I have been a long time fan of Five Guys and have eaten at Five Guys all across the country. They stand out with their optimistic and upbeat culture right when you walk in the door. This location lacks that enthusiasm Five Guys is known for. Most of the staff seem unhappy to be there and are hard to engage in simple meaningful conversation. The one exception to this was one time the manager took my order and she was awesome. Five Guys is also known for the quality and freshness of the food. This location delivers 6/10 on the quality and freshness. I can't nail down what it is but it just doesn't taste the same. It's the only one in the area so I keep coming back. They generally do not overfill the fries at this location either. The one time was also when the manager took my order and made sure to top it off Five Guys style.

Best part of my meal

Absolutely a joke came in at 8 o'clock and we were not even greeted we were asked how many patties we had to ask the gentleman 3 times what and he said she wants to know how many patties? He said she is getting ready to close down and she wants to know how many patties before we place the order. The only person doing this job was the male cook. The place was disgusting the tables were dirty there was food smashed on the floor the chairs were pulled out from other tables there was only 5 customers in there and I knew the other 2 from church. The food was cold and unpalatable and they have the audacity to put a tip line on their cash readers who receive as Well as have tip charge on the counter? Tip means to ensure prompt proper service pleasurably pleasurably. The best part of my meal was the Fanta Orange and the ketchup. $33.00 I just got yanked!

I took my order to-go because of the amount of people there at 11:10 AM or so when I arrived...no tables were open. The line moved relatively quickly with the exception of a few people that had no idea what "move along to the front" means when it's standing room only and you're waiting for your food. I got my burger and headed back to the office; it's about an 8-10 min trip. When I got to my desk the bun was so wet (on top and bottom) that my fingers literally went through it. As far as the meat quality and flavor I think it's much better than any other "fast food" burger in the metro. The other components were nice and fresh... Service was stellar considering the volume they were pumping out. I'm guessing there won't be this many people working in their kitchen when the newness factor dies down; or maybe they'll add an additional franchise location here if it doesn't... The prices for drinks and milkshakes seemed kind of high to me...but maybe I'm just cheap. $2.39 and $2.69 for sodas. Had I been able to eat there it might now have seemed that bad...but for one glass full and no opportunity for a refill after leaving it seemed high ($1 large special at McDs right now). $4.49 for a milkshake that looked to be pretty darn small... I didn't realize the fries were ala carte. I was a 5 Guys virgin until today so I wasn't familiar with the drill... I'd already paid for my burger when I realized my mistake. I figured if I tried to correct it and add fries to my order, after the fact, people might riot. ;) So I paid $9+ for a pretty good double-cheeseburger (regular) that basically self-destructed after transit... If I'm doing my math right a bacon cheeseburger, little fries, and a regular drink (plus tax) at 5 Guys would be $15.02. It was a good burger...but I was largely unimpressed... Bacon cheeseburger and tasteless soggy fries.

No signature burgers. You tell them what to put on, so about as basic as it comes and frankly nothing special. Fries are soggy, not seasoned, and taste like eating raw potatoes. Both coworkers I came with said they will not come back. I tried it once, so I can say I ate here. Please go to B-BOP'S next plaza and make yourself happy.

Little Bacon Cheeseburger

I've been a Five Guys fan since I first tried it almost ten years ago. So you can imagine my excitement when I heard WDM was getting one. We wanted to go opening day but didn't want to wait in the huge line so we came back four days later. There was still a line out the door but by only a handful of people. The place was packed, hot, loud, "smokey," and covered in peanut shells. The line area is outlined by boxes of peanuts, bags of potatoes, and boxes of peanut oil. We waited in line for maybe twenty minutes while our daughter entertained herself by picking up peanut shells from the floor and throwing them away (I kid you not). She sure entertained the line with this. You'll notice right away that the prices are higher than other fast food places. But, in my opinion, the quality is worth the price. Something you need to know if you've never been is the "Little Hamburgers" are a single patty while the "Hamburger" has two patties. There are a ton of topping selections and they are free! I got the Little Bacon Cheeseburger with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, and BBQ sauce. It was delicious! My husband had the Cheeseburger fully loaded. He enjoyed his as well. We ordered a plain hot dog for our daughter. At almost $5 it's expensive for sure. Especially when she ate only a couple pieces and the bun. I guess the bun is great. Haha! My husband finished her hot dog and he said it was a really good one. On to the French fries. My family of three can easily share a "Little" fry. I much prefer the Cajun ones but with a young child, we just can't do the spice. So we had to get the plain. The plain are just that, plain. Not my favorite. The secret to containing the fries are to take all the sandwiches out of the bag, lay the bag on its side and tear the bag "open" on the top side. No mess and easy to share. The (women's) bathroom is a large single toilet room. There is a changing table and plenty of room around it. It was a clean bathroom and wasn't smokey. I'm so glad I finally got to have my Five Guys fix after a couple years. I'm sure we'll be back in the future and hope for less of a wait (for our sake).

Just like the last time I had a burger from Five Guys, it was delicious! I hope that they keep at it with the quality and freshness and the flavors! The atmosphere: Lots and lots of people. They told us they sold quite a lot today for opening day. We went at 9:20pm and they close at 10pm tonight. The line was non-stop. People were coming and going. The service: Good service, friendly staff! The Food: Little Bacon Cheeseburger - 4/5 all toppings are free by request. I put lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, onions and mushrooms. Small fries - 4/5 the fries were cooked well and seasoned perfectly. Usually the fries here are hit or miss for me in the other states I've had it, but today was yummy! Bacon Vanilla Milkshake - 4/5 Hubby ordered this and he and his mini me loved it! Would definitely be back again when I'm craving a fresh burger!

