I know the burgers aren't good for you, I know they give too many fries, I know I shouldn't drink the sugar soda, but.... I love Five Guys. There, I said it. I love their bacon cheeseburger and love the fact that I can get grilled mushrooms and onions...plus you can get the jalapenos grilled if you want. They give way too many fries but my wife and I always eat them all (get a regular size, not a large), and they have a nice selection of soda to choose from. This is a place I frequent once every six months, but when I do, I'm in heaven....Five Guys Heaven (FGH), where the clouds are made of burgers and you ride slices of cheese around FGH smelling all of the delicious meat and the fries rain down on you so you can open your mouth and eat all you want. The line appeared long, but our wait time was probably under 10 minutes to order, and another 10 minutes after our order was put in. The free peanuts provided for customers were a welcomed distraction to the wait. The menu consists of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, bacon cheeseburgers, a few hotdog variations and fries. The regular burgers actually have two patties, and the mini versions have one patty. We both ordered bacon cheeseburgers and split a "regular" order of fries, which is the smaller size. By smaller I mean smaller of the two massive sizes. It could have fed three people. All the burgers are cooked well done, but still have a lot of flavor. There is a choice of 15 different toppings from which you can pick as many or as little as you like for no extra charge. Our total order of 2 bacon cheeseburgers and one regular size fries came to about $15 total, and neither of us could finish. This place is absolutely worth the hype and the wait. My only complaint is that with the dining room so busy and crowded, cleanliness sort of falls to the wayside. read more

I had heard and read so much about this franchise that I thought I'd give it a shot if I ever had the opportunity. Well I was in the neighborhood of this location at lunchtime today, and when I drove up the parking lot didn't seem too full, thus allaying my fears of the crowds this franchise is infamous for, so I decided today was the day. I ordered a burger, regular fries, and regular soda. My first surprise was the total came out to be over $10, which I think is pricey for a burger lunch. It wasn't too crowded so I didn't have a problem finding a place to sit. Maybe because it was lunchtime on a Tuesday. Next it took about ten minutes for my food to be ready. I appreciate the freshly made nature of the food and I wasn't really in a rush, but if you are looking for fast food, go across the street to BK or McD's. As for the food, the burger is big because it's a double and the fries would easily serve two people, so maybe the price becomes a little more reasonable. The burger was good, neither the best nor the worst I've ever had, and the fries were the same. Overall I'm glad I went so I can say that I did. I had heard a lot about this chain and can't believe it took me this long to give it a try! My wife had eaten there a few times before and really enjoyed it. We decided to order via the internet which was extremely convenient; very nice UI! The food tasted very good. I ordered the burger with grilled onions and mushrooms. It was a bit greasy, but that's usually a good sign! The reason for the low score was because the food did not agree with me at all! I have heard rave reviews of this place countless times. I've even sat across from others eating these burgers on a number of occasions. Today I decided to try my first Five Guys Burger -- and I can assure you, it will be my last. The best part of getting Five Guys is that we ordered takeout which made it easy to throw everything away without offending the restaurant or other patrons and making any sort of scene. There were many bad things to discuss. The burger was saturated with grease and crumbled to pieces because it was way too overcooked. The buns were completely soggy and the toppings (which I heard so much about) lacked any real flavor or freshness. The cheese looked like Velveeta, but somehow managed to taste more bland and processed. The mushrooms were a huge letdown... Considering the cost to get a couple burgers, an order of fries and a couple of drinks - this is easily the worst value burger I've seen. Complete disappointment. read more

Five Guys Burger and Fries... friends have been raving about you.. so I had to check you out. Stopped in for lunch one day and at first I was a little skeptical, seemed like a clean version of an average burger joint. Albeit it a sort of pricey burger joint. But I took my turn at the counter and order a double bacon cheeseburger... and then I got to choose toppings.. hell yeah. I went with grilled onions, jalapenos, pickles, lettuce and mayo. And added in some cajun fries to round it out. I grabbed some complimentary peanuts and grabbed a seat to wait fro my grub. Peanuts we're tasty, and I was impressed with how clean the place was, not sure if it is an artifact of it being relatively new or not, but the place was spotless and the staff was super friendly. Finally my order came up and I dug in.... KABOOM. The burger was super tasty, good quality meat, and had a nice caramelization that you only get from being cooked on a flat top. That paired with the sweet onions, cool crisp lettuce, creamy mayo, tangy pickles and spicy jalapenos.. I died and went to fat guy burger heaven, oh not to mention the crispy bacon. So good. And then the easily 3 ginat potatoes worth of fries they chucked in my bag. I got a small, trying to eat healthy ya know, and it was maybe an 8 oz cup, but then easily 3 times as many fries as were in the cup were in the bottom of the bag. They were crispy and spicy and the perfect compliment to the burger. It's one of those places where I wish I never went in, because now I can't wait to go back, but it will definitely have to be one of those guilty pleasures that are only indulged here and there. I went by Five Guys today, my first time since the COVID-19 quarantine. I ordered my food on my phone and waited patiently for it to be brought to my car. I noticed my order prepared and ready to go, as I had ordered a lemonade, and there it was, on the tray next to my bag. The woman working took the order and began coming out to my car, only to be stopped by an entering customer. That customer briefly talked with her, and it was clear he thought the food she had was his. I watched as the guy took the lemonade off the tray, only to return it and walk away. I was then so impressed to see the woman took the lemonade back and got me a fresh container! I thanked her when she came to the car. I was SO IMPRESSED by her level of care and service. I didn't get her name, but if she wasn't the manager, she is definitely manager material. Thanks for keeping me safe, I'll definitely return. read more

