One thing I appreciated right off the bat was that we didn't wait very long. They were on time and accommodating. Dr. Yinger was amazing. Super friendly, nice, and encouraging. Did my son cry? You bet he did, but they were quick and efficient and respectful of it being his first time! They gave us a toothbrush, sample toothpaste, and a toy for the road. Looks like we'll be coming here every six months for the foreseeable future. Definitely recommend Dr. Yinger to any new parents out there!

After reviewing our Pediatrician's list of recommendations, Yelp and proximity to our house I thought I would give Pediatric Dental Group a shot. Well, it was a good choice! All the staff is super friendly and welcoming. The office was clean and cozy with big red chairs for my 17 month old to climb onto and they had books on the tables to distract her as well. Daisy, the Dental Assistant gave us a tour of the office and what to expect for this visit. This was very helpful because I had no idea what to expect with a toddler visit to the Dentist, especially since I have a hard time brushing her teeth! Lastly, Dr. David Strange arrived introduced himself, walked me through how he will brush her teeth and then do fluoride. I started coming here around June when I knew I had to find a new dentist since I aged out of my…read moreold one many years ago. I have a lot of dental anxiety and have some other disabilities and mental problems, so when I saw a random and for them on YouTube I decided to give them a call. I met with Dr. Shaheen Moezzi (or Dr. Moe for short), who's apparently the guy responsible for them being here in the first place, and he was very understanding of my needs and concerns. And when I told him I also needed to get my wisdom teeth out, he had no problem telling me I could do it under full anesthesia, which they were happy to arrange. He even said they could do the deep cleaning I also needed when they pulled the teeth, so it could all be done in one sitting and I wouldn't have to worry about sitting through another painful procedure (I had one as a kid and trust me, they're not fun). After getting my first appointment rescheduled for today, I went in and they made sure before starting that I was okay with everything and that I'd have people to take care of me afterwards. They even got a kick out of me being dressed in my own scrubs, commenting that I was perfect attire for surgery (which I did on purpose, of course). Then they stuck the IV in my arm and five minutes later (to me at least), I was waking up with a mouth full of gauze to learn it was already over. They called my stepdad to pick me up since it ran a little long (and they did NOT want to send me in a regular cab, since my driver had already come while I was still in surgery and had to leave), but they made sure to send me home with everything I needed to make it as easy on me as possible (including s handful of gloves at my request, which I am very thankful for since I wouldn't like handling blood-soaked gauze bare handed). I can't thank them enough for being so kind, caring and compassionate to me through this whole process, because this was something I had been dreading since I was a teenager. And now that I know it's over with, I don't have to worry about it much anymore. I'm thankful for Dr. Moe, the oral surgeon (whom I already forgot his name), Claudia, and the rest of their team for such a great experience and can't wait to start visiting regularly for my cleanings and routine care. I've only been here twice in the last six months, but I'm already in love with them, and can't stress how much I recommend them enough. This is a great place to bring your kids, or those you care about with special needs (even yourself), if you're looking for a great practice that will listen to you, help you through any anxiety you may have, and explain how they can help. We visited Children's Dentistry of Cherry Creek for that second opinion and were so impressed by EVERYTHING about the office that we returned to our original dentist. There are so many reasons why they are the best pediatric dentist office in Denver - hands down, but here are just a few... 1) The Staff - Every person in that office from the receptionist to the dental assistants to Dr Carlson-Marks herself are kind, helpful and SO GREAT TO THE KIDS as well as the parents. Instead of flashing fake smiles and then seeming mildly irritated by the kids and their parents, the staff here are genuine and engage with your children with kindness, interest and respect. Obviously kids don't love everything that happens to them at the dentist, but instead of just putting a Netflix screen in front of them so that the staff can pretend your kids don't exist, the staff here engage with the kids, get feedback, and help the kids to get through whatever needs to be done with genuine care and consideration. 2) Their Methods - There is an emphasis on prevention here, not on getting you to shell out huge amounts of cash to fix cavities that are just going to keep occurring because the root cause was never addressed. The first thing that happens every time my kids are called back for their appointments here is that they brush their teeth for the dental assistant and are then given tips on what they can do better. Our previous dentist, who charged more than double the price of this office for routine exams, never once in the 3-4 check ups my boys had there ever showed my boys how to properly brush their teeth. 3) Conservative Approach - Dr. Carlson-Marks is perfectly happy to try the wait-and-see approach rather than rushing into drastic procedures for teeth that are going to naturally fall out in the next few years anyway. She's still thorough and will advise when action genuinely needs to be taken, but when she does you can be sure her recommendation is based on what your child needs and not how much money the office will make. 4) Honest and Fair - You won't be charged massive amounts of money when you have to pop in because your kid's tooth is aching or was chipped. If you aren't receiving lengthy treatments, they don't bill you heaps of money just for stopping by the office. And in general, their prices are so reasonable that I almost feel guilty paying so little for such phenomenal care. 5) Appointments and Wait Time - It isn't impossible to get in when dental emergencies strike, and you usually won't be waiting in the lobby an hour after your appointment time. 6) Flexible and Holistic - Whatever your angle (traditional or more conservative/natural approach), they will accommodate you, offer options that work for you, and treat you with respect.
