I wanted to come back and update my experience and recognize when a place really steps things up. I've had a couple of not-so-great visits in the past, but my last visit was a completely different story. First off, the service is absolutely terrific--attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. It made a huge difference and really sets the tone for the meal. The burgers deserve special mention. Few fun and different options to choose. They were cooked perfectly, juicy, and packed with flavor--exactly what you want when you're craving a solid, satisfying burger. You can tell there's attention to consistency and quality. What stood out just as much is that management clearly listens. It feels like they take customer feedback seriously and are making a real effort to improve and make things right, which goes a long way. Cute place in downtown Sayville. Friends chose to here to meet for lunch. Drove 20 from 22 miles away. Service was good. Menu is nothing special. Salads, wraps and burgers. The Mexican Street corn shrimp appetizer was unique and delicious. Nacho platter had cheese sauce not real melted cheese. To me it's just not the same without real cheese. I had the Downtown salad which features feta, cranberries, roasted tomatoes, grilled chicken and balsamic. It was more lettuce than anything else. Definitely could have used more feta and cranberry. Not enough chicken. But it was very tasty. Beautiful day in November they had the front wide open. Outdoor dining was full so we ate inside. Looks like a great place to have drinks and listen to live music. I enjoyed our time here, but nothing special to bring me back from so far away. I love this place! Cozy atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food. We ordered the fried pickles which were extremely flavorful and crunchy. My toddler got French fries which came out quickly and were well seasoned and crispy. My husband got a Turkey burger with sweet potato fries - the burger was well seasoned and the sweet potato fries were well cooked and crispy. Haven't been here in a while but always loved it. Stopped in for dinner with 3 kids and my boyfriend. First off they had live music which wasn't bad but it was SO so loud. This is 6pm and a small space, I legitimately couldn't have enjoyed my food even if it was good because it gave me so much anxiety. We Ordered salmon and the asparagus smelled like gas from the stove and completely killed my appetite - no flavor at all with the hot honey sauce. Inside has tables or you could sit along the bar. They have a decent size menu. Anywhere from appetizers to salads, sandwiches, wraps, etc.. I am massively disappointed in Five Points Cafe. To start, I give them the two stars for the music games they have going on. Tonight they were doing song bingo. It's a fun way to interact with people. We have passed by many times before and see different music games happening and it's always looked really nice. I won't return though because both the food and drink were terrible. I ordered a watermelon cosmo and a steak sandwich on the gluten free bun. The cosmo tasted purely artificial and the morsel of watermelon on a skewer atop it was disgustingly old tasting. The steak sandwich was no better. Why ask how the patron wants it cook if it's going to come out so well done it's gray? The meat was so tough I literally couldn't bite most pieces and got a huge chunk of fat. Attempting to eat this sandwich was practically embarrassing and I eventually gave up and just ate the $3 gluten free bun. No stars! I was treated so horribly at this place the Friday night manager spoke to me in the most disgusting way. I told them that the brussels sprouts were raw. I may have read it wrong on their menu, but I did not like it. They refused to take it off the bill saying that it was 2024 and people are trying to make money. They have a nice clean dibing area with helpful staff. outdoor dining is available both sheltered and open, whichever you and the weather prefer. They have live entertainment nightly. Mostly folk music from local artists. Would rate hire but the management doesnt seem to understand that, as a small space, having overly loud music makes it absolutely impossible to order a meal, have any type of conversation, or enjoy your meal. Especially on Thursday nights when they have some guy who must be totally deaf playing a freaking trumpet full blast in a room that truly measures 20 by 20 feet. I've never been really impressed with the food, but the location is nice with some decent outdoor seating options so we gave it another try today. Today started off rough, 20+ minutes after sitting before a waitress came over (was not busy), no soap in the bathroom, hand dryer didn't work, & the food really wasn't anything to write home about. The burger was alright, relatively small patty buried under tomato and onion on a bun twice it's size. The fries were the best thing about the meal today. The wrap was alright (better than the burger in my opinion) but for almost $15 I expected a little bit more. Overall, I will be in no rush to come back. This place has some of the most creative burgers i have ever tried. The new flavors of the week and month are usually very original. The inside is great at night. We actually prefer the bar to the tables since the bartenders are usually engaging. The best however is the outside when they have live music.
