This Five Guys is located in the busy parking lot of 119th and Blackbob ( Strang Line would be the more recognized major intersection ). Even though it is a shared parking lot, parking may get tricky during peak times. I came in for a to go order for the family. The burgers are made fresh to order. They have not only the regular choices of lettuce, mayo, mustard, ketchup, cheese....but also the option to have grilled onions and/or grilled mushrooms!! Not only do they have burgers, but they also have some tasty gourmet hot dogs! They even have a BLT sandwich if you're not feeling a burger. Their fries are HUGE so don't order fries for everyone! Since everything is made to order, they have peanuts for you to snack on while you're waiting!! They will call your number out when your order is ready. The number is located on your receipt. When I came in, it was the beginning of dinner rush! People were starting to form a line. The place was clean and the employees were very patient with my order. Peanuts were fresh! Yummy and addictive. Minus a star for being extremely pricey for a child's burger.

After a bad experience at Wahlburgers I decided try Five Guys. I was greeted with happiness and was served a delicious burger and shake. Thank you Five Guys I guess I won't ever be able to compare you to Wahlburgers lol

I like the burgers and skip the fries, which always seem to be too greasy, too limp, and too many. I also skip the pricey $2.50 drink. My cheeseburger had two juicy patties with my choices of the 15 topping options. It measured in at 3" high, and was so tall I had a tough time biting into it. The patties were just slightly over-cooked, but the toppings were fresh, and tasted great, including the grilled mushrooms. The service at the counter was friendly, my order was ready in eight minutes, and the dining area was spotless, with classic rock background music. The price with fries and a drink is nowhere near a bargain, but overall it's still very good.

Great burger and fries as usual. Place was a little bit sticky from the clean. Thank you for a great service and food.

I went with Dave's #2 (two sliders + fries) and picked the Hot spice level (two below Reaper). The heat was perfect -- enough to make my mouth tingle without punishing me. Tempted to try "Extra Hot," but maybe those days were for my younger, non-acid reflux self. The sliders came stacked with juicy pickles, crunchy slaw, and Dave's sauce on a soft potato bun. The chicken strips themselves were big -- not the measly ones you sometimes see -- and definitely worthy of being turned into a juicy, satisfying slider. By the time I got home they were a little soggy, but not enough to ruin things. The flavor balance between spice, tang, and crunch really hit the mark. The fries surprised me -- I'm usually not a crinkle fry fan, but these were seasoned crispy, zesty, and honestly second only to Joe's BBQ fries in KC. Big win. Service-wise, the woman at the counter was amazing, handling the rush like a pro while cooks worked the back. My tip for management: add another front staffer and maybe a mic system, since the loud music made it hard for seated guests to hear order calls. That said, she didn't miss a beat, and I appreciated the extra sauces she threw in. I also loved that Dave's doesn't nickel-and-dime you for condiments -- the extra packets made both the fries and sliders better, and it kept everything from getting soggy. In today's world, it's refreshing to see a place that doesn't skimp or charge extra. The space itself has bold artistic vibes and limited seating -- feels more geared toward quick bites or takeout. Orders took a little time, but that's a sign of fresh cooking, not fast-food shortcuts. Verdict? Dave's officially dethroned Chick-fil-A as my spicy chicken go-to. Between the generous portions, customizable heat levels, standout fries, fair value, and strong staff effort, I'll definitely be back. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 as a kudos to value and just attentive, hardworking staff. Rounded my 4.5 up to 5 as a nod to the value and the hardworking staff who made it a great first visit.

Wings: The garlic parm was the standout -- fresh, flavorful, and honestly better than my usual Buffalo Wild Wings order. The tikka masala didn't really taste like tikka masala (more like a standard BWW flavor), but it was still tasty. The only drawback was the size of the wings -- smaller than I expected. Next time I'll probably go for the 16 or 20 piece. Waffle: I picked the Belgian waffle with maple syrup dip. It came hot but not crispy, with just a dusting of powdered sugar. Still sweet and enjoyable, though next time I want to try the bubble waffle for something different. Fries: Got the seasoned fries on the side -- good flavor and seasoning, though like the waffle, they weren't super crisp. Still tasty on their own, but I would've loved an option to pick dips (ranch, queso, garlic parm, etc.) instead of just being handed four maple syrups. Extras & Drinks: They also offer mac & cheese or the bubble waffle as side options, plus unique teas and lemonades for $1 more, or milkshakes for $4.50. Prices on extra dips are $0.99 each. Overall, it's a fun and unique concept -- fair-style food in a neighborhood spot. The food is flavorful, not always the crispiest or warmest on carryout, but easily fixed with a microwave or air fryer. I'll definitely be back, especially to try the bubble waffle and maybe some loaded fries or wraps/buns during happy hour (2-4 PM).

However, I came here again and ordered the boneless wings, fries, cookies & cream shake, mac and cheese, and a chicken wrap that I shared with my girlfriend. This food was absolutely incredible. The boneless wings were crispy, the fries were seasoned well and had a nice crunch, the cookies & cream shake made me want more even though I'm not much of a sweet person, the mac and cheese was warm and made my stomach feel light, and the chicken wrap had great flavor and even better, it was $5 as part of a limited special. The service has always been great. The workers are very helpful, kind, and friendly. You can tell they want to ensure you are having the best experience possible. Keven greeted me and walked me through their spice levels - so on the side of using good judgement I went for a medium 2 strip dinner. Made fresh to order it took about 8 minutes to get my order but it was a lovely change from the slightly warm chicken generally found at a fast food restaurant. These chicken strips were huge! And they've been crusted with the flavor - not drenched in sauce. The chicken was moist and delicious as were the seasoned fries. This will become a go to spot for chicken - winning out over any of the more well known places for me!

Overall, it gives the restaurant a modern street style feel with the bold colors and graffiti around. We bought 2 - one tender and one slider combos $14 each along with buffalo style Mac and cheese with three small chicken pieces $7 and the final bill including tip was $42. The tenders were packed with flavor - crispy and juicy chicken. It was perfectly fried and had the right amount of medium level spice on it. However the buffalo style Mac and cheese was cold and underwhelming - three pieces of chicken with hardly any actual Mac and cheese and fries - it was not what I expected. I definitely expected more Mac and cheese haha. Another downside for me was the pricing of the combos/food- it was high because if you look at the combo it's just two tenders with some bread and sauce. Portion wise it didn't really match the pricing for more of a fast food restaurant setup. The restaurant was clean otherwise and the service was decent - nothing amazing as such. Overall, good fast food with high pricing for what you get.
