We wouldn't eat here again. The price alone, for burgers and fries, was ridiculous! In my opinion, while the burgers were fresh, they were not seasoned at all. Not even salt & pepper. I did like the variety of toppings to choose from, that was the only flavors that came across. As for their fries, the website claims"cut once fried twice. Soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside." That was not the case. Ours were limp and soft. Anyway, for the price we paid we could have went to a sit down restaurant and enjoyed table service. Five Guys is one of my favorite fast food style hamburger shops. I can always guarantee that the burger will be tasty, and freshly made. I also like that they have a wide range of toppings for you to add to your burger gratis. I'm also a fan of their french fries, especially When I can get them to cook them hard and crispy. The peanuts are a bonus. You can snack on those while you wait for your food. It's a little pricey for a fast food, burger, but ultimately, I think it's worth the money. read more

Since the Coronavirus lockdown has been in place, we've ordered delivery once or twice a week. We've ordered from a few places and we've found that this Five Guys has been amazingly consistent. Food quality has been very good, even the fries hold up, but my biggest rave? They double bag everything and they seal each bag with a Five Guys sticker, so you know your bag arrives the way it left the restaurant. They do not make fries until you are physically there (I order on the telephone) so that the fries are always hot. The only problem is that sometimes the fry guy puts too much salt on them. They still have peanuts that you fill up yourself. They have hot dogs, small burgers and hamburgers with your choice of toppings. The small burger is one patty less than 1/4 pound. The regular hamburger has two small Patties. I ordered a bacon hamburger, with Mayo, bbq sauce and grilled onions with a coke to wash everything down. It was a $15 lunch and that was without fries. Sooo I know it's five guys and I know it's a chain. I also know there are cooler burger joints around Tallahassee with cooler burgers and unique topping, but something about these burgers make my taste buds dance... Food: The burgers are simple and direct. Nothing fancy or crazy but they just are delicious to me. They hit the burger to bread ratio spot on. The ingredients are fresh and made to order and everything just works honestly. I also got the Cajun fries and here it fell just a little short for me. Little too much Cajun spice for my liking and a bit soggy. Granted the potatoes are Idaho fresh to order but it just misses the mark for me. It's probably personal preference I like my fries smaller and more crispy but it's just my opinion. Also I had the salted caramel shake and it was phenomenal. Staff is very rude. I had an online order and waited 20 minutes while I watched everyone in the line order their food and leave. They said they were waiting on the fries but multiple other customers got their fries and the guy on the fryer continued to put fries in every bag except mine. They said it's because the other customers ordered before me but once again this was an online order placed previous to my arrival. When I first walked in, the music was loud, we were in a hurry and my son couldn't make up his mind on what to order. The lady at the register seemed to say something but I couldn't hear. I know now I snapped which caused our interactions lead more to a negative manner. I left to go to the restroom while my family ordered. My husband said the lady needed to talk to me. I love five guys but this location messed our order up twice! He put my jalapeños on my wife's burger. Then he put A1 sauce on my burger and I asked for BBQ sauce. I placed an online order, which was hard to complete. In the options selection, there is no exit unless you cancel your request to restart. Following the app, experience i selected a later time showed up on time, and in respect, the food was ready for me sitting on the counter. When i arrived, nobody was placing an order and nobody waiting for food and nobody greeted me. Then when trying to get someone's attention, i was ignored when i got my food that was sitting there. They didn't get me the lemonade i ordered i asked, and they walked over and grabbed one from the floor, not a fridge, and was warm and had crud on the bottom. The next one he got me also had crude on the cap. He said he was going to get one from outback and came back with a clean bottle, but upon looking at it, the top had been opened, and i didn't drink it out of fear of how they handled the drinks and situation. My go to burger joint. The burgers are always made to order. I never had a patty that was already cooked. Even with cooking the burger patty made to order never takes to long. A large fry could usually feed my family of four. They offer peanuts while waiting or can take some to go. The burgers are a little pricey but it is so worth it. Five guys is pretty consistent with their quality and this location does a great job. My only 2 problems with FG are... 1. Too many fries. If they put them in my bag, i will eat them. There is no such thing as a small fry here. The tiny cup and a whole bag full of fries is an extra large frie. 2. I always feel like I need a shower after eating one of their burgers. I have gone to two small burgers rather than one double but the problem is still there. They are so messy that I need to eat them outside and let the scraps that get away, fall on the ground for the wildlife to enjoy. read more

This place is great. All these other burger places need to take a hint. It's a burger, stop screwing it up. They keep it simple and awesome.

I would have to say the best thing about Five Guys is their consistency. You get the same high quality product each and every time. There's something to be said for that in my opinion. Is it the best burger ever? Probably not, but the beef is never frozen and the choice of toppings are excellent. I'm usually not a fan of a place that doesn't give you the option of cooking your burger to a specific temperature, however Five Guys burgers are always well seasoned and plenty juicy. As much as I like their burgers, I think their fries steal the show. Fresh cut and they give you a huge portion (I always lay claim to the extra fries left in the bag)! I highly recommend ordering the fries "well done". These are super fresh potatoes and therefore tend to be a bit on the soft side if not cooked a bit longer than usual. I'm also a fan of the simplicity of the menu...single or double burger, hot dog, grilled cheese or veggie sandwich(just say no...vegetarians should stay away from this place). I haven't tried them yet, but I noticed that they have added milkshakes to the menu...I may need to bring a portable defibrillator next time if I dare to try and squeeze one down the hatch. read more

Ten Years ago The Five Guys Concept was new and exciting...burgers and fries made fresh to order without sitting in a holding bin all day with plenty of toppings to choose from...now days it seems hopelessly outdated like a Motorola Flip Phone in an I-Phone World...the burgers and fries are still made fresh to order and are still tasty...but these days charging the prices they do(around 12 bucks for a Double Cheeseburger..small fries..and a drink) there are far more restaurants even in a culinary backwater like Tally, for burgers at that price point that offer much more interesting options..just off the top of my head in town you could go to Grub..Vertigo..Red Robin..Monk's..Midtown Caboose..Tin Cow..Ted's..Smash..etc and pay around the same and have access to different type burgers(chicken..chorizo..lamb..shrimp..etc) and far more interesting toppings(Blue Cheese..Pimento Cheese..Arugula..Philly Steak..etc)..Five Guys does nothing wrong at all and I have always enjoyed them, but honestly if I am looking for a non-fancy type burger joint I would rather go to Whataburger and get the same meal for around 4 dollars cheaper...As for this store specifically in The Five Guys Chain it always seems to be a little dirty and understaffed so I am probably being a little generous giving this particular unit 3 stars..It will be interesting to see how Five Guys fares in the "Burger Wars" currently taking place in town read more
