As a new parent it seems like every day you're crossing off the list another "first time for X…read moreactivity." On Friday, my son had his first dentist appointment and all things considered, it went well! Located on the corner of 44th and Tennyson, I've walked by numerous times without a reason to visit. One thing I appreciated right off the bat was that we didn't wait very long. They were on time and accommodating. Dr. Yinger was amazing. Super friendly, nice, and encouraging. Did my son cry? You bet he did, but they were quick and efficient and respectful of it being his first time! They gave us a toothbrush, sample toothpaste, and a toy for the road. Looks like we'll be coming here every six months for the foreseeable future. Definitely recommend Dr. Yinger to any new parents out there!

When I first made my appointment it seems like I had to be insistent on getting an appointment since she hadn't been seen there for several years. I made the appointment but had to change it after waiting about a month about 2 weeks before the appointment I get a call that maybe it would be better if she saw a different dentist. She's 17, still not considered an adult. I would have liked if they would have at least cleaned her teeth before having to go to a new dentist. But I guess that was too much to ask of them.

Fast forward a decade. My youngest daughter is in need of some major dental work. I had initially taken her to a local pediatric dentist just out of convenience. What a mistake. They all but traumatized her. Today she saw Dr. Tandi. Despite my daughter's fear, they made her feel safe and welcomed. By the end of the visit she didn't want to leave. She was laughing, joking and loving every minute of her visit. She even asked when she could go back and visit, "the doctor and her monkey(stuffed animal)." I am incredibly protective of my children. I trust this office the doctors and the staff with their care. This is an absolutely incredible and exceptional experience. I can't speak more highly of the staff, environment, and docs.

The dental hygienists go above and beyond to explain each step to both kids and parents, all while maintaining a warm and cheerful attitude. They use language that truly resonates with children--during the fluoride treatment, they told my kids they were adding "sparkles" to their teeth, and both kids eagerly opened their mouths, thrilled to get their sparkles! I can't recommend Sugarbugs highly enough. If you're looking for personalized, attentive care, this is the place to go. We've also had an emergency visit here, and even in that stressful moment, the care we received was nothing short of amazing!

A very well run children's dental office. Everyone is highly concerned for your child's dental…read moreneeds. It's clean, it's friendly, it's quiet so children can feel relaxed. There's coffee for parents, toys for kids and each dental chair has it's own tv with Netflix so your child can pick their favorite movie. After being brought back to the dental chairs by a friendly assistant, with the welcome for the 'parent' to join their hesitant child, I followed dutifully. After a few minutes my son felt right at home and requested to watch, 'The Walking Dead.' There were two ladies who asked, 'are you sure?' Whatever it takes to relax, is my opinion, although hearing a request for, 'The Exorcist,' would have gotten a hands down, "NO!' My son immediately relaxed and told me to leave. Sitting in the waiting room, I watched the dentist walk out with her young patient after a procedure, and sit down with the parent to discuss everything, and very highly concerned for the child's pain issues; also complimenting bravery as well. Other parents near me were calm and confident in their child's care. As all parents must multi task these days, I was able to handle two business calls while I waited. One call required more decision making, and it was not until I was halfway through my call, that I realized talking with my hands is not polite society, nor speaking loudly. Thanks to the stares from my fellow human beings nearby, and my late mother, who's memory continues to remind me of my manners, my brain thought, 'Merci beau coup,' and I sat on my hands. Then I realized I could not communicate, because of my late father's Brooklyn upbringing, which requires hand gestures during conversation.. So in the world of compromise, I scratched my head. And hopefully nobody assumed there were creatures in my hair. This place is very popular because they are very good. Keep in mind last minute cancellation has a $100.00 cancellation fee. Enough to make everyone remember their appointment.

She said last time he told her not to cry because they'd have to start all over. When I asked about that, Strange assured me he'd never say that. Lie number one, the second cavity we heard him tell her not to cry. Lie number two, he told her he'd just give her a little squirt upon entering her mouth, instead he gave a shot. Due to her medical trauma, we explained the importance of trust and transparency. He failed on those two fronts. Does he believe tricking your child is the best approach? He treated our child like an annoyance. Tears were coming down her face and not once did he do anything to give her any emotional comfort, just his standard don't cry. She was scheduled for three cavities, he did one and said come back for the others. Come on man, kids are going to struggle and cry. If you can't handle that, go work on adults. She lost her trust in him and now we have to find somewhere else to finish the other two. We gave very specific instruction on how she best operates and he didn't abide by it. He even said it makes him sad she doesn't trust him. One, that's on you for not earning trust. Two, don't make this about how you feel, totally inappropriate. Trust is not his strong suit, which is scary to hand your child off to.

Dr Dahler is very friendly, honest and a great dentist. Ive had a few fillings done here and they are about as pleasant as a filling can go. I chipped a front tooth a few years back, and they fit me in a couple days later and fixed it perfectly. Looking in the mirror, I cant even tell it was ever chipped. I have already referred many people to this office and all of them have been very happy. Great dentist with a great team. Saw a negative review about a WiFi inquiry which sounds absurd. Pick up the phone and call the office and they will take great care of you. This isn't a chain or franchise, it's a small practice with great people.
