The amount of grease you're consuming is enough for a two star rating! I work directly upstairs from them so I have a bit of a different insight. First off, if you're going to skip anything on the menu skip the bacon! Although the location opens at 11am, they have personal start at 8am designated to fry ALL the BACON for the ENTIRE DAY! So if you're enjoying a bacon burger at 9 at night, you're basically consuming 13 hour old bacon that they store in a bin. Our office discovered this after complaining to property management that our office has this potent grease smell every morning. Everything else for the most part is fresh. A lot of people compare Five Guys to In-n-Out and really the only comparison is that they are both a burger joint with simple (or limited depending on how you look at it) menus. Five Guys does however have more food item options in addition to burgers like Hot Dogs, Sandwiches and regular and Cajun Fried (High Recommend you try). They have two size burgers so be careful when you're ordering for the first time. Their regular size burgers consist of two patties, for lack of a better description, they "glue" the patties together with yummy melted cheese. If you don't want that much meat get the "Little" size (one patty). You have a lot more to choose from as far as the Mix-in/sauces goes at no additional cost. While you're waiting for you meal you can enjoy peanuts. They food if good, I went the day they opened and I enjoyed the burger and they've only improved with time/experience. They recently added outdoor seating. Their portions are large, even the "Little". When you order fries they put them in a cup, which I'm not particularly fond of because the bottom fries get soggy. In addition, when they are preparing your order and you've ordered fries, they pour additional fries into the bag. Great that you get more food, but a real turn off when you look at all the grease on the brown paper bag. Their staff is nice and another plus side is that you can order online! read more

Amazing burgers, amazing service. The management here is great. The managers are also really cool. Salvador is very welcoming, and knows how to lead his crew. The food is always consistent, and never made wrong, which is great considering how many options there are. Quickly becoming my go to place for a good burger. A damn good burger and fries combo. IN DEFENSE OF THE STAFF I deconstructed my burger and put it in my air fryer at 450 for a few minutes and it was delicious. I liked it better than at Five Guys. When I saw the amount for my delivery from 5 guys, I thought my french fries were included because who pays $14 for a little cheeseburger? Not me except just now!! I just paid over $14 for a little cheeseburger to be delivered. That's insane. If I had noticed that, I never would have ordered from 5 guys. I just saw the amount and that seemed right for the burger and fries. I also called them and asked if I could get peanuts since I'm not able to drive right now. He said sure. I will make a bag for you right now and we will include them. I gave him my name. I took my burger after arguing with DoorDash to see where my fries were and they were not there (not their fault for once) and have been calling 5 guys (no answer, the ringing stops after about 15 rings and you get disconnected) 7 times now. But that's BS. I was really looking forward to this. Now I doubt I will ever even go to 5 guys again. All I'm left with on this Saturday afternoon is a very cold burger and a waste of $`14. . YES! YEEEESSS!! I don't know why it took me so long to find this place. I had my first 5 Guys experience when I was on a roadtrip back to LA from Temecula. After a crazy 5K of being chased by zombies, I couldn't imagine a better recovery meal. So, the question is, was it only delicious because my completely abused body needed any form of nutrition it could find and was a desperate place? The verdict: No. Fully recovered, all I could think about was that juicy burger that I had slathered in ketchup, mayo, and grilled onions... The cheese perfectly melted, completely encompassing that perfectly grilled patty. I visited the Sherman Oaks location, to satisfy this urge. A burger to-go. It was easily just as delicious as the first time! This time with the grilled mushrooms added to the mix. It's been a long time since I've had a burger so good, you could actually savor the dripping goodness of real beef. Many other burger joints have tasteless meat patties OR meat patties bigger than my head, that I can't even enjoy them for fear of just completely wasting a cow's life if I didn't eat every bit of the oversized burger. At 5 guys there is no drive thru. At 5 guys employees yell at other employees when someone orders double meat or any meat I believe. After hearing them yell over and over "GOT IT!" I was starting to not get it. I'm sure it's in the employee handbook but seriously, don't yell no more. Got it? I had the large order of fries because I heard about the egregious amount of fries they give out so I took it as a challenge. Sure enough, no man can finish a larger order of fries from 5 guys. There is A LOT of hype for Five Guys. People say it's comparable to In-n-Out and while I don't agree I do have to say it's pretty good. Usually wherever you go for a burger you can tell it's a restaurant burger, but for some reason (must be the seasoning) Five Guys burgers taste homemade and I really like that. Don't get me wrong I'll probably be sticking to In-n-Out because of the convenience. (Distance, Drive-thru, and faster service) but I wouldn't mind hitting up a Five Guys again. All the hype kinda disappointed me while I was eating it but I bumped it up a little bit because the girl at the register was extra nice to me and overheard my brother and I talking about how it was my first time there and she gave me the breakdown of