- a somewhat more important concern than it may seem. First, carpeting would add just a little more sound dampening to the shooting rage, and every little bit helps. Second, the spent bullet casings were all over the floor; and on hard concrete, they roll, ping, and even slide around. Not a big concern, but something worth paying attention to. But let's face it, if you go to a gun range and your biggest concern is slipping on a stray shell, they're clearly doing something right!

He then stated my wife wasnt holding her gun correctly and was going to show her how to hold a gun. He moved towards her and I stepped in between them. I told him to go back to his area to watch the range. My wife was holding her gun correctly as she was knocking out the bullseye. She is very attractive and I feel this was a pervy way to get close to her. Very weird man. I also heard him on the speaker phone with a customer inquiring about the range. He talked very indignant to the customer. The range is nice but this employee on 10/30/24 around noon made the whole experience bad.

There's a separate counter, well marked, to check in for a lane. If you're a first timer, you'll need to sign a Liability Waiver (valid for 12 months) that will cost you $5. The waiver is transferable to Greenwood, Merriville and Indy North Shoot Point Blanks stores. They offer handguns ($10), long guns ($15), and specialty gun ($25) rentals. Range Time is $14 per 1/2 hour and $20 per hour. Add one additional shooter per lane for $10. You'll find Weekday Specials such as lunch time (11a - 2p) for $10 for a 1/2 hour. There are ladies, seniors, Family Day (2 shooters), police/military and date night specials. Check them out. The 25 yard lanes are separated into two areas, the Red and Orange Lanes. You must have eye and ear protection in order to enter the range (available to rent). The lanes are nice with 6 foot tables in the back to reload and grab items in your bags. Each lane has a coat hook as well as target clamps on the outside of the lane. The shooter's ledge is wide enough to hold your guns and at a comfortable height. Lanes are clean and a Range Safety Officer is physically in the lane area for questions and to enforce Safety Rules. We spent a quick hour practicing with several different types of guns. It is amazing how quickly an hour goes when you're at the range, especially if you have two shooters on a lane. All types of training (in-house and on-line) classes are available from beginner's to accuracy mastery. The trainers are experienced and professionals for each class offered and the monthly class schedule is online. We did check out a few guns before we left. Each Shoot Point Blank has over 500 guns (handguns and long guns) in stock as well as ammo, storage and firearm accessories. If they don't have what you want, they will order for you. We had a great time and the employees were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Shoot Point Blank doesn't replace our main shooting range in Avon but it is a very nice range and we'll be back sometime soon.

The property was laid out nicely with paved walking and golf cart trails. The staff was very knowledgeable on the guns they offered, they also had a HUGE selection of shotguns, hand guns, and a few rifles both new and used. Although most of what they offered was out of my price range, they were cheaper than many other gun stores I've been to. I would highly recommend you stop by for a fun filled afternoon and shoot some clay pigeons.

I see some 1 or 2 star reviews and I have to wonder who these people talked to. It could be the night staff that I don't know about since I normally shoot during the day time. When the range sold we were apprehensive what the new owner would be like. He's a great guy. I would like to suggest that anyone that had a "bad" time - give it another shot - call and talk to Yan or Bill or Mark (Mark talks low so he's hard to hear at times but he KNOWS guns). They are very safety conscious there and that's really one of the most important things.
