We were recommended to children's dentistry by our neighbors. Once you walk in, you are greeted then the lobby/waiting area is a kids dream. There's a castle and then an arcade as well. It took awhile trying to get our son back to the room because he just wanted to play. The dentist we saw was so sweet and my son is nervous around doctors so it was refreshing how slow they take things and they don't rush or force the little ones. It was definitely a refreshing visit from our last dentist experience. And I would recommend Children's Dentistry. We had a great experience and it was almost impossible to get our son to leave. He went back to the castle to play immediately after we were done with his appointment.

He has always communicated well, respected choices relating to care, and had excellent patient education and encouragement to my kids to keep up with dental hygiene. Even though we moved pretty far away, we still make the trek to see Dr. Sean. We think he is the best there is. The practice and hygienists have always been top-notch as well.

They use language that truly resonates with children--during the fluoride treatment, they told my kids they were adding "sparkles" to their teeth, and both kids eagerly opened their mouths, thrilled to get their sparkles! I can't recommend Sugarbugs highly enough. If you're looking for personalized, attentive care, this is the place to go. She said last time he told her not to cry because they'd have to start all over. When I asked about that, Strange assured me he'd never say that. Lie number one, the second cavity we heard him tell her not to cry. Lie number two, he told her he'd just give her a little squirt upon entering her mouth, instead he gave a shot. Due to her medical trauma, we explained the importance of trust and transparency. He failed on those two fronts. Does he believe tricking your child is the best approach? He treated our child like an annoyance. Tears were coming down her face and not once did he do anything to give her any emotional comfort, just his standard don't cry. She was scheduled for three cavities, he did one and said come back for the others. Come on man, kids are going to struggle and cry. If you can't handle that, go work on adults. She lost her trust in him and now we have to find somewhere else to finish the other two. We gave very specific instruction on how she best operates and he didn't abide by it. He even said it makes him sad she doesn't trust him. One, that's on you for not earning trust. Two, don't make this about how you feel, totally inappropriate. Trust is not his strong suit, which is scary to hand your child off to.

The setup they have due to covid is wonderfully organized. You have to arrive 15 mins early and stay in your car till the previous patient is not in the same area as you. They scan you for your temperature upon entry. Sad part was that only one parent was allowed. I'm sure it was for the better cause I was already riddled with fear. Thankfully the staff and dentist was kind enough to let me FaceTime while I sat outside. The staff was kind enough to walk my husband through the steps, provide information on dental hygiene at our daughters age and get them setup in a room for the dentist to arrive. Dr. Bryan was our dentist. He was super friendly to introduce himself to my husband and me over the phone haha. Answered all our questions and really took the time to talk to us. He checked our daughters teeth and also did a quick clean. He is strong cause our girl is a fighter haha. He was able to hold her down in a way that wasn't painful or scary as a parent. I'm definitely the type to be like "uhm no, stop please." But she was in good hands. At the end, she got a sample toothbrush, toothpaste and a little toy for her bravery. As a parent, it can be very nerve racking going to any doctors appointment because you worry about your baby. But I'm soooo happy I chose West Metro Pediatric Dentist. I started coming here around June when I knew I had to find a new dentist since I aged out of my…read moreold one many years ago. I have a lot of dental anxiety and have some other disabilities and mental problems, so when I saw a random and for them on YouTube I decided to give them a call. I met with Dr. Shaheen Moezzi (or Dr. Moe for short), who's apparently the guy responsible for them being here in the first place, and he was very understanding of my needs and concerns. And when I told him I also needed to get my wisdom teeth out, he had no problem telling me I could do it under full anesthesia, which they were happy to arrange. He even said they could do the deep cleaning I also needed when they pulled the teeth, so it could all be done in one sitting and I wouldn't have to worry about sitting through another painful procedure (I had one as a kid and trust me, they're not fun). After getting my first appointment rescheduled for today, I went in and they made sure before starting that I was okay with everything and that I'd have people to take care of me afterwards. They even got a kick out of me being dressed in my own scrubs, commenting that I was perfect attire for surgery (which I did on purpose, of course). Then they stuck the IV in my arm and five minutes later (to me at least), I was waking up with a mouth full of gauze to learn it was already over. They called my stepdad to pick me up since it ran a little long (and they did NOT want to send me in a regular cab, since my driver had already come while I was still in surgery and had to leave), but they made sure to send me home with everything I needed to make it as easy on me as possible (including s handful of gloves at my request, which I am very thankful for since I wouldn't like handling blood-soaked gauze bare handed). I can't thank them enough for being so kind, caring and compassionate to me through this whole process, because this was something I had been dreading since I was a teenager. And now that I know it's over with, I don't have to worry about it much anymore. I'm thankful for Dr. Moe, the oral surgeon (whom I already forgot his name), Claudia, and the rest of their team for such a great experience and can't wait to start visiting regularly for my cleanings and routine care. I've only been here twice in the last six months, but I'm already in love with them, and can't stress how much I recommend them enough. This is a great place to bring your kids, or those you care about with special needs (even yourself), if you're looking for a great practice that will listen to you, help you through any anxiety you may have, and explain how they can help. I highly, HIGHLY recommend them.