how things worked and even threw bacon on my burger which I didn't order and costs more. I had heard a lot about Five Guys Burgers but never got the chance to actually go to one until this week. First let me address the one common complaint that people seem to have about this place. Yes, it is kind of expensive. I got the cheeseburger, regular fries and large drink and it cost over $12. Definitely a little pricey. But honestly, the portions are huge and the quality is awesome! For starters, the burger could be the best burger I have ever had. You should know that the regular cheeseburger is actually a double and probably contains a half pound of meat. They have lots of toppings, all of which are free, and some of which most places would charge extra for, like grilled onions. The burger was hot and awesome! I absolutely loved it. The fries are $3.09 for the regular sized portion, but their regular sized portion is more than enough for 2 people. They come in a cup, but they they throw more than you regularly get in the cup in the bag on top of the cup. So you really get the equivalent of 2 orders of fries. If two people go, just get one order of fries and share. You will probably still have left overs. What's more you get free peanuts to eat while you are waiting for your food! If you think $12 is too much to pay for a burger, fries and a coke then yeah, you will probably be disappointed. If you get over the amount you are paying and look at the quality of the food and the amount you are getting, then this place is awesome. I will definitely be back! read more

A love affair that never ends! Five Guys and I first met in Northern Virginia and haven't left each other's side ever since. Well, for a short time when I relo'd from NoVA to L.A. ...and then came Five Guys in L.A., they missed me so...any more time apart would have been a travesty of the worst kind. LOL A fun place from the minute you walk in. Torturous to go when hungry and having to sit through that short but seemingly never ending time to cook those 'two patties'! Fresh, all kinds of toppings, totally appetizing! ...and then there's the fries! Freshly cut, nice and crunchy on the ends, soft and hearty on the inside...how a fry SHOULD be. :) Clean, red and white (red's my favorite color), the folks are totally friendly and they make sure you're satisfied while you're dining. To top it all off they have the fun soda machine where you can have tons of different flavors. I love the peach lemonade, strawberry's not bad either. Eat outside and people watch or inside and feel the vibe. Street parking or lot parking in the back. Bathrooms nice and clean. A great experience all around. This was my first visit to Five Guys and I don't get all the hype about this place. I ordered a regular hamburger and "natural cut" fries and it cost nearly $10! To be fair the hamburger is two patties and probably 1/2 pound in total weight. Very tasty and they offer lots of free toppings. I was less impressed with the fries. They say the fries are cooked in 100% peanut oil and yuck, they are right. Soggy, limp and full of grease! A small order of fries costs $3.09 and comes in a paper cup. When they place the cup of fries in your bag, they take a couple of scoops more of fries and dump it into your order. I guess you get your money's worth if you're into limp, greasy natural cut fries. Now here is the reason that I will not come back......poorly trained workers. I came to the restaurant just before close and placed my order. While waiting for it (and enjoying free peanuts) I noticed the cook behind the counter come into the dining room to clean tables and prepare to close. What I really noticed was the fact that he was still wearing his food handler rubber gloves. While I ate my peanuts and watched him clean up trash from the tables, I then saw him go back behind the counter and prepare my burger......without changing his gloves! When they called that my order was ready, I was going to ask them to make another burger but it was so close to closing time and I really wanted to eat. What a mistake! I woke up in the middle of the night as sick as someone can be with food poisoning. After all of this agony, was it worth it? I love Five Guys, don't get me wrong. I think they are delicious and the people are super nice. The only reason I am writing this is because of covid. I understand it is a difficult time and everyone is doing their best but I watched multiple people come in the restaurant with their masks below their mouth or nose. The rule says you cannot enter without a mask but I assume it meant on their face. Even when they saw the person and talked to them they did not ask them to put their mask up. It is concerning about the safety for them but also the customers. I think the restaurant is great and this would not be a problem if covid did not exist, but because it does it is problem. It's no wonder this burger joint is spreading like wild fire, it's amazing!! I love that they give you an option of a Hamburger or a "Little Hamburger" (that option is included with all they're burgers) the little hamburgers aren't sliders, they look pretty average sized, so I can only imagine how big the regular sized burgers are. Anyways! Best fries hands down. Perfectly seasoned and crispy outside; soft and amazing inside. If you call in or order online they don't drop your fries until you arrive to assure your fries are piping hot and FRESH!! Best of all you get free peanuts that you can help yourself to! Tried this out for the first time, it was a nice set up luckily we were able get our drinks before the line set up for their two soda dispensers. We ate the free peanuts available while waiting for the food. A short wait and you were able to enjoy their display of awards or magazine reviews. I had the hamburger with only a few toppings but make sure to add the mushrooms! Yum