Literally just left this place about 20 minutes ago. I'm the only person in line and the only cashier is on the phone. I wait for about 8 minutes and he is still on the phone -- he doesn't even acknowledge that I'm standing there the entire time. I leave and end up getting a sandwich next door at Subways... Insult to injury... a bunch of teenagers who were originally inside Five Guys are standing outside throwing peanuts at cars and as I pass by they decide to change their aim at me. read more

DELICIOUS. Just moved here, so this was my first five guys experience... Nothing better than greasy burgers, except cheap greasy burgers with fresh, hand cut fries!! A word of caution, when they say "large" fries, they really mean large. Like a full size drink cup, overflowing with fries, which requires a separate bag from your burgers... a bag that is see-through from all the wonderful grease by the time you get it to your table. Definitely a place try! Excellent burgers and fries made from fresh potatoes. The burgers are hot and greasy and delicious... like a burger is supposed to be. Be careful telling them you want "everything on it" like I did... they put so much stuff (jalapenos, mushrooms, etc.) that it was difficult to handle. My coworkers introduced me to Five Guys the first week I was there ... and ever since then, we go pretty often. One tip ... DON'T WEAR WHITE! The juice from the burgers always drips, and I'm always so nervous when we go there and I'm wearing a white shirt. I get the little cheeseburger with everything and we usually can split a small cajun fries between 3 of us. Drinks are refillable and if it wasn't for the 6 block walk back to work, I would feel extremely guilty coming here practially weekly. If you come right at lunch time, the line fills up the place, and since your burger and fries are made to order, it takes even longer to get your food. Best bet? Come a little earlier and there's no line and your finishing up your lunch by the time the lunch crowd fills up the place. I like this place better than most burger joints I've been too ... and I think I might prefer Five Guys to In-n-Out by just a smidgin more! read more

Great burgers. BUT at 8pm Sept 15 they locked the door and kept the Open sign on, the door and Yelp said they are open till 10pm. We watched customers try the door with the employees just watching dumbfounded. If someone got in they could get a burger, but that was only when a customer on the inside opened the door. Ok if you don't feel like working turn the Open sign off and put a note on the door. Or hire someone who is willing to work. I have visited this Five Guys many times because I usually enjoy the food. On Saturday 8/13/16, my boyfriend and I went to grab burgers and arrived at 9:55pm. The sign on the door said they close at 10pm, but the door was already locked. We could see staff and a few customers inside. I knocked on the glass door a couple times before staff acknowledged me - a staff member with a broom motioned that they were closed. I pointed to my watch and said its not 10:00 yet. This particular Five Guys is close to Nationals Park and the game had just let out. I suspect they locked the door early to prevent a post-game crowd from entering. Whatever the case, they should not have locked the doors early. I was disappointed and hungry and I will take my business elsewhere in the future. read more

Glad you all re-opened but will not be back. Got back to my office with a Bacon Cheeseburger and a small order of fried. What i got is sloppy mess that had lettuce and the lower part of the bun soaked in grease, whole thing is falling apart. And, the fries are basically a up of salt. This is your standard Five Guys - I always get the cajun fries, but I can never finish them. Service here is consistent, and the location is convenient for work. Lunch rush is not too bad... parking leaves a bit to be desired, but not something I generally have to worry about since it's walking distance. Today I went to this location to carryout a meal. I was disappointed by the staff who were not practicing proper COVID-19 safety measures. Out of the four staffers only one had on a mask while cooking food. One employee was both taking orders and handling food, this employee flipped burgers without using a mask nor did he change his gloves, he also was carrying on a conversation while handling food. When I brought this to his attention, he appeared agitated, but he did stop handling the food. Two women employees came in from outside, both began to handle food without face masks, one began handling the hamburgers the other the buns, both did have on gloves, however the absence of face coverings disturbed me. After watching this, I felt compelled to ask for a refund. Although I was not asked, I offered my reason for wanting a refund. I told the manager how disturbing it was to see her and others handling food without masks. She apologized and said that they had masks on order. I told her I believed that those handling the food should use, at least, a homemade face covering when handling the food. This was a deeply disturbing incident, occurring at an extremely sensitive time. I feel compelled to contact the city, as this is a public health emergency. People who are ordering pick-up and delivery are being put in danger of contracting COVID-19. read more

I'm okay with not overeating at the place, but when prices go up and food costs down (significantly.. Since it's a chain I won't go into the details, but instead focus on the differences between here and other Five Guys I've been to. It's got a great dining area, with all the plentiful number of booths clean and well stocked with condiments and napkins. The restrooms didn't have excessive toilet paper or paper towels everywhere, typical for other diners. The reason I knocked a star off is for the slow service. My burger and bun got burned, so they had to redo it It meant that my normal 5-10 min wait time got extended to 15+. They tried to make it up by giving me lots of extra fries, but let's be real. We've got Five Guys in TX so I was expecting greatness when I popped in here the other day and it delivered. This DWTN location was perfect because the people watching aspect. We sat at the window and saw all walks of life living in harmony. Walking through downtown seems pretty safe and a Five Guys burger was a pleasant surprise. We mowed down some peanuts and then my Wife had the little bacon cheese burger while i had the regular one. I'm pleased to report that Five Guys now offers a junior portion of fries, which is both proportionally and price-wise on target for one, or even sharing for two. This location does a huge lunch business but they plow through the line pretty quick and compared to some other locations, they are generous on the toppings. read more

The burgers here are quite good, I can't complain, except the heart attack this place is going to give me. I remember when I first had it, it was really good, a nice juicy burger, a copious amount of condiments to throw on top of it, pretty tasty cajun spiced fries (although they aren't as crispy as they should be, but they are piping hot). It was so good, I had to come back again the next day!! Then after my second serving of Five Guys, I started to feel kinda gross, it was probably all the grease that was getting to me. Not the greatest burger I ever had, but a pretty damn good one in comparison.
