Staff is super polite and rental options are pretty great (fun stuff :D), but cramped conditions on the range. If you're shooting alone it's a nice clean place, but I brought a group of 4 in two lanes and it was *close* - so maybe bring a date ;) instead of a bunch of dudes. You can't load mags behind the line so you're all up in each other's space and there's no storage under the tables like at some other locations. read more

I just signed up for the Premier Membership prior to ever visiting the store/range purely based on their reviews online. I was not disappointed! The store is clean and well-stocked with lots of gear on offer. The staff was polite and helpful. They answered all of our questions and got us going rather quickly. With this being my first visit to a range in years and my fiancé's first ever visit to a range, I was really hoping for an incredible experience and Range USA Indy North definitely delivered. We brought with us our own handguns (3) and brought additional ammo at the store along with ear and eye protection. With my membership, I received a free gift, which was a Range USA bag. All of our gear fit inside perfectly. I only purchased one membership because it comes with the option to bring a free guest on every visit. This is perfect for us now, but I have a feeling that someone may want their own membership when their desire to go shooting outweighs my own, which I know will happen! Good thing he has a birthday coming up! There is a safety officer on the range at all times who can answer questions and assist you as well. Near the end of our visit, some police officers came in to practice as well. Even they had questions about sights and other equipment that they weren't familiar with. The well-lit range offered an experience unlike any other range that I've visited. They usually aren't very spacious and dark, which makes you feel like you're doing something you shouldn't be doing. The area is inviting and bright, which makes you feel comfortable to ask questions and improve your skills. Honestly these range USA chain stores are nice places but just far too expensive. Everything is typically over value on price and can be found cheaper elsewhere. They charge $100 on ffl transfers which is nearly triple the market rate currently. Competitors in the area charge $30-40. It's not terrible if you're in a pinch and need a place to shoot at but if you can id venture elsewhere and save some money. read more

After considering shipping and FFL fees when buying online, Range USA is actually about the same for guns. Meaning, just buy from them locally. That's unusual for retail gun stores now-a-days. Also, they have some WICKED amazing ammo deals a few times a year. They're thorough with paperwork which is good if you don't want to accidentally break the law when buying a gun. read more

We stopped here before they opened at 10 am on Saturday and there were quite a few cars in the lot waiting. There is a member line to check in or you can go around to the far side to check in if you are looking for range time. You have to fill out the electronic waiver on the iPad and enter your driver license number if you haven't been before. They then scan your license at the counter. Ed ended up ringing us up and we only needed to purchase targets and it's a better deal to buy four if you need them. He was super friendly! We did one hour range time. Make sure to put your eye and ear protective wear on before entering the range and going to you assigned range lane. Very clean and well stocked shop! read more

It was a fun night of shooting Friday evening and surprisingly, not busy, but it was still early. It's always an enjoyable time stepping in there to do some shooting. I am still not used to the new name, as it was just Point Blank when I first started there. I have to say probably the most thankless job in there is the RSO, as they have to communicate, reiterate, and enforce the rules that are on the website, the doors to the range, and even the rules on the walls inside the range that people don't think apply to them. Rose(pretty sure that was here name) did a great job explaining to a shooter that was doing a little too fast rapid firing. It wasn't just don't do this, but rather explained the rationale. She was doing the "caged lion" pace of the lanes that had shooters to make sure everything was safe. I am partial to this location as a former part-time employee, and also instructor and feels good to go in and see the emphasis on safety out on the lanes. I placed an order online to be picked up at the store. I changed my mind went to cancel my order. They will charge me 25% of the value of the gun to "restock' it. Keep in mind I never received the gun, picked it up, did a background check, nothing. The gun was already at the store it wasn't shipped there or anything. I told the manager that if that is the way they treat people I'm going to cancel my membership. Keep in mind my membership and ammo purchases are in the thousands of dollars a year and they want to stick it to me for changing my mind $100 bucks. A gun I never received that was already in stock at the store. I've canceled a gun order at Sports Academy prior to pick-up they canceled the order refunded my money with one click. When I informed the manager that I would cancel my membership his response was "FINE" That is very short sighted business philosophy. I checked the order screen online and it isn't clearly stated you have to click on highlighted text and get a secondary screen to pop up to read the policy stating the 25% restock fee very disceptive. When I told him this just doesn't make any sense the manager just starting saying policy over and over again like a robot then he started to shake with anger and refused to process my cancelization not because he couldn't but no longer wanted to. It's no wonder this place is empty everytime I visit. How can you stay in business when you treat people like this. I'll never purchase a gun, ammo, targets from Range USA again. read more

Excellent place to shoot. Went shooting for the first time ever and the process was pretty simple. You can rent different types of guns on the same tab, which is a plus. You aren't stuck shooting the same gun the whole hour or two. All in all, would recommend. read more

