My teenage son and I go here every now and then for their great sandwiches and awesome fries. It's a fun eating atmosphere, too.

Ordered dinner tonight as I have loved five guys burgers and milkshakes. I love how the place looks. The peanuts r fun. I asked for little bacon cheeseburger. They forgot to add two of the toppings. It says it on the recipe stapled to the bag but the burger was obviously missing them. There was also too much mayo. I ordered a milkshake chocolate and Oreo. They didn't add any chocolate. I am dissatisfied. I wish they don't make the same mistake next time. read more

The food was delicious and the other employees were great but manager must have been having a bad day today or something. We went in for a dine in experience today and asked if we could place an order to be started after we finished. There was one guy up front and we could hear work being done it the back. The cashier made 2 seperate orders and said he would hod the second order til we gave him the cue. As we sat down, the cashier called out towards the back " can I get a little help up here" I worked in food service I know that call with that tone. Another employees comes out and the manager storms out looking agitated. The cashier disappeared to the back. Next thing they call the order that was supposed to be in queue. Before our order was even ready. My mother in law begins to explain that we wanted it to wait and asked if they had a heat lamp to store it under til we finished eating. The manager spins around quite aggressively and loudly interrupts her stating "ALL ORDEREDS ARE MADE TO GO" she tried to explain again and he Interrupts her again to say "Sorry" as he shrugs his shoulder and turns around effectively ending the conversation. My mother in laws said "wait a minute" I stopped her and said it's ok he doesn't want to hear what we have to say right now" as his back was ready to us. This type of service is unacceptable to say the least and I will not consume food made by a person in such an emotional state. I understand that there were clearly some staffing issues going on. But this was u professional and frankly disappointing as we frequent this location as a household on our weekly commute. After this experience, I will be looking for a new favorite burger joint. I have been to several Five Guys locations and I would say this one is my favorite. The staff is extremely friendly, the restaurant is very clean, the peanuts fresh and if you order through the app it is ready when you get there. The meat, buns and produce is fresh as well. I only order the smallest fry because they give you so many it's twice the size of the cup they put them in. They have the cool new soda machines where are you can make whatever combination that suits your fancy. The only problem here is the parking can be a little bit challenging during peak times because of all the great businesses in this strip mall. read more

You can find a simple, small bacon cheeseburger for a lot less than $6.49 anywhere else in fast food land. I doubt you will find as many topping choices however. $3.79 for a "regular" order of fries is extremely misleading. It's enough for two hungry people and three not so hungry. I believe this is the best order or fries fast food or sit down place (I always order them extra crispy as I find the default fry a bit raw inside). A stickler for fresh fries, I wish every place would wait until an order is placed before they cook them the way five guys does. Not being able to tolerate milk I have to take my wife's review of their milkshakes to be very good. If I could drink milk I would like the multiple customization/ mix in options. Service is always friendly and they deliver the food quickly, which is impressive since they don't prepare sandwiches until they are ordered. I like their app, it's simple to order ahead and walk to the pickup when you get there (which is when they will drop you're fries if you ordered them because that's really the way God intended). They have peanuts in the shell you can help yourself to while you're waiting, a nice touch. While the food, service and selection are all at least 4 stars, the place was in need of being cleaned up at 1:30 in the afternoon with only 2 other customers in the dining room. Unsure if your shift leads or managers wear the black button ups, but it's a little disheartening to hear said person in the black shirt talking down to his crew the entire time we were in the restaurant (while ordering as well as when we were eating our food). It's one thing to correct what's being done wrong, but the matter in which he deliberately was rude to the crew was uncalled for. Haven't been here for awhile so looked forward to it since they've been great in the past but not this time. Hamburger and hot dogs were great but the fries were terrible. Limp and undercooked. Ordered Cajun fries and had to tell the person they didn't look like Cajun so she dumped them back out and sprinkled the spice on them and re-bagged them. Contacted corporate office to let them know we weren't happy with the fries and they emailed back thanking us for taking the time to tell them about it and that was that. As much as we like Five Guys food I don't think we'll be in a hurry to go back there anytime soon. read more

