Double Cheeseburger, Little Fries (more in the bag), small drink
Eric N.

1/20/25 I found a discount code on Upside app so decided to give them a try again. Food - for a fast casual burger, not bad. I would give the nod to Hi-point nearby overall, but this was better than fast food. Fries are natural cut, and were surprisingly crispy for natural. I seasoned everything with a little extra salt. Coca-cola freestyle machine for soft drinks. Price - For a double Cheeseburger combo (small fry and small drink), was $17. Upside app had 26% off code. So came out to around $13. Service was quick and pleasant. Did not take long to get my food. Ambiance - they have plenty of seating and suitable for families. The radio was playing a mix of pop and rock tunes. They were grooving.

The sweetest person I've met since I been delivering food!!

This is the first restaurant I've been to in a long time to pick up a delivery where the workers were nice, hospitable, and genuinely welcoming. It was a great change from what I usually experience at most fast food restaurants. The restaurant was nice and clean, and everything was in order. The bathroom was also nice and clean. I think this place might be hard to get to, which is why a lot of people don't frequent it, but it has a great atmosphere and the workers are awesome. On a sad note, the nuts I got were all stale. This makes me believe that not many people go there to eat, as the whole batch was stale.

I usually don't review fast food places and I wouldn't quite consider 5 Guys to be fast food, but as soon as I walked in and saw the cleanliness of the place, I figured some cheers and kind words were on the menu! We come here a lot...great service, friendly faces and one heck of a good burger. I can't ever recall where we regretted coming here....always a great burger and fresh cut fries! Kudos to the crew and the cleanliness, especially the condiments station....spotless (it's the little things that matter)and stocked! Also, there wasn't a dirty table to be found or peanut shells on the deck....just a clean place overall. Thanks 5 Guys in sunset hills....you get 5 stars and we will be back! Did I say the burger was delicious?!!!

Literally one of my fave spots in St. Louis. I first started going because there was a sign out…read morefront that said "best gyros" and of course I had to try it! I will say the gyro is fantastic and they don't skip out on the veggies and sauce. It all comes on a pita which I don't really prefer for a gyro. I think a naan that is a bit thicker would be a perfect fit for this gyro. Besides that, I really like the reuben too. It's stacked high and comes with a nice toasted marble rye (I love a marbled rye!). Recently, I have been getting the gyro salad and I just love that there is a mountain of veggies AND a good amount of the gyro meat. The folks working there are always kind, the food is consistent and they are fast and clean.

The sign outside Kirkwood Deli and Convenience Store says it's the best gyro in town however I…read morecan't verify this and although it's pretty good; I think I've had better in STL. I haven't had any of their other sandwiches but I've had their gyro a few times over the years and I like it a lot. I remember the Riverfront Times article years ago saying how it's the best gyro in town as well so I had to try it back then and I think it was a little better years ago than it is today however it's still a good deal price wise with the gyro being pretty filling with a drink and bag of chips. Just know it is a takeout place only since there's nowhere to sit and eat inside and so its good for a picnic in the car or nearby park if you're hungry and can't wait until your all the way home and want to eat it right away. The service is okay, never had any problems. The deli shop itself is clean but basic.

Stopped here while we were visiting from out of town. It was SO good!…read more Some of the best pretzel bites and onion rings we've had in a while. Our kiddos loved their food and I had a great burger. It is kid-friendly but not lame. Haha. We had an excellent server(I think his name was James)! Prompt service and was very attentive. They also have a snow cone bar that was a super fun touch. Highly recommend.

I wanted to add red pepper and subtract the mushrooms and cheese from the veggie omelette, James was very nice and made sure he could accomodate. Food came out quickly; my potatoes came out with parm on top. James was quick to remedy the situation, leaving me with the omelet and having the potatoes redone. He was great, I hadn't asked for no cheese and didn't realize the potatoes came that way. Omelet was thick and fluffy with lots of veggie filling, I was surprised the peppers where pimentos but I love pimentos so I loved the omelette. He returned the potatoes minus the parm and they were delicious! Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Check out was quick and easy and we are on our way. Love the atmosphere and service and the food is great!

We didn't know Carl's was cash-only before we went. Thank goodness we had cash!…read more The whole store is pretty small, with around 20 seats total on two separate counters. It has a real old-timey lunch counter feel. The service was great! Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. The food was really good! I'd definitely come back if I was in STL. I'm a pretty picky eater and this satisfied me. The smashburger was great! Cooked well and not burnt at all. The fries weren't my favorite. They were okay but I think switching to a different brand or frying them in something else would be better and more flavorful; as it was, they were pretty bland and inoffensive. The coke was great too, with teeny tiny ice like all good diners have. The shake wasn't something I'd order again. We ordered chocolate and it tasted like milk with a little chocolate syrup thrown in. Onion rings were good too! A super fun stop! I'd come back!

I got my first root beer in probably two decades because it was in a barrel. I think you're meant to have root beer at a place where they serve it out of a barrel. About as authentic as you could get and I really liked it check out the pics.

Shake Shack is a burger restaurant the offers casual dining. They have chicken and shakes…read more The customer service is pretty much nonexistent. You go to a Kiosk to place an order. You grab a number and enter that number in the kiosk. They bring the food to the table without saying anything. They guy didn't asked if we needed anything else. The food is good, but in my opinion is is overpriced. It has small portions. I got the chicken sandwich and spice cheese fries. Both were good. My coworkers got smashed burgers. They have patio seating. They also have plenty of parking.

The location is easy to get to from Manchester rd. and they offer plenty of parking spots for customers. When we got inside, they have 4 kiosks for ordering so you can review the menu and then order when you are ready. During the ordering process, you can choose if it's a dine in or take out order and then you grab a number and type that in so they can find you when the order is ready. Of course, before paying, they have an option for tipping so do with that what you will. After paying for my order the kiosk told me that when my order was ready, a team member would bring my order out to me so I went and sat down at a table after picking up napkins, a fork and some ketchup. They also have a self serve drink station with a tap just for water, but the cups are really small so I recommend bringing a reusable water bottle if you have one. After a few minutes, I received a text to let me know my order was ready and that it would be brought out shortly. After about 10 minutes, my friend already had her order delivered to the table, but mine was still missing. I decided to go up to the counter to ask about it. The workers were busy, but one of them did ask me what I needed and I let them know my order was missing. They could not find the order and so I had to show them my receipt (thankfully, I had it emailed to me because you could always decline a receipt). I showed my receipt and the text that my order was ready and so they told me they would start a new order for me since they didn't have mine. All I ordered was a coffee milkshake and some cheese fries so it shouldn't take too long. I just stood there awkwardly waiting for my drink/food and after about 5ish minutes, they were handing it to me. I was shocked that they didn't apologize or acknowledge their mistake and they did not even say anything to me either when handing me my tray. The customer service could use some work in my opinion. The cheese fries were good as usual and since I was trying the coffee shake for the first time, I was not overly impressed, but it did taste fine. However, there are other places with much better coffee shakes so I probably won't order it again. I am not someone who frequents Shake Shack so I don't know when or if I will be back.