I have been to this location many times and will return in the future. The food has always been tasty and the staff friendly. The burgers themselves taste great and the add ons are endless! I get grilled onion, pickles, ketchup & mustard. The fries are awesome but can sog out if your commute is too long. They have 2 soda fountains which helps if your in around lunch time. The ladies bathroom has always been clean. Love the peanuts for the wait! But if you have a peanut allergy I'm sure you already know to steer clear! If you need to place an order for an office or other group - the online ordering system allows you to list each persons order by name to make sorting a lot easier! On a Sunday evening during Columbus Day Weekend, I waited about 10 minutes for my order. The atmosphere is loud, bright, and unpleasant; I could not imagine eating in the restaurant, but that was OK because I was ordering takeout. The burger was a nice midpoint between fast food and gourmet; a bit greasy but generous, and the fixins were fresh. The fries were delightful and crisp. This is definitely where to go when you want some greasy fast food, but want a little more quality than McDonald's. It's not healthy food, by any stretch of the imagination, and if you have a peanut allergy, stay far, far away from here. What I like about the burgers is you can customize your toppings quite easily, especially if you order via their app, and they have a good variety of them, too. I prefer the "little" version of their burgers-that's a single patty. The regular has two. Want extra bacon on your bacon cheeseburger? Go ahead. Beyond burgers, they have hot dogs, which my husband swears by, and grilled cheese, which I am actually a big fan of, as well. But really, you come here for the fries... delicious, fried in peanut oil to crispy perfection. With a sprinkle of vinegar, they're little bits of heaven. Better still, if you order a regular, you actually get a sack full of fries. I've been known to hoard mine for the next day. Personally I think the burgers are at a good taste to price point between fast food and gourmet burgers. I've been to this location a few times and have never encountered a wait time that I've regretted sitting through, though I have driven by on what may have been a Fri evening and saw a line that would have dissuaded me from stopping had that been my intent. The workers have always been affable in my experience. Even offering some free fries once. I would assume this was because they were making a new batch and dumping what may have been there a while. The service was poor - while the cashier was nice, the chefs seemed more keen on talking and joking with the each other rather than cooking. It took so long to get our food. I only ordered a hamburger with three toppings and a small fries! Update: I got my food 20 minutes later... And when I bit into my burger, it was driest thing I've ever had the misfortune of consuming. I only asked for grilled onions, lettuce, and BBQ sauce. Five Guys seems to really enjoy cramming themselves into small store fronts and for the amount of traffic they get at high time, it can be a turn off to look at the line. They are fast enough taking orders and shelling out the food though, so if you're looking for some fast food that's a cut above places like McDonald's and Wendy's then X marks the spot. You'll end up spending more money here, but if you truly love a good burger then you already know it's worth it. This place literally only has burgers, fries, and hot dogs. They do make a grilled cheese sandwich, but honestly if that's what you're looking for then you're in the wrong place. The burger patties are loosely packed and thin; if you're looking for a thick monster burger that's been flame broiled then you will be disappointed with Five Guys. I'm of the school of burger loving that covets the thin, loosely formed, grill top approach and this is exactly what I get when I come here. The fries are natural cut with skin still on and it's a nice touch to see the 'Today's fries are from...' board which announces where they sourced that day's spuds. The problem I have with the fries is that they fry them in peanut oil; it gives the fries a very un-french fry like taste in my opinion and makes them look a little over done and brown. They also tend to be very soft, and kind of bland. You put your own salt on and they do have vinegar available which I appreciate, but I just can't bring myself to eat more than a few of them. I just don't get the hype! The hot dogs are all beef and they cut them in half and grill them which is unique. They're alright, but I'm also not a fan of all beef dogs and can't understand why people would waste their appetite on that when you could be getting two super juicy burgers instead. Curiously enough, they have Pibb X-tra as a soda choice here. I just had to mention it. I was so excited to check this place out. I miss having a Fatburger around and even In-N-Out Burger. This seems more a place of excess and sticking it to any thought of healthy eating than it does to good burgers and fries. Don't get me wrong I really like what I had (cheeseburger and fries) but if you manage to eat all the fries they serve you along with your burger then you have to ask yourself, "does my life suck that much that I want to kill myself this way?" I realize a burger and fries are not going to be healthy no matter where you get them but Five Guys just seems to be so over the top from the buttered buns to the double patties to the crazy amount of fries. This place is amazing you can't beat the food. They give you 2 burgers for the price of one with unlimited free toppings. You order a small fries and it's like a XXL and they taste so good one of my favorite places to eat. The staff is always friendly and fast you walk up order and bomb its ready before you can even sit down with ur drink and peanuts. They even give you bags to take peanuts home. They also have really good shakes just wish they had more flavors and sizes. One thing I hate is that they don't have a baby changing table in the bathroom. Happy to find a 5 Guys here, after being introduced to them on a visit to Missouri! A highway billboard alerted us to the location and it was easy access off the Interstate, on our way from RI back to MA. Staff were enthusiastic! Refreshing change from the who-cares attitude often found in fast food restaurants. Of course, 5-Guys gets stars for made-to-order burgers, superior fries, and -- free peanuts. Forgot to order those fries, but they were efficiently and cheerfully added and served with our order. Just wish they had one of those fancy dink mixing machines like the ones in Missouri! read more

