There are so many burger locations opening up and sometimes they offer other "specialities" on their menu (ie, Shake Shack or Cheeburger Cheeburger) that I find Five Guys Burgers and Fries to be the cheapest and tastiest option around! For 5 dollars you an get a burger and put ANYTHING on it you want. The small fries are large enough to share and they have free refills! If you get impatient about the wait, they offer you free peanuts which are rather tasty. read more

As we walked in the manager was telling the employee at the register to clock out and work the register for 45 mins and then clock back in.. while we were standing waiting to place our order. Once he "clocked out" he said I can't use the register so she came over and said whatever clock back in I'll take your time later.. One person in multiple roles: counter and cook. When I entered its only her in the service area. I wait for her to finish an order as well as turn burgers over on the grill. Finally, she takes my order very politely and returns to the grill. She still alone. After some time a young man comes to the eating area and a minute later a woman comes to work at the cashier. The multiple role employee leaves the grill area, the young man is no longer present but the lady checking the receipts is still there. She's there for some time. When she's completed her task at the cashier she moves to the cooking area and puts on gloves. By the time my order is checked the fries are burnt, the burger was okay. However serving brought food that is burnt is not COOL even with a smile. read more

I wanted to spend some quality time with my daughter today & while we're over here in Pelham Manor shopping I thought we would stop at Five Guys to get something delicious to eat. There's about 5 people in line with only one person at the cashier. While my daughter is waiting in line the cashier is just talking it up with his co-workers. Also a random guy with his girlfriend walks in and he lets him cut the line and pay without having to wait in line like everybody else. Finally after about 10 minutes later it's my daughters turn to order. She order a large fry with two fountain drinks which comes out to $15.00 which I would only know because she saw it on the credit card terminal. Their receipt paper has pink stripes all over it and faded ink without being able to see the amount of anything. As I just want to get my unsweetened ice tea guess what? IT'S SWEETENED!! Pickup orderers are never ready, employees are rude and snappy and orders are incorrect an unacceptable majority of the time. Don't go to this location. Corporate needs to do some more training or employee replacement. read more

A Burger Joint is NOT A REAL Burger Joint if they DON'T serve MILKSHAKES!!!!! I had 5 guys once b4, if I'm not mistaken in 2013, I enjoyed it, but the problem & reason for me not returning, was the mere fact that they didn't serve shakes!!!!!! Fast forward to the present, after reading YELP reviews & seeing pics, that's no longer accurate. So here I am!!!! Ordered the cheesburger(2 patties) w/lettuce, pickels, onions, ketchup and mayo. Lil fries and of course A MILKSHAKE(oreo) normally 100x I'm on that strawberry. It says free toppings, but for the price I'm sure they factor in toppings. My order came to $17.90, but I'm not complaining. The burger was WELL DONE(we don't eat nothing that's pink in the middle) & VERY G00D , as were the fries and for a small, they give you PLENTY! The Shake was G00D & THICK. Cleanly dinning area, professional employees, an impressive shake selection. I am a huge fan of Five Guys and I go to this place often. However, the last time I came here, I noticed that the employees failed to sanitarily prepare the beef. They did NOT change their gloves after handling the raw meat, and contaminated the cooked meat and other condiments with their dirty gloves. It's your typical Five Guys, what separates this from the rest though, is that the crowd can be overwhelming. I went in during the afternoon on a Sunday but the lines were reminiscent of Black Friday. Eventually the hype of the place will die down, I can understand why it is as crowded as it is though since it's the only Five Guys in proximity to Westchester/Bronx that doesn't require crossing a bridge. I ordered through GrubHub delivery and I have to say I had a very bad experience. My My burger was soggy so much so that my bun was dripping in oil and it was soggy. Not a very delightful thing to eat. My fries were also burnt limp, had no crunch, and weren't even properly salted.I expected so much more from a place that prides in making the best quality burgers but was greatly disappointed. Ordered from Postmates, got a cheeseburger and regular fries with a strawberry milkshake. I've been to the five guys on 34th street and 42nd street and in my opinion the food taste the best at this location (so far). Everything about the taste, especially the cheeseburger which I got with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles, was fresh and perfect. Fries were tasty! (needs ketchup or else they taste a little dry tho), nothing was burnt, no complaints. Buuut - my only complaint being that Five Guys should update their Postmates account to let customers know when certain items won't be available for purchase. I never received my milkshake because the app information hadn't been updated, apparently the machine was broken at the restaurant and I wasn't informed until the delivery guy got to my door. We had the taste for Five Guys and didn't want to drive to our usual place in the rain. We searched for a closer store. We should have went to our usual. When we walked in, it looked like they didn't clean the place in a week. Normally I would have left seeing the filth, but the line was clean and so was the cook. But the guy taking our order, who I presume was the shift leader looked like he didn't bathe in a week. We placed our order and proceeded to walk to the back to pick it up. We were walking on peanut shells and kicking garbage out our way, just so we could walk. I said something about the dirtiness of the place and the shift supervisor sent someone to clean. A customer should not have to tell you to clean your place. It was crowded and the guy cleaning said do you want me to clean off a table for you. As I pried my shoes off the sticky floor I gave him a look and he apologized for the mess. I will never come back to this place. I wasted my money because all I kept thinking about was the nasty environment that it came from and didn't want to eat. I hope corporate reads this and does something. Best burger I have ever had!!!!!! Very fast and I can actually taste the potatoes in the fries and the beef in the burgers! They actually get their potatoes from a different place everyday! So moist, juicy and succulent and they really do give you a lot of (trans fat free) fries! We ordered a regular order of fries and they gave us enough to fill the bottom of the paper bag. I live in the Bronx, this resturants on the border line with Yonkers which is far from the Bronx if you don't have a car. These burgers are so good that me and my brothers take a 2 hour bus ride once or even twice a month just to go eat here, they are so good in fact we have to order 2 burgers when we get here, we spend at least $50 bucks on each visit because we even take a burger and fries to go. I love this place so much I'm thinking about becoming a franchise. Unlimited peanuts, and the drinks are free refill all you can drink, they basically dump a ton of fries in your bag like literally one order of fries can feed two to three people easy; the atmosphere is great and its in Pelham Manor Mall tons of places to shop after eating here, what else could you ask for? read more

I know I shouldn't, but I get a burger from this place about once a month. They are so addictive. You need to be patient because it gets crowded, especially at night. I always get the little bacon cheeseburger and the fries. The fries don't have a lot of seasoning which I like because I would like to control how much salt and pepper I want on them. My boyfriend and I usually love Five Guys but this one sucks. He got a burger and fries to go and the fries were literally so soggy they were falling apart. The burger was soggy too! How is that possible? And it was really obvious that the fries were cooked in old oil. It was disgusting. I've been to 5 or 6 Five Guys in various states and this is by far the worst, Five Guys needs to get this branch up to standard because it would be great to have a good Five Guys close by! I really like this place. The burgers are great, not greasy like some people say. Lots of toppings to choose from, or have em all-that's what I do. It is messy, but it is also delicious. The fries are good...not my favorite. For some reason mine are always slightly overcooked. But whatevs they got cherry Pibb on tap, and I fully support that.