By the back door, the stale stench of cigarettes lingers like the last guest at a party nobody remembers throwing. Hardly perfume, but there it is. Some places come with a little baggage. I ordered the Uncle Denny: a smash patty with grilled onion, lettuce, Dijon, Duke's mayo, pepper jelly, and American cheese on a sesame bun. Yeah, I stole that from their menu. A combination that understands desire better than most dating profiles. The beef is where the courtship starts. That dark, griddle-kissed crust. The cheese surrendering to the heat. Grilled onions settling into the whole delicious mess. Then the Dijon cuts through, and the pepper jelly slips in with sweetness and a little trouble. Duke's makes sure nobody leaves clean. You lean forward. Both hands on the bun. For a few minutes, your phone can go to hell. There's something deeply intimate about a good burger: the attention it demands, the small indignities you willingly accept, the sauce you discover on your wrist after you've already decided you're in love. Bourdain said it best: "I'm just a cheap, nasty, low down, trailer park burger slut". The tots belong here, too. Little fried accomplices, useful for stretching out the affair between bites. The Uncle Denny, tots, and a drink came to damn near $18. Enough to make you pause before paying. Enough that the burger had better give you something to remember. This one will. I'll go back. Probably order the same thing. I always do. There's a point in every romance when you stop pretending you're interested in seeing other people.

The atmosphere was absolutely perfect (The Name Alone had me excited already) My server came just about right as soon as I sat down and brought me a menu, I didn't grab pictures of the menu as they are already online. Anyways, I had ordered The Baja Burger with a side of the specially seasoned fries which are just the utmost delicious. I have to admit for such a small place I wasn't expecting HOMEMADE RANCH I can't stress it enough that any place that has homemade ranch has my heart completely. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a good burger that fills you up and doesn't make your stomach hurt. Thank you so much The Lucky Horse

It was a beautiful evening, so we decided to sit outside on their patio. Shouldn't admit it...but we had to ask our waitress what the lettering was on the side of the building (see picture) - but hay, we are near Drake. Following a Lucky Casa Margarita (see picture), we ordered our meals. My wife ordered the Dogtown Burger w/ Onion Rings (see picture) and I went with the Boneless Wings w/ Blueberry BBQ sauce (see picture). As is our modus operandi, we shared tastes of each and both thoroughly enjoyed both plates. While me wife isn't usually a big berry sauce person, she agreed that the wings were very good. Unfortunately, I was too full to sample one of the awesome looking desserts on the menu...so that will be the reason for another stop! We sat at a high top with a bench, and it actually worked really well for having the baby with us. Drinks and waters came out efficiently, and our waitress was kind and courteous. The food did take a little while, but everything came out together, which I appreciate with a larger table. My fries were room temperature when they arrived, but they quickly replaced them with piping hot ones, so no real complaint there. Our table had a good mix: the Pulled Pork Sandwich for $12.99, Crispy Chicken Wrap for $14.99, Tequila Lime Chicken Tacos for $14.99, BTH Classic Smash Burger for $14.99, and a medium order of house-made boneless wings for $16.99. No one complained, which is usually a pretty good sign with our crew. The restaurant was clean, fairly busy, and all the staff we interacted with were friendly. Drink prices seemed reasonable too. We were also able to hang out and visit for quite a while without feeling rushed, which made it a really nice family stop. It is close to home, the food was good, and my daughter picked up the bill for Father's Day, so that made it taste even better. We will definitely be back.

One of the options we wanted was out which I have heard is a fairly common thing with certain beers here. For an appetizer we ordered the bone-in Buffalo wings. They were so good and the best item that I had during this meal. I would go back for the wings alone. One of the members of my group who has been here before said the boneless wings are not good and he would only recommend the bone-in wings. For it being a Monday night and not very busy I felt like the food was taking longer than necessary, but this was my first time, so I didn't have anything to compare it to. Majority of the table ordered burgers. We all enjoyed them, but didn't think it was the best burger ever. My favorite was the jalapeño popper burger, but I really don't think you could go wrong with any of the burgers. I liked this place and will be back if the opportunity comes, but I don't think it will be a staple restaurant in our house.

Since it was Happy Hour pricing (app. 1/3 off the items we checked), the Value bumps to a 5* for this trip. All things considered, I like Barn Town Brewing and really like a few of their beers - not to mention, they are close to home. Because we were here for a Happy Hour review, we ordered only from their Happy Hour menu (all of which have pictures included below). My wife started with an amber Core beer, while I chose the Featured Flight - since it included several of their beers that I hadn't yet sampled. For our meal, we ordered the Bavarian Pretzels (see picture), Crab Rangoon Flatbread (see picture) and Wings, split between Buffalo & Honey Hot (see picture). The Pretzels are just what you would expect and the combination of mustard and cheese dipping sauces were a great complement. The wings were also tasty, although several admittedly appeared to come from a pretty deformed chicken. The flatbread would be the only thing I wouldn't order again. I expect very thin to cracker type crusts for flatbread and this was more of a thick / deep dish pizza type of crust (the picture shows it, about 1/2" thick). Further, the sauces / topping were a bit sparce - so it was quite bready and dry. If you found this review helpful, please show your appreciation with a Like or a Follow.

I had experienced Barn Town at a beer festival and researched them before visiting town, so I know the experimental candy-influenced collabs are kind of their thing. The PB and Grape Jelly sour was nice and the Watermelon Sour Batch Buddies was the best of the State Fair themed bunch. Everything else packed too much of a flavor punch for me... to the point of upsetting my stomach which NEVER happens when I drink beer. I would actually go back and try some of their flagship (normal) beer offerings and food specials to get a more well rounded opinion of the brewpub.
