Ever since I hit my "adult" years, I shunned fast food. Living in San Francisco, California gave me plenty of choices to help me succeed in my shunning of fast food. Now that I have moved to the Triangle area of North Carolina and I am essentially homeless until I find a permanent residence, fast food is back on my table. My sister has been raving about Five Guys since I arrived in North Carolina. My health-conscious angel kept telling her "NO!" She convinced me that their beef is ALWAYS fresh and they have a trans-fat free menu. Plus, she boasted how they have the best burger and fries in the Triangle. I decided to try it because we needed the convenience of fast food while we are experiencing our transient life-style. All I can say is YUM! Absolutely loved my cheeseburger and gulped down my fries. Unfortunately for my rear, I'm a fan. You can find me every morning running on the Tobacco Trail or one of the many Greenways in hopes to work off all this YUM. Three words: bacon cheese dog. Yes I know Five Guys is known more for the burgers, but the bacon cheese dog is supreme! They split the hot dog down the middle length wise and grill it. Add on any of the toppings they offer (BBQ sauce and grilled onions for me) and a side of fries for a meal that will rock your taste buds. The burgers are great as well. Unless you've got a big appetite, I recommend the "little" versions of the burgers and the regular size fries (which come with enough for two people). I also love that they have peanuts available to eat while you wait for your food. They got bonus points on my most recent visit when they mistakenly gave me a burger instead of my beloved hot dog and then refunded me the difference as well as let me keep the burger instead of just throwing it away. That's a customer service win right there. There may be faster, cheaper, or fancier burgers around, but Five Guys hits right in the middle to make it one the best places to get one. read more

I discovered Five Guys while on a trip to MD. Having them open here was like an early Christmas present. Their fantastic burgers are only outdone by their fries. With fries like these, there is no need to wait for fries at the State Fair anymore. Peanuts are also my downfall. Am I the only guy on the planet not enamored with 5 guys? Granted, their burgers are fresh and tasty. Their regular fries were floppy and hot. Fried in peanut oil ;-) The Cajun fries were overwhelmingly zesty. I've been to a few other five guys, but this one takes the cake! Yes, the huge cheeseburger was outstanding and the fries were hot, fresh and tasty, but the main reason for my 5 stars is how clean this restaurant is. I came with my two year old daughter who is in the middle of potty training. Of course we had to make a bathroom visit. This bathroom was cleaner than most homes I've been to. Awe, Five Guys. You went and mucked it up. Now, I like a good greasy burger as much as the next gal. And am happy knowing a good greasy burger fix is only minutes down the road. The only problem is: I like to order on-line and just go pick it up. Why is this a problem? Oh, because when they pile the fam's order into one bag, all warm and toasty, you don't discover the muck up til you get home and sit down to eat it. Very sad. Obviously, I'm not dissing the food. Five Guys is probably my favorite burger chain, and this is a great Five Guys location. When you walk into the restaurant, you'll notice boxes and boxes of peanuts line the walls, and this location is pretty darn clean for a fast food place. My sympathies to those peanut allergy sufferers (also can't get to-go because Five Guys uses peanut oil too), but free peanuts for everyone else! Five Guys has such a simple menu, but it does each of the menu items well enough that I can't complain. (I will admit the fries are sometimes a little too greasy and can bleed through, so make sure your bag doesn't touch your clothes or car seats.) I absolutely love all the free toppings they have here, and I really appreciate that you can customize your own food since I'm pretty picky. My favorite is definitely the hamburger (and don't forget the grilled mushrooms!), and there's also a little hamburger for those days when I'm not as hungry. The prices are amazing, especially since all the toppings are free! The service at this location isn't the epitome of Southern Hospitality, but are nice enough. They also always have someone sweeping the floor to make sure it's clean. Since the food is made to order, sometimes they take a little longer than expected if you order a larger or more complicated order. Make sure to listen up, as this location calls your receipt number instead of giving you a buzzer! I really wish Five Guys would have a drive-thru as well... then I'd be here all the time! Even though the burger could potentially be a little hard to eat in the car, but I just want to eat Five Guys all the time, okay? read more

