Food is too expensive. The French fries are too salty. The service was good. I don't think I will be back. !!!!!

If you follow my reviews, you know I'm a fan of old-school diners, the classics, and honest home-cooked food. Summit hits all three marks, serving straightforward and delicious American standards since the 1960s. The three-egg omelet loaded with veggies and sausage was exactly the pre-ski power-up I needed. My son stuck with his go-to breakfast burrito, and my daughter went with the classic two eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Everything was spot on. The staff has just the right level of "WWA"--Waitresses With Attitude. They are perfectly polite, but they hold the line on proper behavior and will quickly put anyone in their place if they step out of line. It keeps the environment grounded and authentic. A few tips for your visit: * Seating: Expect to wait for a table in the lobby or outside during peak hours. * Payment: Bring your wallet--this is a cash-only establishment.

Despite it being in Pennsylvania, it throws off a distinct hillbilly atmosphere. The usual signs about Jesus, Christmas and, of course, patriotism were in abundance. My party ordered a variety of dishes and I opted for the roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. Sorry to say, the food was just adequate. The beef was overdone and the gravy had the sheen of the bottled gravies at the grocery store. The mashed potatoes were the star of the show, however, as they were very good. The hamburger and pancakes ordered by others get similar reviews. It was a hamburger and tasted like one. The pancakes, being hard to screw up, were just pancakes. This is a cash-only place, so come prepared to be vilified for wanting to pay with plastic. The prices were lower than the norm but that did little to make me feel better upon leaving. Despite the dearth of customers when we were there, the service was also lacking. I had to seek out help to get a refill on my iced tea and we waited a while to pay...with cash. I can't really give this place any additional stars. Stop here if you absolutely can't wait to eat.

While traveling with my kid, we picked up a simple thing: a pepperoni pizza from stairs. When we walked in, the staff were arguing with each other about who wrote down what, who put the wrong toppings on which pizza, etc.It seemed that the oldest person in the group, I'm assuming an owner? Manager? Was being the hardest on the younger staff, which was difficult to watch. We left after picking up our pizza, And drove out towards our campsite. On the way, we had a couple of slices, rather, we each had one slice. The dough was "bready" and soft, pepperoni and cheese on top we're hardly cooked (the cheese was melted, but barely). The sauce was sugary sweet. Even though we were very hungry, we simply could not eat this pizza and ended up throwing it away. It was a very disappointing experience.

Seriously, my friend and I ordered two orders of fries, a hot dog, a hamburger and two diet cokes at 12:08 today. We were told "30-40 minutes." People who ordered after us got their pizza and sides before we got our food, which was the first red flag. The lady at the table next to us said, "They are losing tickets; you better go check on your food." I did; I was told everything was fine. I asked for our drinks. They were grudgingly given. At 12:50 (42 minutes after ordering), my friend went to check on our food. She was told "It's gonna be another 20-25 minutes!" At 1:13 we finally got our food when I went to the window and asked AGAIN. Two bags were basically tossed at me. "It just came up," the waitress said. I call BS on that! Everything was cold! NEVER AGAIN

I know it is not much different from other fast food joints, but it just feels fresher. Going through the drive thru here was a breeze. It was dinner time and people were out and about, but there were not many at DQ. I could have taken this in one of two ways, it was either bad because this DQ is not doing something right, or it is a good thing because there are so many different choices in the area. Whichever it was, I didn't care. I rolled up, ordered and was around to the window to pay and wait for my food. Interaction with the employees were pleasant and swift. When I got home I dug into the food. I went with the bacon cheeseburger combo meal. I chose onion rings for my side. Onion rings were not so bad, but some of them had a burnt flavor to them as if they were overcooked just a bit. The burger, like I said earlier, tasted fresh. I do know that DQ is known for cooking that burger when you order it and I know I have seen them toast the bun as that happens. The toppings just feel as if they were just freshly cut and put on top. I was digging the burger so much that I didn't even notice that I was getting burger drippings all over myself. I was definitely glad I was at home eating this and not in the restaurant. I looked like a mess. It definitely filled that need for the craving I had. Enough to ebb it off for a while.

My recent visit to Wendy's late at night left much to be desired. After ordering a simple chicken sandwich, I was instructed to pull up and wait for what was promised to be a brief 7 minutes. Little did I know, those 7 minutes would stretch into an excruciatingly long 37-minute wait. To their credit, the staff did attempt to compensate for the extended delay by offering me a complimentary large fries. However, no amount of fries could make up for the frustration of waiting nearly 40 minutes for a single sandwich. It's clear that Wendy's needs to improve their efficiency and preparation, ensuring that such lengthy delays are not a common occurrence. While the gesture of offering fries was appreciated, it's ultimately the timely service and quality of food that matter most. Hopefully, steps will be taken to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.

I have become too dependent on it over the last year, as I think most of us have. It is convenient and all, but my waist line is telling a very different story here. I pulled up, was greeted by the employee manning the drive thru. I asked for a second to go over the menu so I knew what I wanted and would be car friendly for the drive home. I finally make a decision and order. Pull around, pay, and just wait for my food to be prepared. I have to say, even with the uptick of people using the drive thru, they are truly on top of the game. Very fast, had my order in under ten minutes, and the best part about it all, it was all correct, not a single mistake made. I am a huge fan of Wendy's All Natural Lemonade, could drink that by the gallon. Everything was hot and fresh, including the fries. I basically ate the whole meal while I was driving home. Hand food is sometimes the best food.
