The burger patties are really fresh and delicious. The grilled cheese sandwiches are amazing. I'm not a huge fan of the fries (I prefer skinny fries) but my husband absolutely loves them. The menu is simple but good. They have peanuts to snack on while you wait for your order. This location is always clean and has plenty of space to dine in. This was our third time to this location and it was, per usual, delicious! The staff is always friendly and the service quick. These are the best burgers in the area with consistently fresh patties and toppings. I've even had the veggie sandwich and it's good, lol. I also think their fries are perfectly salted. We've also tried the hot dogs and you really can't go wrong there either. read more

I admit it ... I let the haterade get to me. I had been a Five Guys fan for years, dating back to MANY stops at one of the originals in Alexandria. As the years passed and the Five Guys franchise exploded literally everywhere in the US, the franchise seemed to lose its luster, especially to those in the DMV who remembered them fondly as a small, family run local burger joint. So for no other reason than the loss of "specialness" because Five Guys was suddenly everywhere, I stopped eating at Five Guys. That changed recently when I was in the Deena to visit a friend. His plans took a sudden change and I was going to grab dinner solo. Having a craving for a burger, I first thought Hardee's ... but I had some time to kill and remembered there was a Five Guys nearby. It had been years since my last visit to a Five Guys, but it didn't take long for me to remember my go-to order - Cheeseburger (the big one) with sauteed mushrooms and onions, pickles, and A-1 sauce. While waiting for my burger and fries, I played around with the fancy Coke mix machines that are in every Five Guys franchise. My Five Guys burger was just as I remembered them from the old days - well done, but still perfectly juicy, with great bread and perfectly melted cheese. The love/hate of Five Guys for many is that they are too "greasy". I call it juicy rather than greasy, and that's what I love about them. West Coast snobs hate it when you compare Five Guys to In 'N Out - and they are right, it's a different burger. It's hard to compare the two. But when you compare two Five Guys burgers from different stores, the consistency is amazing. It's a signature of the Five Guys franchise - they take what a chain their size would normally spend in advertising and marketing and put it into constant blind QC checks throughout their franchise. And it shows. I have had many of the competitors popping up in the DMV area - Smashburger, Elevation Burger, Shake Shack, etc. Five Guys is IMO better than Smashburger and Elevation Burger, and maybe just a step back from Shake Shack (solely because of their Shack Stack). I'm glad I started listening to my taste buds over the marketing hype again - Five Guys, I will never doubt the without merit again. read more

I love five guys burgers. As far as fast food goes, they are clearly superior to the McDonalds and Burger Kings. I like the peanuts while you wait, and my wife loves that you can get fresh jalapenos on your burger. read more

The food and service here are AMAZING. The daytime manager is always laughing and joking with his staff and customers, making it a fun place to come to. The food is always fresh, hot and delicious. It is more expensive than conventional "fast food" joints, but if you want quality you pay for it. If you want a frozen patty that was mass produced last year, you can get that elsewhere for 2 bucks, with a side of food sickness. And contrary to previous reviews, the fries have not shrunk. For $3.50, you get fries that were hand-cut that morning, cooked fresh just for you, and are more than a large fry other places sell you for $3. read more

There were very few customers in the store tonight and it took a very long time to get my order of just one burger and fries. The food was good, fries undercooked but i finished cooking them up at home. I do not like the coke machines they have. I love coke, but those machines are nasty. doesn't even taste like coke. i was skipping on the drink when the girl at register told me i could buy a bottle coke because alot of people feel the same. I said ok, if she could give me a cup, lid, ice and straw to have it in the car when driving. she said yes. but... she wouldnt give me a cup larger than a courtesy cup. Really? I just paid $`15 for a burger fries and bottle of coke and you can't spare a regular drink cup? I'm sure at your inflated prices you aren't loosing much on the cup. Disappointed to be treated like that. i don't mind the charges for good food, but seriously that was greedy and she would not change her mind. Not rushing back to this location. they need to learn customer service. read more

My father went to this restaurant 3 times tonight. The first time he arrived back a burger was missing from the order. You know what hey no one rang it up and mistakes happen ok. We are understanding. He comes back after his second trip to grab the food. All of our immediate family sitting down to eat we open our burgers and my dads burger came with everything he wanted except it was missing the burger. THE most important thing when you order a burger!!!!! So he drives back to five guys a 3rd time. When he gets there and shows the kid there is no burger patty. The boy who was working replied "how do we know you didn't take it out of the burger?"..... What kind of customer service is that? You need to sit down and retrain your staff or really think about replacing those who don't care about your business. This was a horrible experience! I would never go back to a place like that! We are paying customers who were trying to enjoy a Friday family dinner. Everyone knows in this day and age it's hard to come by that type of time. Five guys has really dampened our day with this incident. Thanks for the poor customer service and the accusation of stealing a burger patty. This has cost you multiple customers for life, and will continue to cost you customers with your employees actions. read more

Still overpriced burgers... good but I had a Little Bacon Burger with a Little Fry and Regular drink and if I recall correctly it was over $12 with tax. I don't mind paying for good food but $12 plus for less than a quarter pound seems steep to me? The establishment is always clean and the burgers are cooked to order and good. I asked for years they offer a smaller portion of fries... the little fry is still to much... no need to overload the bag with more fries than what's in the cup! I get they are trying to wow the customer with the overflow, that works the first time... after the 3rd or 4th time it's trivial. If I could rate service and quality separate from cost I would give service 3 stars, quality 3, and cost 1 star. read more

Wow, considering all the great reviews I thought I would give them a try. Was I wrong!!! Rude employee, more interested in her phone than customers waiting to order, and then it was wrong! Imagine that?! I will not call her out by name, but she knows who she is. Ultimately the food was "okay", not fantastic. Had really hoped for a better experience considering I don't live close to there, but work in the area. Next time I will go to Hardee's. read more