Place was very clean. Good customer service and all staff was friendly. While Dining In, a mass amount of students walked in with the line near the door. Probably 15 people and they opened two registers, had plenty of staff to handle the rush and orders came out quickly. Good, fresh burgers. Coke Products. And the fries are wonderful as well. I was hungry for burgers and fries last night, and wasn't really wanting Burgerville's squished little patties again, so we decided to give Five Guys in Oregon City a try (this was my first visit to a Five Guys joint). First impression: The red and white checker tiles seem to be trying to say "Fifties style", but nothing else about the place has any real character. The decor is stark and cold with all kinds of boastful quotes displayed in big, bold, plain lettering. The portions: My family's order of a hot dog, three burgers, and three orders of fries all came out in a big paper bag. The burgers all had decent size to them, but what really surprised me was how generous they were with the fries -- the little cups that hold the fries were completely overflowing with close to double what the cups could hold. We could have gone with two orders of fries and still had plenty for the four of us. The food: I ordered a bacon cheese burger (standard double patty) and added mayo, BBQ sauce, hot sauce, jalapenos, and grilled onions. It was delicious -- the burgers were nice and juicy, and all the toppings blended nicely together to make my taste buds dance. My only disappointment was with the bun -- it was barely up to the task of holding together, and could have used a thorough toasting before meeting up with the burger. The fries were very good, although they were a bit salty (not the end of the world). The kids: The kids absolutely loved the food, and there was plenty of it. The verdict: Definitely worth visiting from time to time as a treat -- I wouldn't quite rank it up there with Red Robin, but definitely ahead of Burgerville, Carl's Jr., or Mike's Drive-In for quality and taste of the burgers and fries. This isn't a place to go to for truly outstanding burgers and fries, but it's a convenient, fairly inexpensive solution --The Block House Cafe in Dayton is still my number one choice when it comes to burgers and fries, and this franchise isn't going to compete with that (but I don't expect it to). read more

I wasn't sure what to expect as this was my first time at a Five Guys Burger. The first thing I noticed was although at 6:15pm there weren't a lot of folks there on a Saturday. I suppose that's good. Just meant we found a place to park easily. A lot of red and white signs explaining what they offered and the gal behind the counter who took our order was super friendly and helpful. They had a bunch of employees getting orders ready and they seemed like they knew what they were doing. After I paid and we turned to a 3/4 empty room we could only find one table clean. All the rest were a mess so we had to sit by the door which every time someone entered a cold blast of air hit us. I didn't know about the peanuts so I wondered why the floor was such a mess; slobs throw their shells on the ground as a novelty, but apparently they also threw their napkins, particles of food and other indistinguishable garbage as well. The food was pretty good. We ordered the double cheeseburgers in a lettuce wrap and the meat was moist and delicious. The onions and mushrooms where challenging since they just fell off the burger and although they provided us with several plastic forks the aluminum foil made it difficult to actually eat the "extras". A paper plate would be nice since we ate there but it looks like everyone is given their food "to go" regardless if you eat in house or not. It was okay. I might be back but if it's going to be like my experience tonight I doubt it. read more