Paid with cash, marked the bill with their marker, which was contaminated. Treated us like criminals as they tried to figure out their own incompetence on this issue. They have ticky-tack rules on the range, such as not allowed to load magazines outside of the stall. I prefer to load mags outside of the stall, so I can get a view of other patrons to ensure that everyone is operating safely. RSO approached me and said that i was 3 minutes past my time, but in reality had 3 minutes of range time left. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

My sister in law was denied access to the shooting range because the worker said she was pregnant and wouldn't be allowed in. She had a baby 4 months ago and still looked kinda pregnant, they refused access even after explaining. Rude workers for sure. Hard pass on this one if you like to be treated with respect. read more

I see management somehow got my last Yelp review removed from their listing, so I'm posting it again... Range USA's Indy North (Carmel) location is a great place to shoot, but a horrible place to do business. I recently won a Sig Sauer P229 Scorpion ($1,250MSRP) in a contest, but wanted to size-down to a P365-XL for better concealability so I thought I'd trade-down for a reasonable loss. The Range's rep gave me a lowball offer of $400 saying "that's our formula." It was insulting, so to keep from getting mad I just laughed and walked out. Offering $400 in TRADE for a new $1250 weapon is formula for one thing only: Losing my business. read more

I don't typically leave reviews for places but this last visit was so comically upsetting that I felt the need to express my concerns. First off, I can completely understand that inventory may be short due to everything currently going on, but 2 and a half months and still hardly any ammo or things to choose from or at least put on hold for us is a little ridiculous. Secondly, rules were thrown and rudely boasted at us that were not originally told to us (even the first few times I shot at this range...) and apparently "supposed" to be told to us, before we even originally paid for the lane that we were shooting in. But alas, the lane was already paid for and we were already stuck with it, so not being able to shoot with the shotgun that we had brought in, and not being able to buy the "proper" ammo for it due to lack of ammo, made us result to buying and wasting even more money... to buy more 9mm ammo, so that we could use the full 30 minutes that we originally paid for. As we went out to buy the 9mm ammo, we asked if the spectator could watch our stuff, while we both had to go out and show ID for the purchase. Rather than just giving us the peace of mind, and agreeing to do so... and doing the one thing he was in there to do anyway... He decided to go off and say "oh, no ones going to take it, it'll be fine." Rules that were given to us, such as "shooting too fast" didn't seem to apply to other shooters, who were not only shooting faster, but shooting much heavier artillery than us, simply didn't seem to receive the same treatment that we were. Nor were any of these rules posted anywhere, they were still not told to us when we originally bought the lane. After the continued unnecessary things that we kept having to deal with, we just decided to pack up and leave. The experience overall was distasteful and left me quite disappointed, as this is the closest and one of the ranges I prefer the most... and I just simply don't see any reason, nor' any desire to go back to this range. It was a waste of money, a waste of time, and a definite headache to deal with. read more

Nice folks at the store location. However, corporate administration is a mess. I drove to use my membership for some range time and I was turned away as they "lost" my paid membership. Rectifying the situation was my responsibility and involved providing all my information (including credit card information that was used in payment) to "find" my paid membership. This facility is very clean. Prices on some handguns may be around 50-75 dollars over what you can get online, but with the level of service you get here, coupled with their clean and well lit showroom, makes it worth the little extra. The shooting range is very nice and up to date with the most modern standard setup for target placement and retrieval. Overall I enjoy my trips to Shoot Point Blank Indy North, have purchased multiple firearms here, and used the range both on weekends and on lunch break many times. I was told I was underage by the staff to shoot, had to get another staff member to read my id to tell me it was okay. After waiting for the better part of half an hour, I then proceeded to have the worst customer experience I've ever had in a store. I was told by the rso that he "wouldnt be cleaning my lane for me" and was also told to slow my rate of fire. If you actually care about the second amendment, take your money elsewhere. read more

