the inside of a fast food restaurant

For a Five Guys this is as good as it gets, great location at route 6/I-195 plenty of parking. The dining area is clean with an open concept with plenty of tables. Every table in the dining area was clean Ordered grilled cheese and fries. Fries served hot and crispy and like other locations, plenty of fries in the bag. Grilled cheese consisted of a burger roll upside done, good amount of cheese and prepared perfectly. Plenty of free peanuts and ketchup and malt vinegar for the fries.

I'm always a bit worried about restaurants that get hyped up for me. I've heard so many rave reviews about Five Guys Burgers, just as I did for Umami Burger before deciding it was just alright. I knew it was pretty much fast food burgers made with good ingredients. I also knew that the servings of fries were crazy huge. Both of these are good things :) Recently I finally got to try it out for myself. I'm really grateful that my friend warned me that the regular burgers have double patties, and that if I wanted a single patty I would need to get a "little" burger. I wish this was more clear on the menu actually. I ordered a little cheeseburger with the works and we split an order of Cajun fries. I liked that while waiting for our order we could snack on peanuts. That's a cool little perk. Okay, here are my thoughts on the food. I thought my burger in general was pretty good. The patty was juicy and the bun was... alright... for a fast food style burger. That was fine for me. I had grilled onions and mushrooms on the burger, but none of them were seasoned at all. I kinda wish the mushrooms at least had been seasoned when they were cooked. It really didn't add anything to the burger that I had expected it would. I DO appreciate that all of the toppings are free and you can top it with anything on the list! Perhaps next time I'd go with something more simple and skip out on the mushrooms and stuff since they aren't seasoned. Overall, the burger satisfied my craving and it was just the right size. The Cajun fries were awesome. I have been told the plain fries are so incredibly bland in comparison, and in the future I would ONLY get Cajun fries because they really had so much great flavor and spice (especially next to my burger which had unseasoned toppings, haha). At the end of the day, I could see myself hitting up Five Guys for a burger craving, but it definitely won't top my list of all time favorites. It is, however, lightyears better than any of the other local fast food offerings. If there was an In-N-Out nearby (I WISH), it would be no contest, but until then, it's a pretty solid choice for a burger craving.

Added salt potatoes instead of fries and they were a new favorite. The whole meal was fantastic! I know your reading my review and saying to yourself a burger is a burger, how good can it be? If you don't go, you will never understand!! A few things- this is in a neighborhood. Parking is very tight. Grab whatever you can close by. Also not much seating, it is a small place. The regular steak fries were delicious love their homemade seasoning. The CNY potatoes just weren't it for us, there was a group of 4 and no one really cared for them, but if pepperoncini flavor is your thing go for it. The chicken sandwich was okay didn't have much flavor too it sadly. Atmosphere of track 15 is great and the girl at the counter was kind and friendly to us as well.

First came the wings, wet and flavorful to the max with an extra dilly ranch and real bacon crumbles. In previous visits I have had the BLT and mushroom banh mi to which I also cannot rave enough about. RI food fights brought me in and you don't get access to the whole sandwich menu here, unfortunately you have to pick between their "Mushroom Bahn MI" and their "Screaming BLT". I went with the BLT since I wasn't feeling the vegan option. The description was "chili-hoisin glazed bacon | sliced tomato baby greens tomato jam | dill pickle pickled red onion chipotle aioli toasty thick-sliced white bread". Honestly, it was underwhelming. It had some tasty components but it was pretty average. The bacon was terribly weak. It was probably frozen precooked bacon that is heated and brushed with a hoisen glaze. I was hoping for some thick cut glazed almost candied bacon. Their avg. sandwich was around $16-17. If paying for that, I'd be left pretty disappointed. On top of that, it probably took around 35-40 minutes to get the sandwich. Again, pretty okay sandwich, the pickled onion, tomato jam and Chipotle aioli elevated things, but it's in vain with the bacon they use. Their other sandwiches sound good, so it's possible I'll visit to try them out at some point but can't see myself running back here after my impression with this BLT.

The parking lot can be hard to get out of at prime time for traffic, but there is a decent amount of parking as it seems most people were just picking up and leaving. There is some seating inside though! The staff at the counter were SO friendly! It's refreshing to recieve good customer service these days. We got the family meal deal which comes with 4 fully customizable roast beef sandwiches and 2 large fries or onion rings (onion rings have a $2 up charge) for 29.99 which for the size of the sandwiches and fries it is definitely worth it. We also got two sides of pickles, and a bottle of their BBQ sauce to try. The pickles are your average deli style pickle slices. The BBQ sauce is the best mix of sweet and tangy, with a little bit of spice. Everything even after a half hour drive was hot and fresh tasting. We will definitely be back for more!

