Greasiest burger ever. Just not good. So greasy, the bun was saturated and falling apart. The fries were also greasy and seriously disappointing. I had heard great things about this place and I'm all for paying a fair price for good food, but at over $20 for two burgers and fries, I likely won't be back. While the service was very good and prompt I give them 3 stars because they have peanuts everywhere, from the minute you go in they have boxes full of peanuts customers can grab a bag and munch on, they also have their peanut oil containers on display. My daughter is allergic and I couldn't enjoy my Burger with fries because they cook in peanut oil, they also have a disclosure that their shakes may also contain peanut fragments. Absolutely amazing first time there and I am hooked!!! The burgers were perfect and the Cajun fries are to die for, I actually got another order to take home. And now for the staff, they were so wonderful, the most personable service I have ever gotten at a burger joint! Mykael is the perfect person to have up front!!!! She deserves a raise (if management is reading this) and the guys cooking our burgers and fries were friendly as heck. Third time was a charm. Took a lifetime In N Out burger lover for his first visit. The burger for me was the best of my previous three visits in which the burger was undercooked (little pink inside). This time burger cooked to perfection and fries great as usual. Friend loved the burger and commented on the fact it seemed more like real beef than In N Out. Seen a few Five Guys around. One in Culver City. Another Santa Clarita, Got the vibe this was the place to be, Cooking crew were energized and banter was lively. Peanuts were different. Nice touch to have toppings included. Burger was okay. Maybe it was the toppings I chose. Simply I wasn't Wow-ed. I mean the Habit is a minute away, Original Tommys is in the next shopping center. So five guys grabbed my attention awhile ago: I've been going there a lot since I work in the area. Today I went to five guys because I was craving their crispy fresh Cajun fries!! I drove 20 min away to get my fries via curbside. When I got there they said they were cooking it and will bring it out: I waited 15 min which is fine: when I got my fries I looked and it had no Cajun seasoning on it so I caught the guy and told him and let him look. He said yes that it. Since I've been there so many times I know they always put a lot not a sprinkle: the Cajun looked like seasoning salt not Cajun. He offered to bring me a side of Cajun I accepted and waited: he brought it out I said thanks and poured in my fries and started driving back to my house. As I was eating them I noticed something different and when I looked after I was on the freeway they were Old!! Five guys charged me $11 for old fries!! They reheat it causing the Cajun to come off..some were soggy and some were burnt and old: since I was already almost home I called them when I got home. I called and complained and I received no apology. The girl that answered said it wasn't old: she then got her manager on the phone and I told her...still no apology from the manager... she then asked what I wanted I said what can be done without me having to come all the way back... she said she doesn't know she would have to ask her regional manager...????? Then I said okay thank you and SHE HUNG UP!!! Finally got a chance to try Five Guys with my two sons. They didn't care for the burgers, but I personally like them. I think they're pretty tasty, my only complaint is how small the burgers are. By the time I went to get my drink at the soda fountain, my two boys were 3/4 of the way finished with their burgers. The thing I'd warn you against, is prepare to come out of there reeking of onions. Not only will you smell like onions the whole day, but your clothes will as well. It stinks! This place puts in and out burger to shame. Yes they are a little pricey but ( I wouldn't call in and out exactly cheap ) but in most cases you get what you pay for. I fond the quality of the food much better. I had good service and my food was ready in a reasonable amount of time and found the employees friendly ( unlike many other places around town ). Love the food and service... however when we came in to place an order one of the cooks had a mask half way on. Part of it covered his mouth but his nose was fully exposed. I know it can be difficult to adapt working with a mask on BUT if procedures that are put in place to keep ALL safe cannot be followed then something needs to be done. This really was disappointing! This was my first time to Five Guys. I walk in and was greeted very nicely by the counter person. I purchased my meal and went to look for a place to sit. I couldn't find anywhere not because it was busy but all the tables were dirty. The floor was filthly too. I had to clean my own table with napkins and water. The food came and it was very good. But then I noticed some employees who were off work hanging around chatting with those working. Also, I noticed the off work employees going behind the counter without hats or hair nets on. Seems in general to be poorly managed. If they could manage their employees better it would get much higher reviews because the food is good. I will give it one more shot. It took me 6 minutes to get to the restaurant after i order online,I got there and my order was not ready and after 12 minutes they gave me my order,my burger was perfectly wraped and prepared,i loved my bacon shake.The guy who greet me was very nice.The problem I saw was,this guy was cooking fries when i got here,than he went to prepare a shake,after that he took a order at the register,when he was done with the customer,he answered the phone,and this wholed time he didnt take off his gloves,thank god he tooked them off when he went back to cook fries.There was no manager in the line,this guy was the one who was managing his other 2 coworkers,maybe that will be the reason he forgot.Just be careful. read more