Would never recommend going here. Low vibration energy, the staff Lacking enthusiasm and mindfulness.. I went in here with my fiancé for her to purchase her first hand gun. I pointed out a few with brief review on each one and she ended up liking an sd40 and presumed to fill out paper work.. ( keep in mind I'm a 5ft 11in stocky build, very professional and come from a military household) my fiancé paid for almost the entire gun and she ended up being delayed in the background check (suspect) the 11 days passed by and it was still "delayed" an month and a half went by and they still would not complete the purchasing process. They ended up telling her she has to reapply.. these staff members are unprofessional and rude. And lack proper training on how to gauge a threat in the field. Bought range passes for my son and when he went to use them they refused to honor them. He was told they were expired. Plus - the guy was a jerk off about the whole situation. Unlike many other older ranges and shops, it is clean, organized, and has a wonderful staff. Point Blank caters to a diverse crowd of shooters. From the ultra-experienced shooter to the non-gun-owing novice, everyone will enjoy this establishment. Experienced shooters know that gun shops and ranges can be intimidating. Whether from a know-it-all staff member or another shooter's unsafe practices, some firearm purchasing and training experiences are far from exceptional. Point Blank provides a friendly, informative, and safety conscious staff. I harp on safety because it's important. Prior to a customer's initial entry to the modern, 25-yard, multi-lane range, he or she will watch a brief video on gun safety and Point's Blank's policies. Once the customer enters shooting area, range officers will be on patrol - ensuring customer safety and offering friendly advice (if needed). Customers are welcome to shoot handguns, shotguns (slugs only), and most rifles. Myriad training classes are available on a weekly basis. While I have not purchased a firearm from Point Blank, I can attest to their great selection and fairly reasonable prices. The shop carries high-quality firearms from reputable manufacturers. you can also find plenty of Class III items in the store - so, if you want a suppressor for your new Daniel Defense AR-15, you needn't look any further. Point Blank has an impressive selection of ammunition and other accessories. Again, the prices are fair, but since the customer can bring his or her own ammunition to the range, there is no pressure to purchase it from the shop. My first time shooting a gun?! I will be back! The staff at shoot point blank was amazing. They gave us an entire training session, hands on and made sure we felt comfortable with every thing we were doing. By the end, we payed for more range time and more amo because we had such a blast. We went on Friday, which was $15 for an hour in the range for 2 of you as a Date night special. This was a great deal, but the with renting everything else, it came out around $100 for 2 people for 2 hours. We had a blast and I will most definitely come again! read more

My family was doing a staycation and decided to try a different activity each day. We decided on a shooting range for one of the activities and I brought up that a new one just opened up in Carmel called Point Blank. I've been shooting before and I've been to roughly 10 different indoor ranges and I have to say...this one is GREAT. It could be because it is brand new and with time it will look like any other range, but right now it feels like what a shooting range should feel like in upscale Carmel. We used 4 Groupons for a pretty good deal to get 4 lanes, 4 rentals, a couple boxes of ammo and some targets. Everyone started off with handguns and had fun. I had shot handguns for a while, but never super cool rifles like they had hanging in the lobby ready to be rented. I asked the range officer if we can swap out guns and get a rifle and they said sure. You can see by the video below, the type of rifle I got and it was a blast (no pun intended). I had never shot an assault style rifle before and it was an awesome experience. If you are a seasoned shooter or a complete newbie, I recommend this range. Very friendly staff, helpful instructions if you are new and a world-class facility to release some steam, improve your accuracy, or just plain learn how to handle a gun. read more

Have been here twice so far, the first time to just look around the second time to shoot. Really nice indoor range and the staff has been great the two times I've been. They answered my questions and were very helpful. The day I went to shoot was pretty busy as was the first time I visited. Checking in can take a bit but not too bad. Upon entering the range I went to my assigned bay and had a good time. Targets are $1 which is reasonable. I didn't ask if I could bring my own but I thought they had a good selection of targets to pick from. The store is really well stocked and the prices seemed fairly reasonable. I ended up buying a new pistol so I'm looking forward to shooting here more. The prices seem to be pretty reasonable based on my research of other area gun ranges. Look's like this will be a popular destination and I saw a lot of women and kids shooting so it looks to be fairly family friendly. read more

I recently placed an order with Shoot Point Blank. I received confirmation that it would arrive 14-21 days after purchase. It has been 4 weeks now and I haven't heard anything from them regarding a status update. I have reached out three times asking for an update. I used their ticketing system twice and literally didn't get a response beyond the automated "We've received your ticket..." response you get when you submit your ticket. Additionally I called the store. The person I spoke with rushed me off the phone, wouldn't look up my order and told me to be patient. This is extremely frustrating because I have paid for something I don't yet have. I have followed their process to request help with no response. After I get my merchandise I will not be purchasing from them again and wouldn't recommend them in good conscious to anyone who expects any kind of customer service. read more

I started out today calling 5 total firearm retailers and asking them the same question. "Do you have any used .380s in stock?" If they answered yes, I asked "Could you give me a quick rundown of them?". 1. Hoosier Armory - Responded I should look online and that the online store is always up to date. He also said he didn't have any .380s....The online store however had multiple. 2. KS & E Sports - Responded to first question with yes. Second question he "hell I don't know they come and they go." and hung up. 3. Cabelas - Transferred to firearm department, waited on hold for 15 minutes, gave up. 4. Tim's Shoot Academy - Put on hold. After second person answered I asked the first question, he laughed and said you have to be kidding. Hung up. 5. Shoot Point Blank in Carmel - Said yes, I believe we do, but let me get over there and check (not begrudgingly, didn't seem bothered at all). He took the phone with him and started listing off every used 380 he had. They happened to have the one I was looking for, but at this point I was going to buy a gun from them regardless. David was the guy on the phone and destroyed the customer service competition today. Everyone I talked to in the store was friendly. I got a free range pass with purchase. The price was fantastic. The real kicker - no one tried to sell me a membership or up-sell me on the firearm. Not once. I was in and out of the shop in less than 45 minutes. I've spent 7 hours at Cabela's buying a firearm at one point. Fantastic experience. Highly recommended. Will be returning for my next purchase. Thanks to the staff and David in particular. read more