Horrible service. My husband went here to get takeout. He ordered one bacon cheeseburger plain, one bacon cheeseburger with lettuce tomato pickles mushrooms ketchup mayo and mustard, large fries and a soda. In addition to costing a whopping $32 for 2 burgers, fries and a cola the genius fry cook decided not to read the receipt and made both burgers the same with all of the condiments. Unfortunately I am the one who likes my burgers plain, and mayo makes me want to barf this rendering my burger inedible. Also unfortunately I did not go with my husband to get this order, so the mistake wasn't noticed until he got home, and after a long day I wasn't going back out to try to get the correct order. Apparently I'm in the minority here with a less than stellar rating and review. I was traveling with a Co-Worker and he loves this place. Despite my initial reluctance he convinced me to give it a try. My reluctance was due to the fact that I don't like food that is cooked in grease. Nor do I like indulging in extremely unhealthy food. Eventually I acquiesced as this fine Gentleman was retiring soon and introducing me to his best customers who are now my clients. I was hungry and decided to order the Burger & Fries. The Burger was huge and portion of fries would have filled a cinema popcorn bag. Plus the food was ready within five minutes. It Doesn't take very long to cook food in hot grease. The food tasted as expected, greasy but with a decadent aroma. Fast forward ahead 6 months from when we ate here, my retired former Co-Worker ended up having Quadruple Bypass heart Surgery. So if you are looking for fast food, get out of your car and go here! You are going to be eating food full of calories and deliciousness so why settle for the mediocre burgers at other fast food restaurants. I am not someone who craves a burger or even really cares about burgers but when I came here, OMG! This is by far the best burger and fries I have had in a very long time. I went all out bc I was eating poorly anyway why not go nuts! I got the bacon burger with cheese, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, and hot sauce. The bun, the taste, AMAZING! The regular size fry is more than enough to split between two people bc I am pretty sure they put the fries in a container, put it in the bag, then throw a boatload more fries on top of it. They offer complimentary shelled peanuts which were saltier than I am used to but it made it even better. The cashier was super friendly and could probably see my excitement as I had never been before (I know...so sad to be that excited). So definately not a place to frequent unless your metabolism is ridciulous but if you want an amazing burger, you need to go here. read more

So I heard alot of talk about Five Guys before they came to MASS. I was excited to finally check them out as they have been compared to Fat Burger or In-N-Out and being a West Coast transplant I was really hoping they would be comparable. I have been to the Seekonk location at least 4 or 5 times since they opened. There is always a line and service is slow . The menu is very simple burgers Fries soda and you can munch on some peanuts while you wait. they also have hot dogs and grilled cheese in case anyone is interested. somehow there is always somebody holding up the line not sure how to order or which toppings to choose. the Fries are delish however I have yet to sample the Cajun Fries because the two times I ordered them I was given the regular fries instead and chose not to wait around any longer for them to correct this mistake. The burgers are juicy and depending on what toppings you choose can be quite a delight. I think the bun is too big and usually I end up taking the patties out of the bun about half way through. Dont get me wrong Five Guys is good. Like I said I have been there a few times and will definately go back but they are NO Fatburger and Definately NOT better than or as good as IN-N-Out. read more

The staff is friendly, and they keep their venue clean. 5 guys keeps their burgers simple, offering only a basic assortment of toppings but oh so tasty.
