First pediatric appointment completed at 19 months. How'd…read moreit go? Just as you would expect. Tears, screaming, kicking and more screaming. The setup they have due to covid is wonderfully organized. You have to arrive 15 mins early and stay in your car till the previous patient is not in the same area as you. They scan you for your temperature upon entry. Sad part was that only one parent was allowed. I'm sure it was for the better cause I was already riddled with fear. Thankfully the staff and dentist was kind enough to let me FaceTime while I sat outside. The staff was kind enough to walk my husband through the steps, provide information on dental hygiene at our daughters age and get them setup in a room for the dentist to arrive. Dr. Bryan was our dentist. He was super friendly to introduce himself to my husband and me over the phone haha. Answered all our questions and really took the time to talk to us. He checked our daughters teeth and also did a quick clean. He is strong cause our girl is a fighter haha. He was able to hold her down in a way that wasn't painful or scary as a parent. I'm definitely the type to be like "uhm no, stop please." But she was in good hands. At the end, she got a sample toothbrush, toothpaste and a little toy for her bravery. As a parent, it can be very nerve racking going to any doctors appointment because you worry about your baby. But I'm soooo happy I chose West Metro Pediatric Dentist. I feel at ease and I know next time I won't be as worried about taking my daughter in by myself haha

The cement on the spacer came off and they wanted to charge a ridiculous amount to fix their own mistake. Not to mention she has already had multiple major gum infections from said spacer. Fast forward a decade. My youngest daughter is in need of some major dental work. I had initially taken her to a local pediatric dentist just out of convenience. What a mistake. They all but traumatized her. Today she saw Dr. Tandi. Despite my daughter's fear, they made her feel safe and welcomed. By the end of the visit she didn't want to leave. She was laughing, joking and loving every minute of her visit. She even asked when she could go back and visit, "the doctor and her monkey(stuffed animal)." I am incredibly protective of my children. I trust this office the doctors and the staff with their care. This is an absolutely incredible and exceptional experience. I can't speak more highly of the staff, environment, and docs.

The dental hygienists go above and beyond to explain each step to both kids and parents, all while maintaining a warm and cheerful attitude. They use language that truly resonates with children--during the fluoride treatment, they told my kids they were adding "sparkles" to their teeth, and both kids eagerly opened their mouths, thrilled to get their sparkles! I can't recommend Sugarbugs highly enough. If you're looking for personalized, attentive care, this is the place to go. We've also had an emergency visit here, and even in that stressful moment, the care we received was nothing short of amazing!

I've been taking my children to this practice for years without any issues. That changed when my…read moreson began orthodontic treatment. His braces have broken multiple times (six to seven, by my count), with brackets falling off just days after being installed on multiple occasions. Dr. Franz has twice blamed my son's eating habits, but I monitor his diet closely. I even watched a bracket pop off while he was eating a french fry. My son has an extreme overbite and it seems the case may be outside her area of expertise. Alyssa and Megan at the front desk have been extremely rude and have accused me of lying. When I asked Alyssa if I could speak with the doctor at her convenience, she lied and told me the doctor would not be in for the next three days. Later in the same conversation, she admitted the doctor was actually in the office. I've never experienced such poor treatment from a service I'm paying for. In fact, I've never been treated so poorly by any organization, period.

The whole process from check in to check out was a breeze and I don't mean quick. She is thorough. From the minute I gave the front desk his name they immediately started to talk to him as though he was the patient (because even though he's only 5, he still is!) and genuinely cared to hear his responses. I loved the decor and the branding. As a Creative myself i can tell she really took the time to utilize her branding as an EXPERIENCE. Upon check in they gave him a basket to carry throughout the whole process. They gave him tokens at each "event" like after he got his Xrays taken... and the after cleaning... so that he would be able to purchase something toward the end of his visit. LOVE THIS. It kept him engaged and worked hard to pay attention and cooperate through the visit (THANK YOUUU) From the X-ray tech treating him as though he was at Disneyland (no joke about that) to their mascot taking a snooze right next to us... to the canoe chairs they lay in... to the TVs they can watch while getting their teeth cleaned... I mean I could seriously go on!! My son thinks this place is a vacation and is begging me to go back Yes, take your little one here even if you have to drive a bit to get here (like I do!) you won't regret it.

After reviewing our Pediatrician's list of recommendations, Yelp and proximity to our house I thought I would give Pediatric Dental Group a shot. Well, it was a good choice! All the staff is super friendly and welcoming. The office was clean and cozy with big red chairs for my 17 month old to climb onto and they had books on the tables to distract her as well. Daisy, the Dental Assistant gave us a tour of the office and what to expect for this visit. This was very helpful because I had no idea what to expect with a toddler visit to the Dentist, especially since I have a hard time brushing her teeth! Lastly, Dr. David Strange arrived introduced himself, walked me through how he will brush her teeth and then do fluoride. Anyway, all in all this is a great office and somewhere I feel like you can trust to bring your kiddos.

My kiddo had been going to Sunrise since her very first visit and had really grown to love…read moreeverybody there. She looked forward to her appointments after years of building trust and familiarity and unfortunately, we have to start that process all over somewhere else in the middle of Covid. Covid has made it hard for everybody and sometimes the unexpected happens but this email is mildly heartbreaking if you're the ones on the chopping block. Just as it states, Their facility is so beautiful, the Dental team is amazing and caring, and they take the latest and greatest approach to pediatric dentistry. All of that is true and if you're not one of the Medicaid patients you'll continue to receive nothing but the very best. That commitment to treat and care for every patient as she would her own child is just going to be for non-medicaid patients. If you can afford to bring your child here then do because they are wonderful. If I could afford to pay out of pocket I would in a heartbeat. I'd have loved to keep my little one here but this email is so unfortunate. It was not written with the thought of how excluded this would make Medicaid families feel. Yes, we are a low-income family but we are every bit as deserving of the amazing care Sunrise describes in this email and will provide to non-Medicaid families. There was a much better way to word this and go about this change in general and that's what's really disappointing. I told my daughter that Dr. Crespi stopped being a dentist altogether rather than explain that she's just not going to be her dentist anymore and she was still upset. Hopefully, we'll be able to find somewhere just as wonderful for low-income families.