I can only speak to the corned beef Reuben, but I found it a bit underwhelming. It seemed light on both the meat and the coleslaw. The cheese was nicely melted, which was a plus, but there just wasn't enough slaw to really bring the sandwich together. In hindsight, maybe I should have tried the roast beef instead. As for value, the prices felt a bit on the higher side, especially since everything appeared to be à la carte. I didn't notice any combo meals available.

Stopped in for lunch during the week. They have a small parking area next to the building that will…read morehold about a dozen vehicles. Otherwise it's free, on-street parking in the surrounding neighborhood or main road. The 'pull' door (not automatic) is at ground level and once in the vestibule, there is a ramp up into the restaurant and steps up into the bar area. We sat at a high top in the bar area. Two dining rooms have wooden tables and chairs, mostly in a four-top size. The bar area has a high, vaulted ceiling and the two ceiling fans are a large baseball in a glove. Cute. Walls are real wood paneled on the bottom 2/3 and painted cream at the top 1/3 with dark wood floors. Everything looked nice and clean and cozy. High-tops in the bar area each had bag hooks under the table top which I love. Our waitress was the bartender. The bar was about half full and there were maybe two other tables in the restaurant. She brought over place mats, flatware and menu's and took our drink order. The menu is large and includes sandwiches, burgers, steaks, apps, soups and salads, plus. It's pretty big. We had a good amount of time to review all the menu options, plus the 'specials' menu she left with us. We both chose steak based entrées. A table top sign lists some seasonal adult beverages available and the menu includes other bar selections. Food was brought out by a kitchen employee. I think it may have been the cook/chef. It took a while for the food to come out of the kitchen and I suspect it's bare bones staff during the week. They were very friendly and asked if we needed anything else. The waitress also stopped by after several minutes to check in with us. The steak was tender however those knives need to be replaced. Because it was hard to cut, I thought the steak would be 'tough', but it was very nice. The fries are excellent. I did enjoy those. Mashed potatoes appear to be 'real' (not reconstituted flakes). My steak was a bit undercooked but I only ate about half. I concentrated on cutting the outer bits which left the center a perfect temp for reheating at home. It heated up quite well and was still tender. So in the end, it worked in my favor. Although I'm not sure how they fry the egg on top of the Portuguese steak, it was fluffy and had a nice soft yolk. (I could have sent the steak back to be re-fired if I was unhappy, but knew I'd probably not eat it all, so again, it worked in my favor) Gendered restrooms are off the bar area. Ladies has two small stalls with no gaps at the edges. Thumbs up for that. Men's room has a stall and a urinal (I asked, didn't look). Not sure about another comment on here regarding 'no lock' on the men's room. The stall has a lock. If you need privacy, use that. Each restroom is too small for a changing table. I asked about the parking situation as the lot is not big enough to accommodate all the tables and after talking about on-street parking options was told on the weekends (Friday - Sunday) it's a full house. So do plan some time to find parking. I'm not sure they take reservations though and the vestibule has only one seat that I noticed for waiting. Food quality is good. Service is friendly. Full bar. Big menu. Clean restrooms. Only the parking situation is possibly problematic and that's really a state of mind. Desfrute da sua refeição!

When I walked in, the bartendress was very nice and helpful. She refilled my water bottle, talked through beers, and changed the TV to the bowl game I requested, despite a lot of back and forth on New Year's Eve. While I was at the bar I looked over at the guy next to me and his steak was amazingly perfectly pink throughout. People around me sounded very happy with the size and flavor of their drinks, but as far as beer goes there is a limited tap, all on the lighter side despite 15-16 openings. So the bar is great. Stay at the bar. Finally my friend arrived and we went for a table. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. First, I discovered that the only restrooms in the building are tiny, meant for one person but not a locking door. I ordered clam chowdah, cod fish cakes, and the obligatory stuffie, all at the same time (same for my friend, no appetizer). All in all, it took nearly an hour for the chowder to come out, and the place was far from packed, with a few but not overwhelmingly many to-go orders. Finally, the chowder came out. Waiting, waiting, tasted... another 5-10 minutes before the other food started trickling so I could finally eat while my friend did the same. Chowder: 2.5 stars. It looked thick and creamy, but it was overwhelmingly potato. I was hunting and there are a few clams, but it's not even soup. It's potato. Just too much. Cod fish cakes: 2.5 stars. Way too much breading. I tried and could not actually taste any fish. I'm sure it's in there somewhere, but minced to smithereens so you can't tell. Stuffie: 3 stars. Another place where it's mostly breading, but at least my notes say "decent amount" instead of "where's the clam?". My friend: He loved the chicken half of the chicken parm, said it was cooked perfectly, but left the noodles. Generic noodles, the sauce he said didn't taste store-bought but the tomatoes were definitely canned. And the kicker? They never brought us napkins. Verdict: A low 3 stars overall, and that's mainly for the bar side of things. Stick to drinks.