Let me start by saying that gun safety comes first (which btw is strictly enforced here). That said, this place ROCKS!!!! Not only is this a gun store but also a shooting range. They offer different types of classes and have rentals so you can decide on a firearm you've been looking at. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable so you'll certainly feel at ease. Lastly, if they have a firearm you want but at a higher price than some other store, Point Blank will price match as long as the other store is local. Let me start by prefacing this review. I used to work at a state of the art gun facility in Scottsdale, Arizona for almost two years and had been shooting at that same range since I was 14. I know the ins and out of the industry and appreciate it greatly when fellow gun enthusiasts/range employees/salesmen treat me with respect regardless of what it looks like I may know as a 25 year old female. Walking into Point Blank was very pleasant...open floor plan with a great amount of inventory. I was greeted at the door by a friendly salesman. I head to the back of the line to get on the range. My cashier ends up being an older gentleman. I tell him I'd like one for the range please. He chuckles to himself and says "one for the range...but there are two different sides long gun or hand gun". As he continues to ramble on trying to inform me of the difference between a handgun and a long gun, I tell him "I'm shooting a handgun"...but he doesn't hear me. I tell him again and he finally hears me. I could have been a smart ass and asked him what collapsible stock AR was going to fit in my purse but I decided to refrain from attitude and just proceed with ultimate politeness of "yes sir and no sirs. So as I hand him my id, he still has attitude and tells me if it's my first time here, I have to watch the safety video. Perfectly fine. I watch it as he places my info in the system. It was taking a while and when he came back to speak to me, he snapped, asking "well do you need targets?" I had targets in my hand already. I'm about over it at this point but I tell him I would also like eyes, ears (glasses and earplugs) and 3 boxes of nine (9 mm). Now he is the one who is lost, trying to decipher what jargon I was just speaking and had to repeat it back to me twice before he got it. I start asking him the difference in price between the ammo he chose for me and the Blazer that he left behind on the shelf. Now he was starting to understand that I'm not some normal female walking into his range. I understand things. As he is adding my items into the system for checkout, I begin to ask him about memberships; now he gets super friendly. I'm giggling because I know at my old job, we fought to get those memberships and there was often bonuses and commission in it for us. I get directly on a lane which is great for a Sunday afternoon! Here is my final point. Why on earth are firearms allowed to be uncashed way behind the firing line. I felt like I had to check my 6 the whole time I was out there. Everyone was carrying guns from the back bench to the firing line and back again. I was honestly losing my sh**. Firstly, not everyone is as safe with firearms as they need to be. Secondly, I saw at least five muzzles that were pointed in directions that they weren't supposed to be. Other than that, the target moved forward and backward flawlessly which is a plus. The RSO (range safety officer) was on his phone some of the time (clearly he could have been helping people point their firearms in a safe direction). I plan to return and maybe give them a second chance since I am now living in Indy. The customer service aspect I can get over. The gun safety aspect...I'm not sure of. read more

We decided to take a beginners gun class for our 8th wedding anniversary. The class was 4 hours long. The classroom setting was interesting. I learned some useful information to apply. If you're tired, I recommend you not to take this class in the evening because you're required to sit for a while & intake a ton of information. Plan wisely! Once the information was given, we were able to apply the skills in the range. I am a person who doesn't like guns. I didn't realize how traumatized I was of guns until we entered the range. This is not the place for someone who has recently suffered from PTSD or has experienced any trauma with guns. I was able to push through it but I was very emotional. For 30 minutes I had to refrain myself from crying. Like I said, I didn't know how traumatized I was until we entered the gun range. My husband informed me that it only sounds/feels like that because were in a closed space. It wouldn't sound like that shooting outdoors. Safety is a priority at Point Blank & I appreciate that. The instructor was very informative & helpful in the classroom & in the range. He encouraged everyone & truly helped me calm my nerves. He could tell I was struggling. Will I go again? YES! I went in on a Monday evening after work. There wasn't any other customers in the store, and I was greeted by all three employees. One store leader by the name of Sean, came over and introduced himself to me and gave me the best customer service I've received in a while. I had a particular gun in mind that I wanted to purchase but he took the time to educate me on a variety of handguns that also could provide the same comfort. He made sure I felt comfortable holding the gun and even recommended I try some test shots to make sure this was the perfect item for me. I felt so much more confident after our conversation.