If the Five Guys were dwarfs their names would be Noisy, Shiny, Salty, Fatty and Pricey. None of them would be named Doc. Neither are they Bashful. It's only the first day of operation at this newest franchise in Oregon City but the white and red tiled walls are plastered with covers and quotations from esteemed magazines and random daily papers (The Lakeland Florida Ledger?) singing the praises of the genius behind this company: Burgers?? and...and Fries?? It's just incredible!! Self promotion is the artistic theme here but hey, at least it's a theme. Despite being the stuff of Inc. magazine fairy tales and surprise Presidential drop-in lunches, Five Guys has never entered my culinary experience until now. We thought by not arriving until after noon we'd be cast into the wilderness, or at least to a remote parking lot, and have to hike overland to the grand opening. But no, news hasn't traveled that fast in OC and the college hasn't started Fall term yet so we arrive to find a convenient parking spot, a short line and numerous open tables. There's well over five -- more like 20 -- guys and gals rushing around behind the counter, cranking out stacks of juicy beef and glistening fries. I feel my LDL levels start climbing just from standing in line. This chain keeps getting compared to the famed In-n-Out Burger of my homeland. The So Cal natives then rush to denounce such comparisons with that holy mecca of fast foodness. But I think it's fair to compare, at least at face value. To wit: A very simple menu consisting mainly of burgers and fries. A dedication to using fresh, never frozen beef and potatoes. Old fashioned soda fountain look. Etc., etc. I may never be readmitted to the Golden State for saying so but the quality of the actual meal seemed pretty close to In-n-Out as well. The burgers (a regular burger is two patties) are well done but still quite juicy and the buns are up to the task of containing it all. A good sized list of condiment options, including grilled onions and grilled mushrooms, are included in the price. I do have to register a complaint about the American slices instead of real cheese on a $5+ burger though. C'mon. The fries are available regular or Cajun. Having tried both now I'd go for regular in the future and drizzle them in malt vinegar, as the Cajun spice wasn't really hitting it out of the park and there was entirely too much of it on the poor spuds. The regular fries, on the other hand, taste like potatoes, which shouldn't be remarkable yet it is. As a value I would call the meal just sub-okay: the double pattied regular cheeseburger, fries and a small drink cost just shy of $10, about a buck more than a comparable meal basket at the Burgerville down the road and twice the cost of any offerings from the unspeakable fast food chains. Back at the office, I'm tempted to download the nutritional information but decide instead to live in denial and get more exercise and maybe eat that apple the old crone brought to my door. read more

The burgers are okay. I feel that they are a bit expensive for what you get. The main issue that I have, over it being over priced, is that is is always freezing inside. My wife actually likes that food more than I do, but she avoids the restaurant because of the temperature. We have told the staff and they have no control. If you go, bring your wallet and a winter coat. ;) read more

I love 5 guys. I often think about eating here. What holds me back is how unbelievably cold it is inside. It is SO cold. First time I have been to a Five Guys. Just for other first time people, the little mean single patty and the regular is a double. The regular fry is huge and will feed two or three people. The fries were very good, homemade style fries. Skins still on and cooked just right, I added salt. The burgers were good, the meat was cooked through and not burned on the outside. They ask what toppings you want at the counter, which was nice instead of just assuming you want things. The bun was tasty and bacon was crispy. I like the burger overall, but it was outstanding, felling that it lacked flavor somewhere. Burgers were fine and correct. Ordered through grubhub and when we opened up our bag the fries are COMPLETELY undercooked. Cold to the touch and looks like they didn't put them in the fryer. For how expensive they are it's not worth it. I'll get my fries at Mcdonald's. read more

This was my first visit to a Five Guys Burgers and Fries establishment. Normally if I were in a "burger" mood, I'd go for the mother load, but I decided to try the little Cheeseburger (which is the size of a regular hamburger). The regular burger has double patties and you can have the burger made anyway you want with the available toppings. The four of us ordered different burgers and upon receiving our order, the burgers are labeled with numbers that correspond to the order slip on the bag. This makes handing out burgers easy so everyone's not seeing if they got the right one or not. The burger's food quality was fine, but the fries were hard (almost burned), greasy (or oily since they say they're made with peanut oil) and very salty. I would say the average length of a fry was about 1.5 inches... just a big lump of "shorties". The in-restaurant dining has a lot of tables, but they are really tight and if they were full with anyone older that 12 - chairs would be bumping into each other. I'm not figuring on making Five Guys Burgers and Fries a frequent stop... but I'm sure that the kids will talk me into it in the future. read more