Hot, fresh and tasty, it's hard to go wrong with Five Guys if you're in a burger kind of mood. Their fries aren't made as crispy as I like fries to be served, but they are nicely cooked and the portions are generous to a fault. They "smash" their burgers to compress them before cooking them, and they don't skimp on the toppings. So much cheese was oozing from my last one that I ate it (half of it, anyway) with a fork. The prices are fair especially considering I can't eat a whole full sized burger let alone the entire fry portion, so I always have leftovers for later. Pro tip - the leftover fries are pretty good crisped up in your oven! They even have, sort of, artisanal potatoes. They post the name of the farm and region today's potatoes came from every day. You know they're fresh, because sacks of them are often piled right in the dining room. Not a romantic date lunch ambience to be sure, but interesting and kind of cool. If you want a fast food lunch that's a notch or three or five above the usual drive-through quality chain, try Five Guys especially at their North Hills location. read more

This store has been in this location for a while and we've been trying to go to this place till now. I got curious what their vegetarian burger was like, so I ordered it. My mom got their simplistic double stack burger. Once I took a bite of their vegeburger... I felt like I was in heaven. It was so fresh and delicious, even without the meat. Mom's was of course good too, but she's small person so she gave me her other patty on mine and it was even better. I recommend you to try this place out if you live near by. read more

Burgers are pretty good but not the best I've ever had. Can't compare to In-N-Out on the West coast, unfortunately. I don't know if they had a policy change or what but every time I order a burger lettuce-wrapped, they put it in a bowl with 2 pieces of lettuce. I know you can order a bowl but I have never chosen that route. This is the third time this has happened and it's really disappointing. They used to wrap their burgers in lettuce if that's what you picked, now they just flop it into a foil bowl with a couple pieces of lettuce. A lettuce wrapped burger DOES NOT EQUAL a burger bowl. Even if I tried to wrap the burger with the 2 pieces of lettuce, it just wouldn't work the way they used to lettuce wrap them; the lettuce gets soggy and kind of disgusting. I wish they would do back to wrapping their burgers in lettuce if that's what the customer chooses. Otherwise, their burgers are pretty tasty and you can pick all the toppings you want. The fries are given in large portions so a small is big enough to feed 2-5 people. The Cajun fries are usually really salty for my taste so I avoid those. read more

Five Guys Rock! They make a great burger and fries -straight forward and lots of fixings. Simple menu. For those who need to be gluten free. - you can eat the fries here! They only cook fries in their oil. Tell them you are GF. They change gloves and don't handle other buns while putting yours together on foil to help prevent cross-contamination. Their management knows about being celiac and GF. For GF - Order the burger on lettuce and all the way with toppings! They put it into a little tray. With the huge amount of fries, you can never go home hungry, too full is more like it! My parents like to go there when they come to Raleigh. They also love the fries. Tried to walk in an order from the store after multiple phone calls with a busy signal. When arriving there were no customers and five employees standing around. I hit redial on my phone and no phone rang still a busy signal yeah no one was on the phone.They all turned to look at my girlfriend and I as we approach the counter want to ask if we were there to pick up an order I said no I'm here to place an order and they just continue to look at us strangely. So before I ordered I noticed that they were scraping the grill and I asked what time they close the person at the register said whatever time the sign says.She replied yes and did not answer.She didn't dated with a bit of an attitude I'm bout to take your order. To which I replied no thank you I don't wanna order here and I left. So that's my experience at Creedmoor. If you have ever eaten at a Five Guys anywhere else, you know that the burgers are amazing! I love that they are free or preservatives and fillers like fast food chains. While, they are more expensive than fast food, it is worth it! The burgers are humongous and an order of regular fries is DEFINITELY enough for two people.