it just melts in your mouth and the flavors blended so well together. However, five guys is a little expensive/over-priced. My large fry, cheeseburger and soda was I think around $17.. for this reason I give it 4 out of 5. I love this place. I always avoided Five Guys before because seeing people walk out with grease soaked bags made me gag. But I work next door to this particular Five Guys, so I decided to try them out. AMAZING. What gets me most is the customer service. They know I work in the same plaza, so sometimes they don't charge me for my soda. Every time I get a small fries, they make me wait a little just to give me my cup of freshly made fries completely overflowing into a paper bag. When they bring me my food, they always smile, make eye contact and thank me. I've been so many places where people fling your bag at you and run away to get back to work. Never here. Oh Five Guys...I waited so long to try you. I was looking forward to it since I had heard so much about you. Not that I heard that you were the best ever but you were tasty enough and I didn't hear bad things, so when a Five Guys opened close to home I thought I would give it a go. The location is great, street parking with a meter or free parking in the back or underground, no lack of parking. Customer service was great. But it should be when the place is pretty much empty. The guy that helped me was really nice, explained the menu...easy enough. The fries...YUMMY! I loved the fries. I loved even more that they have malt vinegar offered as a condiment. Salt and vinegar fries...nothing better! I do think they over do it with the portion...but they should for the price I guess but I ended up tossing more than I actually ate...which is a waste. I don't reheat french fries. Now the burger. Let me start by saying that I LOVE cheeseburgers. If I was stranded on an island and could just have one kind of food it would be a cheeseburger. I was looking forward to this, I've seen Five Guys on TV so I thought it had to be good. Disappointment isn't even the word. First of all they straight up wrap it in aluminum foil...no paper between the burger and foil. WHY? What this did was keep it warm but steamed it at the same time and the bun was a complete mess! And it was down hill from there. It just wasn't up to par. But then again I know I'm hard to please...but still. Is it too much to ask for a big juicy burger with lots of melty cheese on a stable bun??? I mean for the price I should have unwrapped it and seen a gold glow popping off it. Order a Little Burger if you want just one patty. Yummy burger, but I don't like the way the bun is steamed and gets mushed and almost moist from a minute or two after being wrapped. It is probably best to eat these burgers right away. The burger is slopped together and is not the prettiest thing, but tastes good. After reading other reviews I was worried the portions would be crazy, but Five Guys has normal sized offerings. My Husband picked this place insisting that My Mom and I were going to LOVE it and since I had heard good reviews about this place, I thought why not? First Things First. If you are allergic to nuts.. specifically Peanuts. Don't even bother walking into this place. They cook there food in Peanut Oil and give free peanuts out for you to eat while waiting (this part is kind of cool for non allergic people, however this place is just creating WAY to much exposure of peanuts) Anyways. I walked in and just by appearances it didn't grab me.. They did they whole retro red and white tile thing. Which Californians already associate with In-N-Out Burger. Also all there signing and decor just appeared cheap and unwelcoming. I was excited by the Menu though. I don't know why but the idea that I could order a hot dog AND a hamburger at a burger place excited me. Esp. since this isn't terribly uncommon. Maybe it was the hunger speaking. I am not an adventurous eater in general so, I just got a "little" cheeseburger. Which is just a normal sized plain cheeseburger. It was decent. I would definitely stick to In-N-Out or McD's for the plain inexpensive burger. My mom pretty much got the same thing and was disappointed when they didn't have cheddar cheese or ranch. The cheddar cheese is a personal thing of hers.. but I can kind of understand why she'd expect them to have ranch. It is a food standard. My husband enjoyed his burger, which had a lot on it and both of them did not enjoy the cajun style fries. After hearing so much about this place, I wanted to see if it truly lives up to the hype! As soon as I walked in, I was pleasantly greeted by a sweet cashier lady, and proceeded with my order. It took twenty minutes for our order, (we snacked on free peanuts in the meantime), and when it finally came, I started sampling the fries. They were seasoned and, tasted good but, nothing phenomenal there. I noticed the burgers were so greasy, even the buns had grease on them! That's a bit extreme! At first bite, I could tell that, the patties were over cooked! The size of the burger itself tasted a little better than your typical fast food joints, but it couldn't come close to its competitors. It tries to deliver, but just falls short! The amount of grease is way too much, and there isn't any real value in the meal itself; not at that price point! Another deal breaker? Yeah, I know, just when you thought it couldn't be any worse! You thought wrong! I went to the restroom to wash up before sitting down for the meal, and noticed, there weren't any MEN'S Restrooms! Only a WOMEN'S Restroom, and an ALL GENDER one. I guess, I could say, it's sexist of them to not have a Men's Restroom, but I don't usually complain about every little thing I see. The cashier seemed new he offered me a water cup when I had paid for a large drink then he proceeded to give me a regular drink when I had purchased a large.