Reading various reviews from others complaining that the fries are greasy or oily just plain leaves me flabbergasted. They are French Fries people ! In case you haven't noticed, they are deep fried. Yes they have oil. Yes they have salt. If you're looking for a healthful way to go, this isn't you're place. If however, you're looking for some tasty fries and a darned good burger, then stop in and try them out. I've been there several times and have always had smiling, polite people behind the counter doling out the goodies. A word to the wise, a small order of fries is enough for 2-4 people depending on you hunger level. read more

Date visited: Jan. 1 2017 AMAZING!!! I finally convinced my parents to come here with me (hate to say - I hate going out alone). And we decided this was our new favorite burger place. We had a lot of food left over (even though we got a mini burger and mini fries. It was the best burgers and fries we've had in a LONG time. The lady who was at the register was so friendly, helpful, and funny. It made our experience so much better. She helped us with ordering since it was the first time at Five Guys; and we were glad she did. Loved the peanuts we got to eat while we waited for our food. So so good. Defiantly will be back! I really loved the burger and fries plus I had a small chocolate malt. Today I ordered the "little cheeseburger" and "little fries" because I was by myself and it was delicious, perfect amount for a late lunch. Burger was fresh and juicy, way way better than those dry flavorless meat patties at fast food restaurants. I will be back! Wonderful that they deliver now too! Only one thing, that I thought too much salt on the fries. I bet if I asked they would leave the salt off or only put a tiny bit as they have a great concept that you can choose your condiments when you order your burger and customize it and no extra charge. To me Five Guys is something you have to eat at the restaurant. If you take it to go I find that it can get a little soggy but I LOVE it when you eat it right away! The fries are always fresh and amazing and when you wanna be bad and have a milkshake you can't go wrong here. read more

Food was okay but the service was not. While in line a cook came up to my brother & me asking how many patties. We said one a piece, so two total. I even said I was ordering the smaller bacon cheeseburger. Even though that's what we ordered with fries to share. My brother made a joke about seeing a double burger being made that looked gross due to all the meat that was on it. Liked like four patties to me. Then we realize while driving home that it was his & of course mine looked just like his!Unfortunately we were already en route & couldn't go back. I'd eaten at 5 Guys in W. Linn a few years back and was pretty underwhelmed. Rolling around the Hilltop area in OC, I spotted their sign in a small strip mall and a burger just sounded good so I thought I'd give 5 Guys another shot. It was around 7:30 on a Monday evening and there were about 7 people in the decent sized dining area. We were greeted immediately and I went with a regular cheeseburger and a large fries. Having already known the fries are super-sized, I split them with my teenaged nephew. We took our order to go and in 5 minutes we were home. Because I was able to add exactly what I wanted to my burger, the only real test would be the beef flavor/quality. I was very happy with it! One note, while I ordered cheese, it was more cheese than I cared for. Just a bit... Service was friendly and wait for order pretty fast. I will return! read more

Guy at the cash register yesterday had visibly not washed his hands in a long while. The burger itself was fine. The "grilled" (read: raw) onions and "grilled" (read: canned) mushrooms had never seen a microwave, let alone an actual flame. Fries were the best part, as they were noticeably hot and fresh. Not really sure what the whole deal is with this chain being as purportedly popular and widespread as it is. This is NOT the best burger you will ever eat and is grossly overpriced for what you get! I'll start off by saying Five Guys is my Favorite place to get a burger and fries, ESPECIALLY the fries...BUT their service is seriously lacking when an order is placed through their mobile app. Every time I place an order this way, when I get there I have to let them know I'm there so they can start cooking my fries. I think that's great, I love that they make sure fries are hot and fresh! But for some reason, they forget I'm there. I will see other customers come in, place their orders, get their food WITH FRIES while I'm still waiting RIGHT BY the fryers. I then have to go back to the main counter and remind them I'm there and have been waiting, meanwhile, my burgers are sitting under the warmer. So much for a fresh burger!
